  1. too much school and education, that was enough to push me away from sports lolz
  2. there is a term called shiv swaroop for nihangs, ie the form of Shiva. But Shiva is also Mahakaal. And there's the terms Shiv Shakti. When we use the term Shivaq do we only look at an idol or person/deity, or do we also look at the metaphorical meaning of such things? Deh Shiva Bar Mohe Ihai
  3. hmm not all uk sikhs come from India, many come from Africa and Afghanistan. And yes, we have cultural differences with them. Although the African sikhs respect turban more than indian immigrants, culturally they are more lacking than indian families, but indian families are also catching up to coconut thinking. Afghan sikhs highly respect turban, and their culture is a different sort, not indian and not really western either, though very urban business man like culture but the rest would be afghan/pashto culture I presume. I guess we can learn from each other, but such a shame that those that come from Guru's dharti are actually setting the worst example for turban amongst other things. And ultimately, people pick up the bad company first...
  4. yes, and I shall find these girls and literally make them cry for being dumb. Once I have spoken to them, they shall shudder to disrespect any ones turban again. MUHAHAHAHAAHAHA (ignore that) oh, Doaba was an area that was majorly used by the British during the Raaj and so became industrialised.
  5. recession had hit us hard, jobs are not aplenty. previous generation could find a job easily, now even with lots of education jobs aren;t coming easy
  6. Well most of the sikhs who emigrated from Punjab were from the Doaba region in the 60s and 70s! And also its true, and since my family originates from Doaba, I can truly say Doaba people are the worst at respecting turban in the Indian punjab regions! And if it helps, you can ridicule them for their lack of respect for turban I give my permission! Call it atheist communist, or just illiterate and uneducated, cos that's what I call it. The truth is, most of these turban hating families, and I say most or perhaps many, come from a background where their immediate ancestors, like parents or grandparents were uneducated or illiterate etc. I say we should lift their negativity towards turbaned males and put it back onto these loser families and make them look like they come from ignorant and uneducated backgrounds. Once we expose the losers they really are, maybe then we can instil cultural and dharmik values back into them as once again our brotherhood between each other is strengthened. Anyway, I don;t care if anyone is with me or not, as long as no one stands in my way, as I believe these losers don't have the brain capacities to defend themselves to what we can speak against them, and lol. I laugh yet me and some other posters marriage prospects are really lowly, but what does negativity solve, negativity is the reason we are here in the same place! Positivity will make us rise once again (By the way I hope I can change most of the losers that post on this forum). I won't rest until I make these families and girls feel disgusted about the way they hate the paghs!
  7. ok, but strangely no one is coming on this thread to write a response. I reckon as soon as there is a good response this thread shall be locked. Aren't I right? lol
  8. I was hoping that we make such a big shout about this that the anti-turban problem will become a minor issue. At the moment it is such a major issue that I don't know which other issue to compare it with? Turban is such a respectful thing to wear, and very culturally, it is seen very respectful in punjabi and jatt culture, to be protected with honour and even life. To disrespect turban is supposed to be seen as really bad in our culture!!! Well, some hindus actually respect turbans, some have a lot of respect for turbans. Some have great respect for Khalsa, others see khalsa as a warrior army but as either part of the hindu society, or allied with it. I am however seeing more positive turban roles in bollywood movies brought in with the increase in punjabi influence in them. I have seen some hindu punjabi girls liking sardars, I have been liked by hp girls, just don;t understand what's wrong with our own sikh girls liking turbans? We are taking this problem way way too lightly, you are so right. Gurdwaras are setting up matrimonials but not doing anything visible to gain any respect for sardars when it is soo obvious that the majority of sikh girls that use the services are anti-turban. We need to speak and do parchar in a way that shows turban as super respectful, and to show disrespect to turban as being a very shameful thing. If someone in India does it, then we can catch them there. Sometimes we must ask them, that do they feel ashamed of living and being born and bred on the land of the gurus and on the land where turban was of utmost importance? Also why do they find it difficult to wear turban on Guru's land when there are people in western countries wearing turbans with great respect? But that's the more polite questions, sometimes you have to talk to the people there in their own language, which is not politeness! ie just shock them lol
  9. Hmmm so no one is gonna make a sticky about the anti-turban thinking in western countries from fellow sikhs, and no one is worried about Singhs becoming a minority due to non-marriage? At least until this problem goes away in sikh community, perhaps another decade??
