  1. Very good point, even during the British Raaj, we had thousands upon thousands of Sikhs who "served" in the Indian army. How many "served" in the administraion. They all celebrated british rule in India and showed their loyalty that they are part of the British empire back then. In those days only a handful of Sikhs realised they were Ghulams and showed independent thought for the Panth. But such independent Sikhs were so few that if elections were to be held back then, they would barely have won even a single seat during the British Raaj. Same situation is true for today. Back then it was Gora masters, now it is Kala Bhayya masters.

  2. From another topic, West London Singh wrote : "Jinnah, made a speech in which he promised us Sikhs an independant Punjab with full rights to the Khalsa, Hindus got worried, So, in 1946 Nehru stood up at the All India Congress, in Calcuttta, and made a public declaration that should the Sikhs of Punjab choose India they (we) will be granted a semi-autonomous nation in the same vein as the Khalsa Kingdom that existed before Nehru's enemies (the British) came and made it otherwise." jinnah made no such statement in 1946, he made this statement to the sikhs in june 1947, in an attempt to keep Panjab undivided. But because of the Rawalpindi riots in March, Sikhs were in no mood to entertain any ideas. For someone who is amongst this forums minority of educated people, one would think that he should be able to double-check his facts.

  3. Only a naive person would have got sucked into promise by Jinnah. Sikhs are well aware of Muslims' promises in their history of how good they are at keeping them. The English who sucked our blood and used us as cannon fodder were responsible for the 1947 carnage.

  8. There is no independence for the Sikhs atleast not in the true sense. In 1947 we basically replaced the Gora masters of UK for the Kala masters of UP/Bihar. Sikh Qaum is still Ghulam

  10. India's "independence" day celebrating Sikhs are basically just Giani Zial Singh type Sikhs. They will see their own people being murdered, their Darbar Sahib attacked killing thousands, then anti Sikh riots occure(no justice to this day!), still they will pretend as if nothing has happened while hanging their head low they will say "Jai Bharat Mata Ki". Such Sikhs have lost all sense of Ghairat in them because they have become toadies of Delhi Hakoomat. It's one thing if a Sikh does not understand the issues, the the guy who wrote the original article seems to understand but has become a choli chuk.

  11. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Dal Khalsa urges Sikhs to observe 15 August, India’s Independence day, as Black Day Amritsar, Punjab (August 15, 2014): Pro-Freedom Sikh body, Dal Khalsa has urged the Sikh nation to observe 15th August, India’s Independence Day, as Black Day. The Dal Khalsa, that held a a Conference on the subject of ‘Azaadi – the only way’ at Jalandhar to commemorate the organization’s 36th foundation day on 13 August, stressed that the struggle of Sikhs was aimed at finding a separate homeland. Dal Khalsa president Bhai Harchranjit Singh Dhami said that 67 years ago Hindus got their independence on 15 August while Muslims got it on 14 August. He said that the Sikh Nation missed the bus as it was not lucky enough to get its own homeland. He said that since then Sikhs had been aspiring for their sovereign self-rule. He rued the torturous and humiliating journey of the last seven decades. Another view of Azadi March held by Dal Khalsa in Jalandhar City on August 13, 2014 Giving the call to Sikhs to observe 15th August as Black Day, he said that there was no reason for Sikhs to celebrate India’s Independence Day. Rather it should be a day to pledge to reinforce our efforts to break the shackles of slavery, he added. He said that their organization was asking for the right of self-determination for the people of the state. Taking Mohan Bhagwat, the Chief of Hindu extremist organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, to task for stating that the cultural identity of all Indians is Hindutva, he said, Sikhs take it as an affront to their separate distinct identity. Sikhs are not Hindus and we reiterate this loud and clear. He said that ever since the Modi Sarkar was formed, RSS had got a field day to mock and tease minorities. Dal Khalsa spokesperson, Kanwar Pal Singh welcomed the statement of Member Parliament from Telangana Rastra Samiti party, K Kavitha, and condemned the registration of a case against her under sedition laws. He echoed Kavitha’s statement that Jammu and Kashmir and Telangana were both forcefully annexed to India. He praised Kavitha for showing courage to speak truth and said that the Sikhs too were cheated by the Indian leadership.

