I know the Gurdwara moved to another part of the city but still sad that it has gone from the city centre. Also, it had been there for many many years... place where our Guru resided for such a long time and a place where bhagti was done by many will now be turned into a nightclub or something most likely. Very sad.

Paji I wouldn't worry about the sale of a former Gurdwara building.

It's the Truth within Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj and it's presence in front of the Sangat that makes a Gurdwara.

In fact we need to reduce the number of Gurdware in towns where less can suffice and create a more united Sikh Panth as a result of that. So if the Panth was to sell off more buildings (or re-develop them to create ongoing revenue streams for charitable purposes) and use those same funds generated to aid the downtrodden and gareeb in Punjab and elsewhere in the world, then we can achieve so much more through that method rather than blindly spending out loads of money on throwing up fancy structures like the Muslims, Hindu's + Christians. Sikhi has a totally different philosophy.
