But then one day Gurujee smiles, and decides to test this person, and see if he/she can actually stand up to what he/she has been telling other people. This is when you can see for yourself if this individual is genuine of phony. A genuine one would hold onto Gurujee's feet, surrender t…

Sant and Asant ਸੋਈ ਸੰਤੁ ਜਿ ਭਾਵੈ ਰਾਮ ॥: Soee santu ji bhaavai Raam (sggs 867). : Asantu anaarree kade n boojhai. Daughter of Khalsa The First Role of Sikh women In the home of a Khalsa Family I take birth and in the steps of Bibi Bhani Ji I find the purpose of life. In the age of media, there is no lack of role models to whom we mold our lives after but none can be as great as Bibi Bhani Ji. From being a daughter of Guru, she went on to be the wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother of Guru. No other women in Sikhi History or any history has received as much honor as Bibi Bhani Ji. Let us mold our lives after hers by putting Guru Ji before ourselves, reciting Gurbani and listening to our Parents. The leg of the stool on which Guru Amar Das…

The sewa of Gurdwara Baba Budha Sahib (Near Amritsar) was under Baba Kharak Singh. Babaji had built many Schools and colleges in the area. There was an annual smagam at the Gurdwara where many Mahapursh were present including Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. There was Amrit Sanchar but the list of the people for taking amrit was very short. Hearing upon this, Baba Kharak Singh came on the stage requested the sangat (in thousands) that there will be Amrit Sanchar and the people who are not amritdhari please take Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Blessings today by taking Khande ki Pahul. Hearing this few people from the sangat came forward and said that - Babaji, we all will take a…

I always hear babey at my local gurdwara say things like youth should come forward for service of panth and take amrit , because without youth support , panth cannot be strong and sikhi cannot stand . First , Sikhi , by definition of it , is a divine religion specially spent by god through his emissary Guru Nanak dev ji . Then , why God himself couldn't protect or defend religion ? I noticed some people saying we need separate state , the reason being sikhi could flourish and without independent state , sikhism is in danger Why our leaders and religious sikhs feel panicked any average joe or political parties can put sikhi in danger zone or assimilation in hindus ? a…
