Muslim Working Environments/studying

Can Sikhs or non Muslims in general succeed working for a company that is mostly Muslim. From personal experience I have been in this situation once which only lasted a few weeks . Because I could sense the hatred that existed for non muslim workers. But what about other Sikhs who find themselves in these situations? Is it a good idea to join one of these places that are mostly run by muslims and what are other peoples experiences. I find there was definitely hostility beneath the surface. And Muslims would just like to be only with their own kind rather then a non muslim.

Peshi? Or An Arduous Will Do?

WJKK WJKF Sangat ji, yesterday I was bleeding from my upper thigh and band-aid would not stick on the wound. So, I took a paper towel and used it as a gauze, and taped it in place around my thigh. Later on during the night when I tried to remove it. Some of my hair came off due to the tape. Do I need to get pesh in front of the panj pyare? Or asking maharaj for forgiveness because i didn't see any other option at the time is enough? All responses are much appreciated.

Do you think that if a non-Sikh committed a crime such as desecrating the guru granth sahib and is truely sorry for what he did, he should be offered forgiveness on the condition that he undergo Amrit Sanchar?

Tying A Dastaar
by Guest Mr Singh- 1 reply

So I have been tying a Dastaar for over a year but I still don't feel I can tie one properly. I used to tie a dumalla and it would hurt my forehead and my ears went all red by the evening. Recently I started tying a gol dastaar. I first do a bunga which is all fine. Then I have a separate 2m cloth and rap it round for solidity. When I tie my dastaar I tie it 2 times over my forehead otherwise it becomes loose with only 1, and when covering the top I do it before my other larhs but It doesn't look right from the back. I tried the covering off the top at the end but same thing happens. My problem is mainly from the back. It becomes like upside down ^ from the back and becom…

Hi all I have never been a seeker of a 'home land'. I always viewed those sikhs as militant and I justified it by saying that I was not like them and they were not being peaceful or cooperating however recently I have educated myself on world history. This is not Sikh history but the history of the world and all the kingdoms that were formed and under what conditions they were formed. I am not even a 'sikh' in some peoples eyes but I learnt that without a 'homeland' then a group of people and its culture die. Asking for a homeland is no longer militant, in order to have peace we need a homeland because without a homeland we are always second class. Its only a matter of…
