The joys of focusing on Guru Jee’s Charan are countless. Gurbani tells us this. Countless sins are erased if you focus your attention on Guru Jee’s Feet. To wash the Feet of the Guru and having the urge to drink in those washings, your mind becomes satisfied. However some people don’t believe in this. They say that only a fool would drink in those washings. What these people don’t realise is that the water used to wash Guru Jee’s Feet becomes Pure. It is a very hard concept to understand but if your mind continually focuses on Guru Jee’s Charan, your mind will find peace. If you continually focus your mind on Guru Jee's Feet with a loving mind, all your doubts and fears will be eliminated. Let’s all with a loving mind focus on Guru Jee’s Charan.

Maajh, Fifth Mehla:

iqsu kurbwxI ijin qUM suixAw ]

this kurabaanee jin thoo(n) suniaa ||

I am a sacrifice to those who have heard of You.

iqsu bilhwrI ijin rsnw BixAw ]

this balihaaree jin rasanaa bhaniaa ||

I am a sacrifice to those whose tongues speak of You.

vwir vwir jweI iqsu ivthu jo min qin quDu AwrwDy jIau ]1]

vaar vaar jaaee this vittahu jo man than thudhh aaraadhhae jeeo ||1||

Again and again, I am a sacrifice to those who meditate on You with mind and body. ||1||

this charan pakhaalee jo thaerai maarag chaalai ||

I wash the feet of those who walk upon Your Path.

With my eyes, I long to behold those kind people.

I offer my mind to those friends, who have met the Guru and found God. ||2||

Very fortunate are those who know You.

sabh kai madhhae alipath nirabaanae ||

In the midst of all, they remain detached and balanced in Nirvaanaa.

saadhh kai sa(n)g oun bhoujal thariaa sagal dhooth oun saadhhae jeeo ||3||

In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, they cross over the terrifying world-ocean, and conquer all their evil passions. ||3||

My mind has entered their Sanctuary.

I have renounced my pride in my own strength, and the darkness of emotional attachment.

He remains with the Guru, day and night, and his tongue savors the savory taste of the Lord's Love.

avar n jaanas sabadh pashhaanas a(n)thar jaan pashhaathaa ||1||

He does not know any other; he realizes the Word of the Shabad. He knows and realizes the Lord deep within his own being. ||1||

so jan aisaa mai man bhaavai ||

Such a humble person is pleasing to my mind.

aap maar apara(n)par raathaa gur kee kaar kamaavai ||1|| rehaao ||

He conquers his self-conceit, and is imbued with the Infinite Lord. He serves the Guru. ||1||Pause||

a(n)thar baahar purakh nira(n)jan aadh purakh aadhaeso ||

Deep within my being, and outside as well, is the Immaculate Lord God. I bow humbly before that Primal Lord God.

ghatt ghatt a(n)thar sarab nira(n)thar rav rehiaa sach vaeso ||2||

Deep within each and every heart, and amidst all, the Embodiment of Truth is permeating and pervading. ||2||

saach rathae sach a(n)mrith jihavaa mithhiaa mail n raaee ||

Those who are imbued with Truth - their tongues are tinged with Truth; they do not have even an iota of the filth of falsehood.

niramal naam a(n)mrith ras chaakhiaa sabadh rathae path paaee ||3||

They taste the sweet Ambrosial Nectar of the Immaculate Naam, the Name of the Lord; imbued with the Shabad, they are blessed with honor. ||3||

gunee gunee mil laahaa paavas guramukh naam vaddaaee ||

The virtuous meet with the virtuous, and earn the profit; as Gurmukh, they obtain the glorious greatness of the Naam.