  14. All communities are standing on their history, and all follow the examples set by their ancestors. Ram Chandra killed Bali (Sugreev's brother) treacherously, thats where they learnt the art of fake encounters. Ram Chandra killed Ravan with the help of Vibheeshan (Ravan's brother). Thats how they used "Sikh" generals to attack Sikhism's holiest shrine and then a "Sikh" Prime Minister to apologize for November 1984. At the Kurukshetra war, Dronacharya was misled to think that his son Ashwathama was dead, while it was actually an elephant by the same name which was killed. Spreading false rumors to win wars has been their tradition, this is how they learnt to spread fake propaganda. Black cats in the guise of Singhs were used to terrorize, rape, loot and kill Hindus so as to break that trust which many of the common and often poor Hindus of rural Punjab had in the Singhs. Karan was killed by Arjun unfairly as he fixed his chariot wheel, thanks to Krishna's advise. This taught them the art of attacking unarmed men, women, children, and old people who couldn't defend themselves. Krishna broke his vow of not picking up arms, but at one point he did pluck out the wheel from Arjun’s chariot and was ready to strike Bheesham. Nehru followed this devoutly. Duryodhan was killed treacherously by Bheem who hit him on his only weak spot. That is the reason Sri Harmandir Sahib was attacked, so that the maximum wound could be afflicted on the entire community and psyche. If the Jujharoo Singhs were terrorists, then how do they explain Hanuman setting fire to Lanka where innocent civilians also lived? Why do they then so devoutly worship someone who committed an act of terrorism? If avenging the honor of Draupadi was justified by carrying out the “dharam yudh” of Mahabharat where millions perished, then howcome the Jujharoo leher is called terrorism which started after thousands of Sikh girls were brutally gang-raped right after Indira's assasination? What legacy are these people trying to guard and defend? A group of men dishonoring their own sister-in-law by trying to undress her forcibly? Or a man disowning his wife because she was abducted? Or a youth who enjoys watching women bathe? What is there to be proud of? If you raise a lion’s cub with kittens and puppies, initially the cub may consider itself as part of them. But as the cub grows and realizes that it looks different, that its characteristics are different, it will no longer categorize itself as a cat or dog. The same is for the present Sikh generation in India. All you need to give a cub to make it realize its true self is a small sip of blood (the famous Hindi phrase “sher ke mooh khoon lag jana” comes to mind). Similarly, the day those Sikhs realize that they are unique, distinct and different, the day they get a taste of their history written in the blood of countless shaheeds, the day they drink the divine elixir of Gurbani, all attempts by any of such communal factions to further mislead the Sikhs will fail miserably. This community of lions started by Guru Gobind Singh Jee does not owe any allegiance to anyone but their Guru, and since lions don’t fear sheeps, it is pointless to even try. Guru Gobind Singh Jee said “Vaaheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa Vaaheguroo Jee Kee Fateh”. He didn’t announce that His Sikhs were a sub-sect of a pre-existing community, He called them Khalsa! He didn’t have them owe allegiance to gods/goddesses/prophets, He made them owe allegiance only and only to Vaaheguroo! Thus the Sikh greeting of “Vaaheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa Vaaheguroo Jee Kee Fateh” is in itself a complete declaration of the distinct, unique and different identity of the Sikhs. terex, make sure to learn this history, and make sure to tell your future generations as well. We are made of Amrit, which is prepared in a water-filled iron bowl, using a double-edged iron sword, and sugar crystals mixed in. Do you know why? Because we are sweet like sugar and cool like water, but at the same time firm like iron. It is upto you and your clan how you want to deal with us. We are the people of Degh and Tegh, Degh Tegh Fateh literally means "victory to charity and arms". Now you decide how you want to deal with us. You come to us as a brother, we will offer you Degh. You come as an opponent then face the Khalsa's Tegh. Decision is for you and your herd to make.

  15. All problems in this world - the culprit is ISI. Justice denied to Sikhs; Sikhs raise justice voice - Hand of ISI. Pandava's ask for justice from Kauravas - Hand of ISI. Chanakya prepares Chandragupta Mauraya for justice from corrupt Nanda Empire - Hand of ISI. The problem is Indian media, which is too obsessed with Bollywood, extremely corrupt to shield it's politicians and corporate mafia want a foreign scapegoat for all internal and external mess created by Indian representatives - and that scapegoat is ISI. Innocent people of India see what they are shown, which is all problems of India - Earthquake, Tsunami because of ISI.

  17. terex Have you (or others like you) ever thought why Sikhs do all these petitions? Have you wondered why we do all these protests all across the world demanding justice? We have marches in several cities in June and November every year to commemorate those holocausts? Do you know the reason why? Because tomorrow in the future, when we don't get justice, when you and the rest of the world chooses to stay deaf, mute and blind and ignore our cries, a day will come, whenever it comes, when that generation of Sikhs, be they in India or outside India, they will decide that enough is enough, and will then resolve to follow Dasmesh Pita's Hukam : ਚੁ ਕਾਰ ਅਜ਼ ਹਮਹ ਹੀਲਤੇ ਦਰ ਗੁਜ਼ਸ਼ਤ ॥ ਹਲਾਲ ਅਸਤ ਬੁਰਦਨ ਬ ਸ਼ਮਸ਼ੀਰ ਦਸਤ ॥੨੨॥ When all other methods fail, it is proper to hold the sword in hand.22. And you know, when that happens, then neither you and those like you, nor the rest of the world will get a chance to raise an objection and say "Hey, why didn't you guys try the peaceful option first before using force?" Trust me, don't consider these petitions and protests as useless, don't ever commit the blunder of seeing them as a sign of weakness. It was Delhi in 1675 where Sikhs refused to admit they were Sikhs. It was Delhi in 1716 where thousands of Sikhs were martyred. And it was the same Delhi in 1783 which the Sikhs conquered and hoisted the Kesri Nishan Sahib on the Red Fort. So be very careful when laughing at these petitions and protests. We have had several battles where we have been outnumbered immensely. Whether it was Chamkaur (1704), or Gurdas Nangal (1716), or Saragarhi (1897), or Amritsar (1984), always a handful of Sikhs fought hundreds, thousands, and millions, and all this not for money or heaven, but to uphold the dignity of the Khalsa while abiding by Guru Sahib's Gurmat principles. Yes, we are extremely extremist people. When we decide to be peaceful, you can cut us apart limb by limb and not shake us. When we decide to fight, you can behead us but we will continue to fight without our heads. If you don't believe it, read the true stories of Bhai Mani Singh ji and Baba Deep Singh ji.

