We get no coverage from the like of bbc regarding our sikh marches or rallies or any coverage of our issues even here in the uk, seems we are paying for the trash/ garbage eastenders etc,

Is it not time sikhs refused to pay the tv licence is this not where we should start our campaign so the west and others start taking us seriously. like in the 70s regarding wearing turbans on motorcycles etc.

A sikh is now at deaths door through hunger strike and again we have protested here in the uk but still we get no coverage, their have been protests year after year for 1984 but their has never been any coverage, your views please.

Gays who are not even dying but get discriminated against in the UK and aboard time to time get more coverage than Sikhs do (who hold mass protests in the UK and in some cases are actually are dying like in India). That tells you the status of Sikhs and other religious minorities compared to gays these days.

Whats the solution? educate yourselves how the mainstream media works and how the gays have infiltrated politics and the media in order to highlight their causes. We need pro-sikh people within the media and political arena's. If we are not willing to have people in these important sectors then we cant really complain when no coverage is given.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Western media generally is not interested in covering Sikh issues. They see men with turbans and have been brainwashed into thinking 'terrorist'. Indian propaganda has not helped.

Media ignorance about Sikhi and Sikh issues is staggering. However, Sikhs also need to take action and unify. The list of issues is long...

Who can speak for Sikhs collectively in western countries?

What's Sikh foreign policy? Who's in charge of it?

Where's the UN recognition?

Where are the facebook/ twitter and other social media campaigns?

Where are the demonstrations?

What are the so called Gurdwara masand's doing?

Akal Takht Jathedar, Giani Gurbachan Singh is a weak, ineffective leader that lacks vision. Unfortunately, (it pains me to say) he has only succeeded in damaging the authority of the Akal Takht through indecisiveness and inaction.
