Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa,Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

Can anyone advise on the correct sequences of our Guru's Baanis?

In Amritwela,Japji Sahib,Jaap Sahib, during evening is Rehraas Sahib and

in the night before sleeping is Sohila. And after, must we do Ardas?

Pls enlighten me. Tks

@ amritvela:

jaap of gurmantar (vaheguroo) and moolmantar, for everlong ones wishes then nitnem baneeam:

jap jee sahib

jaap sahib

tuai prasaad suyeeay

sampooran (full) chaupai sahib

sampooran anand sahib

other guroo keh pyareh do an extra 5 baneea aswll (shabad hazaarey, baarah maah maaj, shabad haazaarey p 10, chaupai (akaal ustats opening), and suyeaay deen, after that thoose who have immense kirpa would do other baneean like asaa kee vaar, sukhmanee sahib or what ever banee thye feel like reading..)

evening:

Rehras Sahib

(many guroo keh pyareh do artee, and sum with kirpa do artaa aswell)

and if they want to read mroe banee they will..

before going sleep:

Rakheea Deh Shabadh + Keertan Sohila

hanjee ardass is important, in the final ardas of the day u ask siree guroo granth sahib jee maharaj jeeo, to do bakish and get us up @ amritvela, and maafe for mistakes of the day and thanks for everyfink :D

after every gurbanee "session" (i.e after amritvela, after rehras, after sohila sahib) u shuould do an ardass..

maafe jeo!

I would just like to add to my brother aboves post that Gursikhs also do a quick ardaas as soon as they wake up in the mornings thanking Maharaj for waking them up, thanking Maharaj and Shaheed Singhs for their kurbania and asking Maharaj that whatever one is to do during the day, may it be done with Gurmat principles and not to get involved in any manmat.

After this ardas one can then do ishnaan, nitnem, naam abiyaas etc.

vahegurooo

hanjee neehang veer jee, daas has heard that too, but does that mean a proper ardaas ' pritm bhagauti simar ke....'??

maaf karo if thats a stupid question jee :)

dhanvaad jeeo

My sister it is down to the individual wether or not they choose to do add "pritam bhagauti". The main thing is that the ardas is done from the heart.

Whats better an ardas with no "pritam bhagauti" but from the heart or a full ardas half hearted?
