''BUT there is a limit to how much one can take, there is more unity amongst us Youth than the elders ''

A succesfull team is one that is composed of individuals with diverse skills, such as Innovation, knowledge, experience and expertise in a particular field, does not matter if they are old or young. Sikhism does not believe in generational gaps, Enlightement can be at a very young age, Guru Harkrishan ji or at a very old age, Guru Amar Das ji.

Unfortunatley, the youth also seem to be divided into a number of Organisations. At least with the ''so called elders'' there is some type of co-ordination under the FSO banner. Let the youth build on this co-ordination.

reality is the youth (those born and brought up) in the UK are uncoordinated & unorganised. the youth are divided into groupings around jathebandhi, caste, politics, etc. an effective protest may well take place for 2009 but what about the other 360-odd days a year? is one day a year sufficient action for us to call ourselves the sikh youth? we should be happy to do sewa in any group or alongside anyone in our Panth. very few are willing to put their own mentality second to the interests of the Panth.

in this march, spectators were left bemused hearing the Naaray - the people with megaphones couldnt decide whether Sant Jarnail Singh Ji was Zindabad or Shaheed, they couldnt decide whether they wanted a Khalistan & they couldnt decide whether they were Sikhs first or Babbar Khalsay. frankly speaking, if we're going to do a protest, great but why must we act like a bunch of rednecks?

maybe next year we can incorporate a debate over Raagmala into our Naaray and show the "Indian Go'orment" how divided we really are!

the only point i'm trying to make here is people are still clustering and clinging on to dogma rather than gathering under Nishaan Sahib & around Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

I noticed that this year too. Some were shouting "what do we want... Khalistan!" and others "India out of Khalistan". Make your mind up! All the naaray need to planned beforehand and thought about so they make sense to the non-Sikh community.

The lines of young kids in 2006 defo stood out and made an impact. Need something like that incorporated in next years I reckon.

The Sant Bhindranwale naareh were:

Shaheed Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale Zindabad

On similar lines to what Simranjeet Singh Maan said in his speeches ,that Sikhs always call their Shaheeds Zindabad ,some Taksalis(Pro alive) rejceted and started to get in a huff about this but thats their own view

What do you guys think about the pic on page 1 with the Singhs stanidng in front of the gallows?

Should we do similar things?

Handcuffs on Sikhs - like to Sikhs walking side by side handcuffed, visuals have a lot of affect on people and are needed more than ever before as people will not want to read an essay when a image or something they see will automatically be sent to them. The Coffins are definately needed again that was very very successful