  10. I know these sikh girls chat utter rubbish, if they did the show now, I would have called in and said all these turban hating sikh girls are just reducing turban guys numbers and turban guys are finding it extremely difficult to find any decent girl. Uk sikh community shouldn't have really tolerated it when sikh kuris started drinking (I am too much of a jatt to care about the EQUALITY argument for drinking!) + smoking, making boyfriend partners (seriously please don't try and justify this, no boy from a good family wants a girl that has an ex partner), and dressing in disrespectful manner (just showing lack of sanskar really), BUT HATE and DISRESPECT against turban of sikhs just cannot be tolerated at all, especially when it comes from FELLOW SIKHS!!!! When someone tells someone off for doing these bezhti things publically, they are told they are JUDGING and should look at their own actions etc.. BULL I tell you, this is the kinda BULL that is ruining our community and has brought it to the level of disrespecting our turbans!!! If these people even had a little bit shame, just a little SHARAM, they would at least do these things in secret instead of ruining our community in public. These kuris are so shameless that they are publically against turbans, even in gurdwara matrimonials, don;t even make an effort to hide the fact they hate turban because they don;t feel ashamed of it at all, not even a little, not even in gurdwara. .....
  11. hmm will PTC be free-to-air? I think Harmandir Sahib Golden Remple broadcast should be free, and funded by all the charawa!!! I can't vote for PTC as we don;t have it yet, but PTC news is quite good on Music India Channel. Likewise, I don't have a subscription to Zee Punjabi.
  12. Hmmm off-topic, but why are your parents only looking for clean-shaven guy? I am turbanned handsome jatt sikh guy 27 years old, I can't find myself any nice jattis that respect turbans in general. I wouldn't commit the adharm of going against my parents and culture, so I am going to marry in my own tradition, but still perhaps you can give me advice?
  13. absolutely. cultural satkar is also part of dharmik thinking, contrary to what some people on this forum would say. Without sanskar and satkar, you start getting the kinda sikhs and amrit-dharis in the Gupt section!!!!! (you know, the ones with RELATIONS)
  14. He is under quality control, that spoils all the fun....
  15. lol are the gatka players not going to stand up for themselves in this thread?
  16. pyaaree sadh sangat jeeo, are you gonna let us down before this thread becomes closed down? Only the shastar vidiya akhara gave a lineage, but where are all of you true gatka warriors? Does no one on sikhsangat forum practise gatka??????????
  17. no, do u understand the concepts of pantheism and monism? its not polytheism and not even monotheism. Also understand the concepts of sarguna and nirguna roop.
  18. I have to tie my beard cos of these stupid sikh girls. I look much better with open beard, but I am doing this beard tying thing while I look for marriage. Once I get marriage, my beard tying days finish! Even the Singh uncle jees at gurdwara matrimonials at southall and hounslow say singh guys should tie their beards. pathetic, what nonsense is this. but this way I can open my beard whenever I feel like and also keep it tied. better than trimming, trimming persons cannot open their beards like true warriors grrr. I saw we make this thread a sticky. Who agrees. This is one of the biggest problems in uk sikh sangat, but we hardly chat about it, too concerned with less important matters!... I am not ready to forgive uk sikh girls!!!!!! This jatt will make them sorry for hating on our turbans! I will humiliate them, and then make sure that turban hating people become a minority in our sikh community!!!
  19. I don't care, boxing stances and moves are against khalsa style marital arts ie shastar vidiya....
  20. well if you guys aren't gonna follow caste, then why discriminate against someones religion? Maanas kee jaat sabhi ekho pacchanho .. anyone? LOL
  21. are the karas on the site practical? most people don't wear practical karas, they are way to small and light. what would guru ji say to that? Most common karas can't be practically used with pentra either!
