A Dutch couple on a visit to the eastern Indian state of Bihar paid 10,000 rupees (£124) for four samosas, the spicy deep-fried snack that usually doesn't cost more than a few rupees.

The couple were roaming around the fair when they got hungry and ordered the four samosas from the hawker.

After the tourists ate the food, a stall owner at the Sonepur cattle fair last week told them his "special" samosas cost more because they were made of herbs and had aphrodisiac qualities, the Hindustan Times said.

After an argument, the couple paid the shopkeeper.

However, not convinced that the high price of the snack was justified, the couple approached the police.

Police forced the shopkeeper to return the change – 9,990 rupees.

A police complaint has been filed against the shopkeeper who has since gone into hiding.

Now that I have time to think about it a bit more deeply, its both funny and sad at the same time. Some Indians will go to any length to loot anyone they feel can be targetted, be it financially, emotionally or physically. What the rest of the world doesnt know is India is actually a 'continent' with several different 'countries' that differ from each other sooo much, i hope you understand what i am trying to say here. These people are going to go back home thinking all 'indians' are the same, they think alike, they act in the same way, etc. Thats where stereotyping kicks in and breaking them becomes such a challenge! I hope such crooks stop bringing bad name to our 'country'. Sorry for not explaining properly, ive come back from uni, really tired lol :)
