Ok So I tie a round (gol) style dastaar. Almost everyday I have people who think I am a singh from Damdami Taksal. Now I don't have any problem with taksali singhs, but I don't want to be called a taksali because I haven't gone to any taksal its kinda like having a false identity but I have been told by some people that when I do path I am just like a taksali. ( I have done akhand path seva bfore). I know It seems like a pathetic problem, but it could turn bigger in the future What should I do Should I go along and act the part of taksali and then go to a taksal later in my life or should I start tying a normal dumalla to avoid confusion? I have a question about Jathere. My immediate and extended family are very devout into going to their Jathere and performing all sorts of traditions and rituals there. At one point Guru Granth Sahib ji was kept at "my" jathera but was removed by some Singhs for obvious reasons. i feel like i'm suffering a problem of jealousy! I'm a very popular guy, mainly within my wider family. Reflecting back on myself i feel that sometimes without knowing i get jealous as i want to be the most popular person or the most loved one. Although i don't do anything to hurt anyone but mentally ill be hoping that everyone likes me the best. Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. To the latter, I would say, you're looking in the wrong spot. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -
