Nero is by far the best burning software i have used. I used to use Nero 7 Premier, was great until i had the idea to upgrade to Nero 8 Ultra Edition which is very dissapointing.

are u using a wireless mouse or keyboard... some have the tendancies to act up by themselves... but opening programs, that sounds more like sum sort of virus. My advice would be to download AVG Antivirus (Free Version) Spybot Search and Destroy (Free) both from download.com update them both and restart and boot into safe mode (tap F8 till you get menu, then navigate to safe mode with arrow keys) then run a scan. Safe mode stops third party applications from running... therefore meanin that if any viruses are on the system then they wont start thus allowing you to scan and delete them. hope it helps

it could jus be a matter of deleting the first partition on your hard drive and reallocating it back onto the H drive... which will become your c drive once there is no visible c drive.

is your sound card intergrated on ur motherboard or a stand alone card? also could u give me the make and model number of your computer

it can be downloaded... pm me and ill let u kno how if u dont already... as to the audio, go to Start>Run>type "msconfig" press enter and you will get a enw window. Click the Startup tab and check for something called Windows Audio. if u cant find it then thats fine, but if u do find it make sure its enabled. if its already enabled then to do the following go to Start>Control Panel>(Switch to Classic View) Administrative Tools> Services you should get a new window open. scroll down till you find Windows Audio, double click it and you will get a pop up... make sure its Startup Type is set to Automatic Also check that the Service Status is set to Started, if its not, press Start. Then go to the Recovery Tab and select Restart This Service for the First Second and Subsequent Failures... that should solve it hopefully

wjkk wjkf check that you have the sound card drivers installed by checking the device manager (Right click My Computer>Properties>Click hardware tab>Device manager) if u see a little yellow sign next to something that says audio or unknown then it means u dont have the drivers installed. Also u may not get sonic back with a fresh reinstall of windows... which is why u may need to redownload it and obtain a serial key for it. however id suggest u use Nero as its a all round better program.

if a virus scan in safe mode (try to have ur AV (i suggest AVG FREE) as upto date as possible) doesnt work, then repair option would be your best bet. but i believe that quick repair option is only available with xp pro, otherwise u will have to use the recovery console in xp home.
