What solution do you suggest? I think realistically, people will never be okay with wearing kirpans publicly. Its not a "new rule". Older generations have always wore their kirpans underneath their clothing. It's not IDEAL, but its REALISTIC.

Pretty sure this is not the right attitude to have. If it was up to you, we'd probably not wear kirpans at all in a few years. If you simply sit back and let this happen, it will never stop. Slowly, they will start banning them everywhere because there's no-one challenging it. How is it not a big issue? Your panj kakaar are meant to be part of your roop. They're not supposed to be parted from your body; not something that can be compromised. If we start choosing where to wear and not wear them, they will lose their significance. To avoid trouble, the kirpan should be kept gupt in public places.
