Jio, ok im not that good with MD players, i just invested in a good one that records live with a mic outlet. It saves the files on the mini disk in some next OPENMG format, and i want to either convert or make cds of it. Can someone hook me up with good programs or a way to convert these files.... its getting really annoying :wub:

i think it converts it it to Atrac3 or something

and sony copyrights anything u record

so u gotta do a line in recording(real time)

its a pain, supposedly sony was gonna do something

i dunno if theyve done anything yet though

yeh line in - to the computer and start recording, nto the best for rehansbhais and such but u get another one at home, the new sony hd player i heard supports mp3

Buy the new SONY HI MD it lets u transfer files to ur harddrive thru usb. and you can record up to 45 hours of keertan in LP mode on a HI MD. but they cost around $300 and up.

i got an old net md / good thing i can listen to all the keertan again while recording

...... lol ... veerji this is exactly what i have .... but im having the same problem, it wont let me convert, or im not using the right program... I do have the new Sony MD PLayer which came with a 1 gb mini disk ...... any other suggestions ???

singh ji, for my personal preference...i have never really had good resusts from an MD player... i used to have a net MD..maybe it wasn't too good, but i wasn't happy. Something that i found really useful, is the iriver ihp 120 mp3 player,, you can store up to 20 gigs of keertan on it, and i believe the hard drive in it is expandable. Its a very good peice of equipment, and it sells for around 285$ You can find it at places like best buy :e:
