The first ever National Sikh Youth Football Tournament organised by the British Sikh Student Federation was a great success as over 50 five-a-side teams came to participate from across the country. The tournament went on for a full five hours and attendees said that they would love to attend future such events. A number of speeches were given and stalls were present with free literature about why the tournament was being held and other memorabilia as well as Guru Ka Langar. (Free food)

Medals and trophies were given to the runners up and winning teams.

We would also like to give a special thanks to the General Manager of Goals (Hayes) who worked tirelessly with volunteers of the Federation, especially the Southall and Slough Units of the British Sikh Student Federation who took on the brunt of the work in terms of organising the teams and facilities.

We hope to make this event a regular feature on the annual British Sikh events Calendar and to further improve the event were felt necessary.

Gagandip Singh

President
