  1. One of my cuzin who used to be in indian national player and he grew up together with this jugraj singh.. they were hockey mates and as well as classmates... They all used to be in sikhi roop before.. but now all of em are monaaeyy with new fashion of wearing bandana.. in which they look soo stupeedddd This is very stupid of SGPC to represent the siropa.. What the heck is that? I don't get it.. are they doing this to be in the news spotlight? just like jackson trying to throw his baby from the hotel balconY? :umm:
  2. My mom's massey(my mom's mom's sister lol) used to go along with jatha of bhai randheeer singh jeee everywhere.. We used to have the real photo of them doing kirtan and stuff (don't know where it is now :umm: )..
  3. Nahi nanosecond veerjee that's not me in pix.. i think it's some uk singh.. i wish i know how to wear that cool style damalla heheh.. Sikhs were and still they are the strongest trustable friend of UK empire/govt. During the mutinty of 1857, all other indian minorities were against the british and they were killing brit women and children in a cold blood fashion.. (During the time of east ecoast company era, there were no british soldiers stationed in india except couple of hundreds and it took them six months to bring down the whole army from UK to india to maintain the peace.. But who were with brits during the six month time?? They were totally dependant on SIKHS.. Sikhs along with scottish generals marched down from punjab to south part of india via GT road on Horses and they did able to bring lil peace till the huge army came. They knew sikhs are trustable and that's how they did respect us and wanted us to be different than what current india is.. My maternal grandfather used to be in public service too under one gora officer and he respected him soo much that after he moved to UK, he kept in touch with him for years and yrs by letter and twice he said "Move to UK, i will provide everything you need.. documents etc..." So sikhs were highly respected by british.. but there were some time where u can say that they are evil.. but the upper level peeps were good.. Anyway.. i better stop doing blah blah.. Take care
  4. Within 6 months... four sikhsangat.com members/admins took tha amrit !! Me took it last month and im 21yrs old..
  5. Oh yes.. british did some stuff which certainly doesn't go along with sikhi.. LIke they supported mahants etc.. But those ppls are there as Christian Missionary on their mission of conversion in punjab, which of course didn't work at all.. But at khalistan topic.. british did want sikh to have seperate nation.. but by the sweet talks of NEHRU .. master tara singh got fooled and gave away the chance of getting khalistan.. Remember.. After Anglo-sikh wars.. british were nice with sikh community most of the time.. They recognized our bravery in every field..
  6. I would say Bush and all their policy messed up after 9/11 ! Sikhs suffered very bad !! and they suffered more than muslim americans.. Sikhs think that taking couple of pictures with president and other officals is great step for them (indian mentality).. and thats all we doo We avoid long term projects.. 9/11 happened many sikh organization came to born.. after few months their voice/determination died.. We certainly don't think of long term projects about clearing our identity ! Sikh don't want to vote, heck they aren't even registered to vote.. If we dont vote then we don't have voice.. If we don't vote, then don't complain about the candidate afterwards.. Period .. Those above are my views..
  7. AHHH finally some singhs raised their OWN voice !!! This is one good news for UK sikhs..

  17. Taking amrit means.. You are now responsible for several khalsa duties.. Without amrit one *CAN* feel lazy all tha time.. Taking amrit is the guidline for you to have guru sahibs darshan.. (If one takes it serious) Without it, one has to travel in a zig zap fashion road to attain the gurusahib.. Taking amrit naturally bring and create strong brotherhood/sisterhood among in our community without it you will see chugglaess(others behind talk) from women, jealousy and fights etc... i can go on and on.. There are several advantages of taking amrit in our life.. without it one can be in difficult position and might find himself/herself questioning a lot .. bhul chaak ke maaf
  18. ummm.. i don't quite agree.. one can be a guru sikh and one can also do these bhangra stuff once in a while.. Remember not everyone is at same stage level in sikhi..
  19. Oh yes.. every gurudwara where there's a parkash of guru granth sahibs take place are all equal ! But to keep the sikhi panth alive, ONE Must visit these *hitstorical* places .. yes one can hear or read it on internet or from books, but going there in person is totally different and it keeps you aware of our history.. Without knowing our history, i would say we are lost.. and it's happening.. !
  20. I think just like many people call harmandar sahib as Golden temple or darabar sahib and many other names, i think the same goes with guru granth sahib jee as it can be called as adi granth or our 11th guru sahib etc.. (?) I think Sarbloh and dasam granths are different than guru granth sahib. Sakhis is like "legends of our past".. (true stories)