  20. Terex, read the autobiography of Advani. He proudly says that it was due to the pressure put by himself and his party that Indira Gandhi had to carry out operation bluestar. How can a so called friend of the Sikhs attack darbar sahib? Besides their role in putting pressure on Indira Gandhi to attack Darbar Sahib, they also played a role in the anti Sikh riots in November of 84. http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?/topic/71530-rss-bjp-role-during-1984-nov-sikh-genocide-rock-solid-proof/

Only those who are fortunate get to keep it, and only those who are blessed by Him stand upto the highest mandatory standards of integrity to maintain the dignity of this saroop at all times. Also, only those who have the least bit of spirituality in them will always find this roop not just attractive but mesmerizing, and those who are manmukhs and have dusht birti will fear/hate this saroop.

  23. Bijla Singh Another Miracle at Harmandar Sahib August 13, 2014 11:28 AM This is a recent miracle that occurred at Harmandar Sahib about a month ago. An eye witness personally told me this account. There were about 4 guys in their early 20s who made a bet that whoever was able to walk through the womens bathing place would get 200,000 rupees. The condition was that he must enter through one door and exit through the other. One guy touted himself to be brave enough to do it. This guy dressed himself as a woman, put makeup on and went to the holy place with other three guys who remained in their normal attire. They picked the bathing place near the Dukh Bhanjani tree and the guy dressed as a woman went to the entry gate. He covered most of his face with a chunni and proceeded to walk in while his three companions stood outside and watched him go in. The woman guard at the door could not suspect that the person walking in was really a guy. But when she saw the three guys standing outside, she suspected something was wrong. She had initially thought that the guy dressed as a woman was a relative of the 3 guys standing outside but when these 3 guys walked to the exit door and she saw the guy inside simply walking through the bathing place and rushing towards the exit, she apprehended him and grabbed him. She said to him, you are not a woman, what are you doing here? The guy felt very scared and fearing that he will get a good beating, he said, Forgive me mata ji, I am blind. As soon as he said these words, he instantly became blind. He started screaming that he could not see anything. He begged for forgiveness but of no avail. His 3 companions ran away and he confessed the whole story. Then few people from sangat asked him where he lived and he was taken home by a bus. His family tried to get him treated but it was all fruitless. He could not get his eyesight back and is still a blind person. 24. I think these love marriages are over rated. 50% of them end up in divorce anyway. All this bollywood luv shuv stuff finishes eventually once reality kicks in, then you have a nagging wife, dealing with her family, she having to deal with her own dreaded mother in law. Then you fall out of love. Ghar ki Geehan Changi, jan Dhanna Levai Mangi Meri Gall mann, find a decent homely Sikh girl to marry in a traditional arranged marriage who will be a good wife and mother to your children and you also be a loving husband to her. Make Sikhi the center stage of your married life, find happiness in Sikhi rather than this fake Bollywood lifestyle. You are lucky you be born a Sikh. Utilize this life for Bhagti and Seva of Guru Panth

  25. source: Sikh Channel Facebook page India News: Suspect held in Ambala beadbi case. The police claim to have arrested one person in connection with the 18 May 2014 incident of sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at Shalimar Bagh Gurdwara. Deputy commissioner of police Surinder Pal Singh said the suspect has been taken into daylong police remand while 10 teams, headed by assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Hitesh Yadav, have been formed to nab another suspect who, he said, would be arrested soon. The DCP said raids were being conducted at several places in Punjab and Haryana. Meanwhile, representatives of several Sikh organisations, including Bhai Amrik Singh from Amritsar, Amarjit Singh of Damdami Taksal , SGPC member Harpal Singh Pali, Sant Singh Kandhari and others, held a meeting at Manji Sahib Gurdwara and gave an ultimatum to the administration that if the culprits were not arrested by May 28 an agitation would be launched the next day. Earlier, the community had formed an 11-member action committee to put pressure on the administration for bringing the culprits to book. They added that additional deputy commissioner Aurbind Sharma and senior police officers assured the gathering of strict action and appealed them to maintain calm. Condemning the incident, in a statement, deputy commissioner Saket Kumar said the administration was serious regarding the matter and nobody will be allowed to hurt religious sentiments of any section of society. In his complaint with the police on 18 May, Gurdwara Parbandhak committee president Manjit Singh had alleged that sewadar Gurpreet Singh had found the locks of the shrine broken and Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and ‘gutakas’ missing and were later found in the bushes some distance from the Gurdwara.
