  1. oooh aaah yeh, that is very common these days. :gg: But I fear the sikhi parchar being done these days is the real culprit. Also I think it is very important to educate against people who preach against banis of Adi Guru Granth Sahib as well.
  2. is rap part of the sikh"ism" ? may I listen to bhangra?
  3. What is true hindu religion? Hindus are not a religion, it is people like RSS who have turned it into such, the hindu"ism" religion, but originally, the British are responsible for putting us into the religion mindset.
  4. is there no brainwashing in the sikh"ism"? that is disgusting.
  5. This would be difficult for extremists to swallow.
  6. stop being so paranoid! sounds fun )))) sikh"ism" says do this and don't do that???? Don't worry about such things and just follow sikhi
  7. sum chamari London Jatt? and your talking on a topic which talks about abolishing caste LMAOOOO What does sum chamari have to do with me? Ok, but where does this idea come from? And also, do you consdier hindus equal to you, or lower than you? :D Whatever values and traditions are common to the caste. The difference is more recognisable in indian pinds. In uk, where people are more westernised, not as much. yOUR Niddars boy one of his looney toons What's up doc? I am pretty sure Nihang Niddar Singh doesn't know my name, only my face.
  8. I hope your not implying that only a Jatt family is anakhi because you can meet so many proper coconut giddarh Jatt families these days with pretty boy sons who couldn't fight to save their mother's lives if it came to it. You know the type. this is true, there are many messed up jatt families. And I was only talking about marrying into an annakhi family, didn't imply that non-jatt families aren't annakhi. You on the other hand ARE singling out a caste group.
  9. Sunny if you lift passages of other sites, you must also acknowledge reference to them, otherwise it is plagiarising. Yes Nihang Niddar Singh wears bana, every time I have seen him.
  10. Can you explain further about who they are and what they do?
  11. Hi I am sikh because I don't really believe in religion as such in the western context. I believe in all being human beings, I am only called a sikh because I am a disciple of the 10 Gurus. TO me the word "sikh" essentially means disciple or follower. To me this doesn't make me a separate religion to humanity. Also I follow sikhi or sikh dharma/dharm, and don't follow any "isms". And to become a part of the khalsa fauj (army), a person takes the amrit (nextar) (its like a baptism) But to me, any disciple of the 10 Gurus is a sikh. I believe in humanity.
  12. You quote from the sarbloh site quite often - the same site that claims Niddar is the Jathedar of Budha Dal in the UK. Go ask Budha Dal what they think of that. The same site that has pictures of someone's house and claims they are pictures of Nanaksar! I could go on and on. You are entitled to your opinions, just double check everything you read on that site (bear in mind that their main researcher got so disillusioned, he is now a Shia Muslim) or hear from the mouths of the owners. I do know about blending all varnas into one, as Bhai Gurdass Ji has said the same thing in his vaara about Guru Nanak Dev Ji. However, I do not follow the views of westerner sikhs about castes, especially those who have not really been India for generations
  13. A farmer? Since when did I mention I am a kisaan? I am a jatt, but that doesn't necessarily make me a practising kisaan! And what does Niddar Singh have to do with this? :6 Is suddenly everything that goes against your viewpoint somehow always linked to Niddar Singh? lol Regardless, I will only get married into an annakhi family.
  14. hmm maybe the Gurus should've married out of caste? For those people who have forgotten their traditionas and culture, they should marry out of caste if they wish to, cos there won't be much difference in their values and habits.
  15. Whoa! There is nothing wrong about taking pride of your heritage as long you're not looking down on others. tru story ^^^ u well remind me of my bruva - he's a Jatt fanatic - i think its u or is it that otha Bhaji on here....confusssed noooww <_< I am NOT a jatt fanatic, it is just I don't see anything wrong with someone taking pride of his/her heritage. I am a fanatic against people who r anti-jatt )))) in other words, an anti-anti-jatt fanatic :D
  16. Look, Bhagat Ravidass is a guru to his followers just as the 10 Gurus are to their sikhs. Guru isn't a monopolised term for sikhs, many people follow many gurus. We don't have the right to say that Ravidass was or wasn't a guru, however he wasn't part of our line of 10 Gurus. If you understand which context the term guru is used for, then, yes, Ravidass was A guru. Also their nishaan Sahib. Its says Har. Since people are following Bhagat Ravidass before the Gurus, is it right for us to force our views onto them, especially SGPC ones? Oh yeah, also I don't mind people calling themselves chamars, I am tolerant, I don't start lecturing about why r u using caste blah blah, or one of the abusive caps lock fellas in another thread.
  17. Well I before doing chatka, I believe Chandi Di Vaar bani is read. If I find out anymore I will post. Can't think of anything at present.
  18. come on fellow sikhs, equality is good, but please try and see it less from a western gora perspective if you can?
  19. on one hand you say he's too young for marriage, but then you ask about "being together" ? I think you can figure that out yourself (no offense ) But, for talking, they don't need to "be together". I don't like this "being together" business, doesn't soudn respectable, not very annakhi. And everyone matures at different ages, so we can't judge whether he is or is not ready for marriage. Look at young teenagers getting pregnant, or having bf-gf relationships etc. I have a traditional mindset, so for me marriage is a good, if not very good, solution to these kind of problems. And he seems to feel very strongly about these feelings.
  20. what does that have to do with a khalistani shirt? :6 Oh Jattayah I believe paji is trying to back up the point of miri piri with the application to Guru sahib's creation of Akaal Takht - political (miri) and Harmandar Sahib - spiritiual (piri) comprende :6 well I thought he was trying to use Miri and Piri to justify wearing a khalistani shirt? :gg:
  21. what does that have to do with a khalistani shirt? :6
  22. hmmm well the Singh Sabha gurdwara in Sloguh has khalistan banners all over the place . lol But I guess it depends which politcal views the majority of the sikhs have in a gurdwara.
  23. that vaja doesn't come close to the string instruments and it was flattering to her voice, not like a string instrument would have been.
