anybody heard of MASONS and their secret society. This is one issue where i feel everyone can be on same platform irrespective of their differences. We should come toghter to put a stop on such disrespect. What message are we giving to our youth and kids. See a sikh being dragged from hair by fellow sikhs and do nothing about it? That sure highlights the value and importance kes holds in sikhism. Guru Gobind Singh ji named the place where Amrit was initiated not as AmritGarh, but KesGarh. And kes are part of both 5 kakaars and kurehit. This shows its importance and value. And today fellow sikhs are pulling each others kes.....

They will be caught and hopefully punished one way or the other. WHO WILL CATCH AND PUNISH THEM? Makkar? Badal? Vedanti? RSS? We simply cant sit here and expect a miracle to happen. It is one of many signs for sikhs to wake up and take initiative in their hands. If we can go and protest outside indian embassies, why cant we demand answers form sikh leaders. Why cant we force them to take some action on beadbi of gurujis saroop? Everyone try to do their bit. Go in groups to ur local gurudawara and show ur displeasure to committee members over such act and request them to do something about it.

Those people are easily identifiable. Someone in Punjab needs to take this picture (POSTER) to akal thakt sahib and let them decide punishment for it. We've been complacent about such acts for long time. Get this picture posted at your local gurudwaras and ask them to write to Akal Thakt sahib to take action against it. Its higly unlikey something will be done, but atleast it will send a message that sikhs are awake and watching what sgpc goons are upto.

They had been allegedly involved in illegal abortions for the past many years. Residents of this town bordering Haryana, who were quite shocked, took out a march in the city to lodge protest against the anti-social activities of the quack couple. They also demanded that the couple should be given exemplary punishment. They also alleged that though health authorities were aware about illegal happenings that were taking place in the Sahib Hospital for the past many years, but no action was taken by them for the reasons best known to them. Dr Varinder Singh Mohi, Civil Surgeon, Patiala, who led the raiding team, said it was difficult to tell the exact number of female foetus and placentas recovered from a deep and narrow well, which had been turned into a graveyard for female foetus by the accused, as the remains of placentas and foetus were extremely decomposed. Unconfirmed reports said that their number could cross over hundred. Information gathered by TNS revealed that district health authorities had been trying to find out the exact number of female foetus, which had been dumped by the quack couple into the well, located in a vacant plot adjacent to their clinic, in the past many years after performing illegal abortions in their triple-storey clinic on the Patiala-Patran main road. Dr Mohi, while confirming the registration of a criminal case under MTP Act against the quack couple and their subsequent arrest, said that as per a statement by two woman workers of that clinic made before the raiding team, the husband-wife duo had carried out about 35 illegal abortions and subsequently dumped 35 female foetus in that deep well in the past three months. Not only this, acting swiftly on the situation, the district health authorities, with the help of district administration, also sealed an ultrasound centre located in Samana town, which was carrying out the pre-natal sex determination tests and subsequently sending pregnant women carrying females to Sahib clinic for illegal abortions. Some instruments, used for carrying out abortions, were also recovered from that centre. A case against the owner of the centre had been registered. Another team had been sent to another ultrasound centre of Dirba town of Sangrur district, which was also allegedly involved in the similar activities. Mr Rakesh Kumar Verma, Deputy Commissioner, who gave all help to the raiding team, said that the case against the quack couple was being made fool-proof so that it could be taken to logical end. Information revealed that one of the female workers, who was working in the hospital, spilled the beans after she developed some differences with the quack couple over payment of her salary. She disclosed everything to some prominent citizens, who then reported the matter to the district administration and health authorities. When a raid was conducted at the clinic, the raiding team came to know that a well located in the vacant plot situated adjacent to the clinic was being used as a dumping ground for the female foetus. Mr Munish Kumar, SDM, who coordinated the operation, said at first some poisonous gases were removed from the deep and narrow well. Then a trained man was sent inside the well. After about four to five hours, the man, who had gone inside the well, managed to bring some remains of placentas and foetus. Some glass jars, suspected to be containing some material connected with abortions, were also recovered. He added that the Civil Surgeon, Patiala, would be taking appropriate action in this regard. A woman worker of Sahib hospital identified as Pooja, while talking to TNS said that illegal abortions were being performed on married women only. She added that quack couple had been charging Rs 8,000 to Rs 15,000 per case from the persons concerned. Meanwhile, the remains of placentas and foetus, which had been dug from the well, had been sent to the pathology laboratory at Rajindra Medical College for histopathological examinations to know their exact status. Official figures revealed that so far the district health authorities had sealed about 12 ultrasound centres for their alleged involvement in conducting the sex determination test of foetus and five clinics, which were involved in carrying out illegal termination of pregnancy in the current year.

Do we think putting up signs will make ppl follow them. Almost every gurughar i've been (except india), ppl take off their shoes right outside the main hall or langar hall, even when they have seprate rooms for taking off their shoes. Is walking bare feet for couple of steps will kill them? Its pathetic to see ppl acting like that in huge numbers. There are big signs requesting not to take off their shoes outside darbar hall, but ppl hardly heed to it. I think the besy way would be for couple of youngsters to pick up all those joray and put them in right place. I guess it will be embarrasing enough for them to think it over before repeating it. It will atleast take couple of weeks to make sangat realise it. As for langar, babas in india tell others to cover up their head and ppl do listen. Its here in west that such things are happening. A lot of this has to do with unwilingness of gurudwara committee as well. They need to keep repeating over and over and anyone serving langar should point it out, no matter how nasty looks they get. Nothing can happen to sikhi. It will stay forever. Good and bad times come and go. This is bad phase for sikhism with so much corruption goign on. But there are plenty of hidden gursikhs and more will keep coming.

