  1. yes clothes should be simple electronics should be like ipods and pda's to listen to keertan and read bani cars are for goin to keertan programes and goin 2 work for grishtee jeevan whats jewerly for? justify it being right
  2. lets just answer this simple question why would one want to wear jewelery? what is its intent? it doesnt work like tht "ticket to sachkhand" no1 has a ticket to sach khand, you have to work on your own jeevan and hope guru maharaaj does kirpa on you how is wearing jewerly going to help you in your sikhi? jeweley on a gursikh does look "ugly" in the sense it doesnt look normal, it is not part of the roop of a khalsa.

  5. thanks giving? is that where americans have turkey for dinner?
  6. Everybody got their own reason. Besides, I never got a credible answer of why keeping kesh is so important to us humans. in the sikh panth there are arguments about the panj kakaars, about what is bani, about what food we can eat but never have i heard anyone try to justify cutting your hair to be called a sikh of the guru as a absolute bare minimum you MUST keep ALL of your kes on your head and body
  7. i dont know anything about kaurageous so im not going to comment on them but if there was an organisation which promted and preached gurmat and there was someone who cut their hair at the forefront of this, isnt that slightly hypocritical? we have to practise what we preach first. obviously these organisations should get everyone involved, moneh, amritdhari, even different religions, but i think the people at the forefront, running the organisation should be practising what is preached ths above is a general comment cos as i said, i dont know what kaurageous do. i thort id post this cos every1 is salughtering the poor topic starter. but yes, true, the topic starter could have contacted kaurageous without making a topic on SS
  8. i hvae no idea what any of those things are, but i thort tht 1st one sounded cool
  9. just out of interest, did baba thakur singh ever get married, have any kids?
  10. woahhh what happened here! this threads gone huge if you have a problem with my one liner, why dont you use gurbani to justify your stance jss, i have already debated with you about this under my previous account run a search
  11. to understand gurbani fully, you need maharaaj's full kirpa, you dont need any1 else you can listen to all of the katha by all of the sants, this doesnt gurantee youre going to get the same understanding they had and if different sants have different interpretations of gurbani, which is right? altho listening to katha is obviously a good thing and will help you with understanding, but gurbani itself has the power to do anything, just by repeating with full faith
  12. is ur freinds mom the panj pyare?
  13. Then I don't want anything to with Sikhs. again the word "sikh" being misused by definition, what you said doesnt make sense some1 who is a sikh of satguru jee wouldnt "go" for any girl
  14. the title of this thread is a load of rubbish!! so biased!!! after reading that article, how did u come up with that???!?!?! both the boy and girl liked each other and were equally at fault im fed up with people always having a go at the muslims when ever anything like this happens if that girl is supposed to be a "sikh" she wouldnt even have dreamed of doing any of tht stuff anyways
  15. i went on akj.org literature section, but cudnt find any mention of keski or saabat soorat dastaar sira a link maybe? or cud u tell me where it is?
  16. come to kingston bro, way better than zimbabwe
  17. there is no be all and end all of gurbani gurbani is unlimited. we can read all the katha that has ever been written and still not understand the true meanings of gurbani this can only come with kirpa the more we do veechar on gurbani the more likely we are to gain an understanding though, and i agree just reading any translation isnt the best way to do it. constantly do veechar over the gurbani within your own mind and with guru jees kirpa understanding will come to you
