They were bribed, the thing about these bribes is that missionaries pay the new converts in slow amounts depending on the country the convert resides in. If the converted person is an African for example, they bride them with daily food, if the convert is from a South American country they pay about $25 a month and if they become baptized they pay them extra.

Christianity is purely missionary.

Thing about Latin America is that they are predominately Catholic, so therefore other Christian denominations like the Evangelists are coming in and trying to convert fellow Christians from one sect to another. Weird bunch.

This conversion business is just colonisation by another name.
