afew swordsmiths as stated as above have made wootz... in the certain years , the russian version is named bulat , which rhas its root to fulaad aka wootz. please try and use ther techiques , they have alot of research backing this up , the myth of lost art of wootz is gone. or we have something very similar now

this is not ture wootz can not be replicated today lost art. anyone calming so is scamming you. only way to get real wootz is to buy antique kirpans.

Beautifully made.

If I'm not mistaken that's actually Damascus pattern not true wootz Damascus right ?

Also there are swordsmiths who have replicated the wootz Steele by looking at the chemical components and using science to test the various properties.

yes but generally this is accepted as modern Damascus Real wootz can not be made today because it is a lost art. Only way is to buy antique shastars. anyone calming so is a loser because he just wants your money.

done deal, beautiful work! just let me know when veerjee, I would love to be your customer!

edit: Would the kydex sheaths be as plain as some of the ones I see online or will the have any ornamental elements to it?

Thank you for the kind words, if you have any ideas for the sheaths let me know. the only other thing i can think of is laser etching a pattern on the kydex but that would bring up the cost. i could do it but would cost more.

I understand what your saying but trust me it is a dead art. No one has rediscovered it. I doubt me experimenting am going to discover it. what we are using is a good standard Damascus steel. ppl calming real wootz=dishonest... ppl calming sarbloh= dishonest.

can you prove this? if you look at the material it looks VERY close to wootz , the only way you are goin to find out is puttin both under the mircoscope and puttin new and old wootz to the test.

i don't have to prove it do some research no one knows how wootz is made. Ppl are attempting to figure it out but no one has as of today. Anyone who knows anything about metallurgy will give you this answer. even Wikipedia says its a lost art.

Wootz is not a lost art. There is a guy in the NE portion of the US and a few others around the world who make real wootz steel and shamshirs of old style and exact same quality steel.

His good pieces drive up the check book 1000-7,000 dollars and he makes quality authentic products.
