  3. you are 100% true. Few months ago, someone asked to join the discussion forum to talk them about our religion because they seem very open minded and respectful. When I went to that discussion forum, I saw the hot debate going on. On one side were the muslims, many of them, and on the other side ONLY one person, with user ID Bablu defending Sikhism, trying to clear their misconceptions, but in no way these muslims were ready to believe that Guru Nanak was no muslim. Bablu provided many many historical evidence to prove them wrong, but they did not believe him and kept pushing him down. They were saying stuff like, Guru Nanak wore chola that has verses written on it from Koran, etc. etc. At the end when I was following the discussion, some muslims got <Edited> and started making fun of Bablu that he has funny name. That was totally b s. Go the the follwing link by Sajjan Singh inviting people from Sikhnet to join these muslims' forum: http://www.sikhnet.com/sikhnet/discussion....09?OpenDocument bhul chuk di khima...

  10. wow!!! Very good post Jagjeet Ji. I 100% agree with you. We need to worry about ourselves and improve ourselves to the best of our ability with Guru Ji's kirpa and people will automatically get attracted not to us, but to our Sikhi. I remember a Sakhi in Giani Sant Singh Ji Maskeen Ji's tape that goes something like this: There was a old fakeer used to came to a town for begging. Everyday he went to each house, ask for something and leave. One day, when he went to a house, the guy asked, "Fakeer Sahib, you always come and take and leave. Please tell us something about spirituality so that we could also be benefitted." The Fakeer replied, "If I had something, you would automatically get it. I don't need to tell you" Then Giani Ji explained this further that If someone had sprayed cologne or perfume on his clothes, he does not need to tell others, people would automatically get its smell. And if the person does not have perfume on his body and no matter how loud he yells that he has perfume, nobody would believe him. People would make fun of him. And Jagjit Ji, about Sakhi associated with that shabad, I think I know what sakhi u are talking about. But that Sakhi is not in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and there are many interpretations of that Sakhi. Some say, the meat that Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji cooked turned into 'prashad' and then served to the pandits, but Bhai Vir Singh Ji refused the coversion part. I don't know if you can find his analysis of this Sakhi online. And I don't klow if that shabad advocates the eating meat or not, but I know one thing for sure that is, this shabad is directed towards peole who think they are vegeta rians and better than meat eaters. In this shabad Guru Ji tells that the people who think they do not eat meat are not any better than the ones who do. Guru Ji also gives the definition of meat, and many many many other things that are beyond the scope of your limited thiking. Only Guru Ji knows and make one understand what he is talking about. We can only make guesses. If I made any mistake guessing, may Guru Ji forgive me. bhul chuk di khima...

  12. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Guru Roop Sadh Sangat Ji, as most of you know, I only participate in controversial issues :'( but I feel really really good after I post something, and really really bad when someone does not agree with me Through all this tention, I feel very very bad and sad and broken inside when i participate in these topics and today I was thinking what if someone with love in his or her heart come today to join this wonderful discussion forum and see us fighting with each other? How would that person feel. How would he or she feel about us, who are called sikhs. I just want to say that please all forgive me for everything and do ardas for me so that i always stay in high spirits and in cherdi kala as all of you. sangat di ardas poori ho jandi hai. bhul chuk di khima
  13. You are 100% true Kulpreet Singh Ji. My case is the same. Whenever I posted something, it was always regarding controversial issues, and I always refused to read of pay attention to the topics and posts that I could learn from. And Rochal bhaji, you are awesome. Guru Sahib braught you in Sikhi for a reason, probably because of your past karm, just like Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji braught Bhai Rama Ji towards Sikhi keeep up good work

  15. Bir Khalsa Ji, i feel beg apology if you feel i am diverting the topic here. I never had any intention of doing so. I just pointed out some facts that i have read or known by Guru Ji's kirpa, such as Bhai Sahib Bhai Vir Singh Ji's stand on meat, etc. etc. and It does not mean I am diverting the topic. I also posted a post from Sikhnet Youth Forum witch takes a totally different stand from Bhai Vir Singh Ji. I did not take any side, just pointed out two different sides of the same issue. And by the way, this meat issue is not to be discussed on this forum as the moderators say And it is not a good thing to hate or stay away from what we call meat eaters, cuz nobody is vegetarians. We all eat meat each and everyday. So we shouldn't be hating anyone based on this minor issue. Guru Nanak Dev Ji says that peole who argue on meat are fools. Therefore, we are all fools. At least I am bhul chuk di khima and bir khalsa ji and bhainji balwinder kaur ji if you think i tried to divert from the topic, please forgive ur brother
  16. oooooops i think i hit the button twice
  17. MKhalsa Ji, as I said before, we cannot rely on rehat namas. Many things in them are very very very anti-sikh, as pointed out by Serjinder Singh on Sikhnet Discussion Forum and I posted his post in this thread on this page. It would be great if someone replies to the doubts that I have, which i asked in my previous post. and by the way MKhalsa Ji, I have seen you a few times. tusin dumale wale tan batt kadhe hoye aa. its go great. sanu vi sikha deo kite

