Shaheed Bhai Kulwant Singh Akhand Paath

Earlier today the bhog took place for Akhand Paath for Bhai Kulwant singh atmaa. After Bhai Kulwant Singh passed away SOPW arranged for an Akhand Paath to take place in Chandigarh at which his family was honoured for his seva to the Sikh Nation. Bhai Kulwant Singh's mother, younger brother and niece were awarded with honours and respect for sacrifice for panth.

SOPW has been looking after Bhai Kulwant Singh though welfare costs, legal fees, as well as welfare for his family.

The family have invited SOPW to Bhai Kulwant Singh's village where tomorrow where an Akhand Paath will be started in his memory.

The family said that except for SOPW they had not received any significant help from any other organisation, institutions or individuals and due to ill health of Bhai Kulwant Singh's mother and his great sacrifice SOPW Chairperson, Bhai Balbir Singh (Southall, UK) has promised organisation will be setting up a pension for family so they can receive continued welfare to support there needs. Bhai Kulwant Singh mother is very ill left bedridden and paralysed needing constant medical attention and around the clock care.

SOPW have promised to do its utmost in meeting the needs of any other costs or needs family may have in future as well as fighting for the truth regarding what happened to Bhai Kulwant Singh in his cell and guilty parties to be held accountable.
