chatanga, it contained poems, thousands of them, and other military works and of the art of war for training horses, elephants, hunting dogs, archers, war strategies, etc. its not referring to only sri dasam granth sahib.

If you don't feel well living in that type of an atmosphere you should move out. You're 24 man, you can take care of yourself, you don't need anyone telling you what to do, you should live freely under your own terms and not have to do or say as your parents tell you to the point of choosing what you eat. Moving out gives you freedom and peace of mind, you can plan on starting your own family and live in a household that will make you a better person. Sure its more challenging but thats what life's about.

Agree with Veer Bijla Singh jee. Although I haven't read or heard of the Sri Gur Katha Granth, will look into it. Even today the punj singhs must have punj bania memorized if they are to do seva in punj. Guru jot has been Sri Guru Granth Sahib jee, as japmans wrong bani guru guru hai bani from the start, the reason why Guru Arjan Sahib slept on the floor in kotha sahib where Aad granth sahib jee's sukhaasan was done on a palang. It was only finalized by Guru pita jee but the practice started much earlier. If it wasn't according to his hukam amrit sanchaars today wouldn't be carried out like they are with ONLY Guru Granth Sahib jee parkaash in the hajooree of punj pyaare.

I'm with V. I beleive Sri Dasam Granth to be bani of Guru Pitajee, but I don't think parkaash of the granth should be done in equal status to Guru Granth Sahib jee. Even though taksaal is for dasam bani in amrit sanchars organized by damdami taksal only guru sahib's saroop is at parkaash, this whole parkaash business started with the nihangs and it should end there. We have to understand why we do parkaash of guru sahib first before we try to debate for it.
