i was just wondering whether it is acceptable to smoke sheesha.. As it isnt smoked like a ciggarette its just sucked in and back out which means it doesnt affect your lungs

hi sangat I have a friend & she is Amritdari. She also wears a distar. The only thing that I donnot like about her is that she is with a goth. When I say that, I mean that she is dating a goth boy. He is white, but that's not the issue. The issue is that the guy she is going out with doesn't have a faith. He doesn't believe that there is a God and he is full of kaam & she knows that too. Hello everyone, I just came across this site and thought it was great! I beleive strongly that it is good to have such sites at our disposal, so that we can strengthen our personal faith. but I do have question that have been plagueing my mind for a very long time: WHY (for given reasons) is the 'guru granth sahib' to be treated as a human and even named after a living entity (guru). Leaving aside Guru ji, the general question of taking afeem (opium) in limited quantities for war/medical wounds is simply unproblematic. When you go to the hospital, they give you morphine. What do you think morphine is? It's an opiate. Even codeine (cough syrup) is an opiate! Ever had a cough? Granted, it is against Gurmat to take opium or other drugs for the fun of it. -
Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. To the latter, I would say, you're looking in the wrong spot. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well.
