Elections at a Gurdwara usually go hand in hand with squabbles and violence between opposite parties, it has got so bad that its not surprising anymore, its almost considered a norm to have Gurdwareh filled with police during elections.

What i wanted to know is how the running of Gurdwareh in the west work does.

What exactly do the people elected do, what are there role?

How are they chosen into the committees?

If it’s through a voting system then why is it kept quite? E.g. what each indivdual running intends to do with there role in the committee?

What is the gurmat way of running a Gurdwara, how where gurdwareh run in the old days? How where they run during the Gurus time?
