Tribune News Service

Femina writes an article titling "Fake hair for stupid Sardarnis"

and Star TV insults sikhs by showing a sikh doing Hawan.

I want you to create some awareness. I just talked to SMART people and their team is working on it. Please create some awareness in your Gurudwaras. Speak Out against timesof india and Indiatimes group. They are the same people who sell womens' body, what could you expect from them?

India times is an intolerant racist group which very anti-sikh particularly. They publish Sardar Ji jokes openly on their websites and when forces of Nadar Shah or Abdali come they hide behind their computer screens.

Please don't let this cool down. Be Singhs now!

Indiatimes and Star TV Insults Sikh Women and Sikhi

Indiatimes and Star TV show their Blasphemous color.

Sikhs are protesting against the racist write-up written by Femina magazine which is under Indiatimes group titling "Fake hair for stupid Sardarnis". Perhaps the group that sells body of women have also shown their true color of racism and intolerance particularly towards Sikhism and have today proved the phrase that Mad dogs can bite anyone!

New Delhi, December 16

The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee today protested against the wrongful depiction of their faith by a popular magazine and a television serial.

"We will hold widespread protests and are taking legal action against the Femina magazine for running this blasphemous article that we believe is a covert attempt to influence the young minds of the Sikh community to revolt against the faith," Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) general secretary Ravinder Singh Khurana said at a press conference here.

He said Sikh leaders would also move the Press Council of India to protest against the write-up titled "Fake Hair for Stupid Sardarnis".

Mr Khurana said the article had severely hurt the sensibilities of the followers of Sikhism

that attaches great significance to uncut hair, one of the faith's five Ks.

He said the popular soap opera “Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand” showed a Sikh with a flowing beard performing a fire ritual in utter disregard of the religion's founding principles.

Stating that performing a fire ritual is an act prohibited in Sikhism, he said the serial makers should tender an unconditional apology.
