We should adopt the qualities of our Guru

ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡਾ ਭਾਲਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ

By adopting the qualities of the Guru, mainly: truthfulness, humility, compassion, live in His bhaana at all times, we become receptive to His apaar kirpa, which then draws us nearer and nearer to Him, Waheguru Akal Purukh, and finally our surtee merges in Him, and becomes one with Him.

And all this is nothing as per our petty efforts if ever, but, His beant wadeeayee.
