Can anybody give me Info on the bike ride from Birmingham to Leicester being organised like dates etc! How we gonna get to Birmingham with bikes? Whether non-sikh people can participate? Whats the policy on helmets?...do we have to wear one? Do we need to get forms? Where could we get these forms in Southall or do we have to get them from leicester or Birmingham?

WJKK WJKF Sangat Jee, I wanted to ask a question. When ardaas and hukamnama are done for the starting of a khand paat and they start to do Jap Ji Saheb, when do you give out deg to the sangat. When I did deg di seva, some people told me to wait until Jap Ji Saheb finished while others told me to give it out right when Jap Ji Saheb begins. So I am alittle confused. WJKK WJKF

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! After 2 years of preparing myself mentally and physically, talking with my parents/family and fighting my mind, I think I am finally ready to take amrit and wear a keski (my own choice) if Guru Ji choses to bless me. There is no one in my geographic area that wears a keski, and I would be the first one at my Gurdwara, with exception to an elderly bibi whose keski looks more like a ramaal. WJKK WJKF! I have a strange situation. I am engaged to be married to an amritdhari singh in November. With Waheguru's kirpa I myself will be taking amrit next weekend. My fiance's parents are not religious what-so-ever. Which has caused a lot of dispute and confusion our wedding already. They asked for a reception and then further asked for the reception to have alcohol served. However, this was quickly rebutted with my parents insisting they will throw the reception. Unfortunately not all of our demands were met and the party will still have dancing/bhangra etc but will not have meat or alcohol. Hello, I'm doing R.S coursework, one of the questions which came up was.. Explain the Sikh attitiude towards wealth and poverty. Leaving aside Guru ji, the general question of taking afeem (opium) in limited quantities for war/medical wounds is simply unproblematic. When you go to the hospital, they give you morphine. What do you think morphine is? It's an opiate. Even codeine (cough syrup) is an opiate! Ever had a cough? Granted, it is against Gurmat to take opium or other drugs for the fun of it. -
Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. To the latter, I would say, you're looking in the wrong spot. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well.