Everyone wants khalistan, but their definition for it is different. For some its mere a piece of land, for me personally its an ideology. Khalistan is any place in universe where gurujis khalsa lives and follows gurmat rehit. Calling todays punjab as khalistan would be akin to naming a nightclub with sikhi names. Look at the place. Can we find true khalsa there? any sant sipahi politician? Nobody walks the talk. sant jarnail singh did to show us path by sacrificing his life, but you will hardly come across any individual willing to do that. Best place to start is to create gursikhs like santji and his entourage. We hardly have a jeewab ourselves and claim to get big things. Foundation of khalistan was laid by shaheeds, it walls will not be made from drunk and corrupt punjabis.

There is no danger..... Indians have been exposed to all these chemicals in a lot of ways. The vegetables they eat is full of growth hormones and pesticides. The water used to clean them is from a polluted source. The vendor selling it has no way of preserving its freshness and keep away flies. What do we need sikh models for: 1. Do portray shaved beards. 2.That it is ok to disrespect khalsa's identity by wearing turbans into nightclubs. 3.To instill ego of looking good. 4.To burn in fire of 5 evils. We need SIKH models like: 1. Bhai Kanahiya 2.Bhagat Puran Singh 3.Nawab Kapur Singh Are there any? or is media portraying them? This sikh modelling is one of the countless schemes to eat away the sikh principles and make them foggy for future generations.

Gandhi and Nehru were politicians to core..... Gandhi entered freedom struggle because he was thrown out of a 1st class train compartment in south africa. None of them was ever touched by anyone, whereas they got others beat up by british officers. They wuld go sit in jail and have fun, much like our badals. Nehru was also said to have an affair with lord mountbatten's wife. These were characterless people, who exploited the movement to gain their popularity. On another note, What i heard was that NEHRU family's ancessetor was gangu bhramin. The muslims gave gangu a jagir in delhi near a nehar( river) and they got their last name NEHRU. ALso it is known fact that they were kashmiri pandits and thus wanted kashmir to be part of india when they didnt wanted to be. They created kashmir problem and they made sikhs suffer. So much for our guruji sacrificing for these coward kashmiri pandits.

Gandhi patriotism is evident from the fact that he joined the independence movement when he was thrown out of a first class train compartment in south africa. he was a practicing lawyer and took it as insult and threw away his suit, jumped into dhoti and became father of nation. Fighters like, shaheed udham singh and bhagat singh, came into the movement after seeing other ppls suffering. So you can well make of the character of person!

Even though it has been accepted by UNESCO as one of the bravery stories, It is still not taught in schools in India. You will hardly find a history book mentioning battle of saragari, but will tumble over libraries filled with gandhi's yatras.

Its disturbing to see more threads discussing manmat on this forum lately. Certain individuals think, sikhsangat is more for fun rather learning from others. They start off debates based on nothing and watch sangat quibble over it. Sangat should not play into hands of such ppl. It was surprising to see the way some individuals changed their views once confronted by sangat. I request Mods to filter out threads based on pure manmat.

Just got this in an email. Members of youth BJP in amritsar, beating up punjab police personell. Its not that they are doing bad thing, but it shows the power and freedom they enjoy in punjab. Anyone from india has more update on this?

I've l ived in gurdaspur and amritsar for quite some time. It is intresting to see that most of border cities have influential mahajans or other hindu trader castes. After partition, hindus from pakistan settled in these cities and now hold most of govt. positions. Most of these families have direct link with families in delhi. And these ppl are supporters of RSS. Even now i've seen banners in amritsar city, speaking against muslims and signed by rss or shiv sena. these ppl are having blast of time spreading their tentacles as most of sikhs are coming out and whatsoever are left in villages are mostly illiterate. since these are border cities, so no development is going and ppl are poor and easy prey for rss. Also the youth here has been pushed into drugs for lack of employment and their laziness to work in fields. But one thing is for sure... RSS has more strong hold in amritsar, pathankot area then other parts of punjab. The hindu punjabi families support their cause and they usually hold influential positions. Only handful of gursikhs have voice of their own. Badal and likes of him have subdued everyone and joind hands with rss. Someone like sant jarnail singh can liberate punjab from these goons.

Are sikhs in punjab different than elsewhere? If a thread says "sikhs in punjab", does that mean nothing else can be mentioned? I've been born and raised in punjab, but now living in US, what will you term me as? dont we have enough divisions based on caste and jathebandis that we ant one more based on country...... Well by doing so, we are playing in hands of ppl who want to create more divisions.

I personally feel that after 86 sarbat khalsa, raw or goi plaaned on uprooting sikhism from inside. thts when rss was created and they planted ppl in major sikh organisation and bought some prominenet figures to create divisions in panth. with the loss of great leaders like santji and bahi amrik singh, new anti panthic leaders came to fore. And numerous police cats. Even now no one knows how many of these moles are still in sikh organisations, calling themselves sikhs and dividing panth. Only guruji can bless us.
