ਮੁਰ ਪਿਤ ਪੂਰਬ ਕੀਯਸਿ ਪਯਾਨਾ ॥ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਕੇ ਤੀਰਥਿ ਨਾਨਾ ॥

Mur pit poorab kooyas(i) payaanaa|| Bhaant(i) bhaant(i) ke toorah(i) naanaa||

My father proceeded towards the east and visited several places of pilgrimage.

ਜਬ ਹੀ ਜਾਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਬੇਣੀ ਭਏ ॥ ਪੁੰਨ ਦਾਨ ਦਿਨ ਕਰਤ ਬਿਤਏ ॥੧॥

Jab hoo jaat tribaanoo bhae|| Punn daan din karat bitae||1||

When he went to Triveni (Prayag), he passed his days in act of charity.1.

ਤਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਭਯੋ ॥ ਪਟਨਾ ਸਹਰ ਬਿਖੈ ਭਵ ਲਯੋ ॥

Tahee prakaas hamaaraa bhayo|| Patnaa sahar bikhai bhav layo||

I was conceived there and took birth at Patna.

ਮੱਦ੍ਰ ਦੇਸ ਹਮ ਕੋ ਲੇ ਆਏ ॥ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਦਾਈਅਨਿ ਦੁਲਰਾਏ ॥੨॥

Maddra des ham ko le aae|| Bhaant(i) bhaant(i) daaooan(i) dulraae||2||

Whence I was brought to Madra Desh (Punjab), where I was caressed by various nurses.2

ਕੀਨੀ ਅਨਿਕ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਤਨ ਰੱਛਾ ॥ ਦੀਨੀ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਕੀ ਸਿੱਛਾ ॥

Koonoo anik bhaant tan rachchhaad| Doonoo bhaant(i) bhaant(i) koo sichchaa||

I was given physical protection in various ways and given various types of education.

ਜਬ ਹਮ ਧਰਮ ਕਰਮ ਮੋ ਆਏ ॥ ਦੇਵ ਲੋਕ ਤਬ ਪਿਤਾ ਸਿਧਾਏ ॥੩॥

Jab ham dharam karam mo aae|| Dev lok tab pitaa sidhaae||3||

When I began to perform the act of Dharma (righteousness), my father departed for his heavenly abode.3.

He sacrificed his hwole family so that we can survive and live as a society. Today his teachings are all the more important

especially when there is a systematic attack on his bani.

Guru ji give us strength so that we can face gurnindaks with courage and foil their designs.

PITA wanted,and for this let us all be AMRITDHARIS,and make our lifestyle as per

guide lines laid by Sri GURU GOBIND SINGH JI on the day of VISAKHI of 1699, which

are incorporated in various REHATNAMAS. This will be the right way of celebrating

GURPURUB of our spritual father BADSHAH DARVESH GURU GOBIND SINGH.

ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਮੀਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪੁਰਖੋਤਮ ਪੂਰਾ ।

praan meet paramaatamaa purakhotam pooraa|

ਪੋਖਨਹਾਰ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਨ ਊਰਾ ।

pokhanahaar paatisaah hai pratipaalan ooraa|

ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਪਤਿ ਸਦ ਸਦਾ ਹਜੂਰਾ ।

patit udhaaran praanapati sad sadaa hajooraa|

ਵਹ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਓ ਪੁਰਖ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਰੂਪ ਗੁਰ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸੂਰਾ ।

vah pragatiao purakh bhagavant roop gur gobind sooraa|

ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦੀ ਚੋਜੀਆ ਸਚੁ ਸਚੀ ਵੇਲਾ ।

anad binodee chojeeaa sachu sachee vaylaa|

ਵਾਹ ਵਾਹ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਚੇਲਾ ॥੧੪॥

vaah vaah gobind singh aapay guru chaylaa ॥14॥

Bhai Veer Singh JI has composed a poem about Dasmesh PIta as under:-

Guru di je lorh hove Guru vee ajeha hove,

Jese Dashmesh Mata Gujri de laal ji.

Amrit da somaa hove tapeyan nu thhaar deve ,

Santan da sahaaee hove Pyaaryan di dhaal ji.

Vaar parivaar chaare bachheyan kohaae (katvaa) deve,

Desh kaum khater kurbaan vaal vaal ji.

Saari raat pehra deve aap chaukidaar ban ke,

Pap agg vichon lenda Singh nu nikaal ji.

(here reference of Sakhi of bhai Joga Singh ji is given

for whom Guru Gobind Singh ji stood on the door of a

prostitute as guard to protect his Sikh from Bajjar kurehat)
