Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

I have thought about this since ages, I want to do lectures at Gurdwaras / Camps / Media etc.

I will talk about Khalistan, 1984, Operation Bluestar, Sant Bhindranwale, Baba Manochal etc.

And i'll also talk about keeping kesh, taking amrit etc.

i've been inspired by Shaheed Jaswant Singh (The Human Rights one).

I'll do it in english, for the Sikh Youth.

I'll be based around Birmingham,

but does anyone have some videos I can see to see how people do lectures.

i think there is a youth camp happening in wednesfield...... and the orgaisers name is gurinder singh....i think

its a kids camp, so it might be a good start for you

It is great that you want to do lectures but a few things to keep in mind...

you need to have knowledge in gurbani as people can ask you anything and if you can back up with gurbani is like the cherry on top in telling people things. Also have knowledge on the subject you talk about..for instance kesh.. talk about scientific and spiritual side etc.

ALSo It is IMPERITIVE that you keep amrit vela and follow reht as much as possible..the bani tuk comes 2 my mind:-

ਅਵਰਉਪਦੇਸੈਆਪਿਨਕਰੈ ॥

ਆਵਤਜਾਵਤਜਨਮੈਮਰੈ ॥

One who does not practice what he preaches to others,

shall come and go in reincarnation, through birth and death.

Bit harsh but there u go

However i wish you all the best singh.. as doing parchaar is not easy and you will always get someone degrading you at some point in time but just think that you are doing seva for future generations to come.