  19. Below is the link to a post on Sikhnet Youth Forum regarding meant. This person believes that a Sikh is not allowed to eat meat. He/She has some sakhis related to Gurus' times. It is very informative. I havn't read the whole thing yet, and I don't know if his/her interpretations are true or not, since we have to go and research the resources ourselves in order to see what he/she is talking about. anyway, if anyone is interested, go to the link below: http://www.sikhnet.com/sikhnet/youth.nsf/0...da001616a1?Open
  20. As far as meat is concerned, there is plenty of historical evidence that puratan Sikhs were used to eat meat. Meat was cooked in Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji's raj too. Bhai Sahib Bhai Vir Singh Ji wrote, I think in Kalghidhar Chamatkar, that meat was cooked and served in Sri Guru Ram Das Ji's or Sri Guru Amar Das Ji's langar (I don't exactly remember how the sakhi goes. its been a long time). As most of the people know that Bhai Vir Singh Ji was a Brahamgiani. Also there are many many rahtenamas that do not allow Sikhs to eat Kutha, and the definitions of this word, according to SGPC rehat mariyada is, the meat prepared by muslim style, meaning halal, etc. bhul chuk di khima...
  21. Who is a meat eater, the person who eats meat? If so, then everyone is a meat eater. Even if a person is an amritdhari, he/she also eats meat everyday since there is nothing without meat. Then should we all stay away from each other? Please read what Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji says about the concept of Impurity in Asa Di //: salok mehlaa 1. jay kar sootak mannee-ai sabh tai sootak ho-ay. gohay atai lakrhee andar keerhaa ho-ay. If one accepts the concept of impurity, then there is impurity everywhere. In cow-dung and wood there are worms. jaytay daanay ann kay jee-aa baajh na ko-ay. pahilaa paanee jee-o hai jit hari-aa sabh ko-ay. As many as are the grains of corn, none is without life. First, there is life in the water, by which everything else is made green. sootak ki-o kar rakhee-ai sootak pavai raso-ay. naanak sootak ayv na utrai gi-aan utaaray Dho-ay. ||1|| How can it be protected from impurity? It touches our own kitchen. O Nanak, impurity cannot be removed in this way; it is washed away only by spiritual wisdom. ||1|| mehlaa 1. man kaa sootak lobh hai jihvaa sootak koorh. akhee sootak vaykh-naa par tari-a par Dhan roop. The impurity of the mind is greed, and the impurity of the tongue is falsehood. The impurity of the eyes is to gaze upon the beauty of another man`s wife, and his wealth. kannee sootak kann pai laa-itbaaree khaahi. naanak hansaa aadmee baDhay jam pur jaahi. ||2|| The impurity of the ears is to listen to the slander of others. O Nanak, the mortal`s soul goes, bound and gagged to the city of Death. ||2|| mehlaa 1. sabho sootak bharam hai doojai lagai jaa-ay. jaman marnaa hukam hai bhaanai aavai jaa-ay. All impurity comes from doubt and attachment to duality. Birth and death are subject to the Command of the Lord`s Will; through His Will we come and go. khaanaa peenaa pavitar hai diton rijak sambaahi. naanak jinHee gurmukh bujhi-aa tinHaa sootak naahi. ||3|| Eating and drinking are pure, since the Lord gives nourishment to all. O Nanak, the Gurmukhs, who understand the Lord, are not stained by impurity. ||3|| bhul chuk di khima...
  22. I think khalistani ji is talking about change in terms of Sikhi, such as, we were not allowed to cut hair, and we not today; we were not allowed to commit adultry, we are not today; we were not allowed to drink, and we are not today; Guru Granth Sahib Ji was our Guru, and still Guru Granth Sahib Ji is today etc. etc. If you are talking about in these terms, I fully agree with you. In this sense Sikhi should NEVER change. However, if you are saying change in terms of technology, then I have lil problem agreeing with it. As Pheena Ji have talked about change, everything is constantly changing. When this change would stopped, the would would end. It we had the same mean of transportaion, for example, as we had 500 years ago, we may not have ended up where we are now. The chahange in technology is inevitable and we have to change according to it, and this change does not make us less sikh. bhul chuk di khima
  23. man where have you been. no see no more koi kuri kari tan nahi labh laee This cassette's name is "Shahe Sahinshah Guru Gobind Singh" by Bhai Harbans Singh Ragi Jaghadhari Wale.
