This time with Keshdhari's who introduced, santhia. ithaas classes and gatka over the past 2 years and mainly monay on the other side (who allegedly did the opposite or were not interested). Hopefully I'm not talking out of turn here when I call them travellers or gypsies but some of these guys are hard as nails. They commonly settle scores internally with bare knuckle fights and they train their children to fight early on in the same way so they become hardened to face and body punches. A person trained in martial arts where full on contact is watered down in a fight against a gypsy will be a one way street to A&E.

Sikhi have always had leaders/commanders post 1708 - Baba Banda Singh, Baba Deep Singh, Hari Singh Nalwa, Maharajah Ranjit Singh Ji and so forth. The leader we need to pull this sleeping quom from its slumber and lead us to Khalsa Raj will for sure be sent and the Nishan Sahib will fly over the Red Fort once again and on the International stage. I do not believe it will be just within India but we have to start somewhere

The importance of good Sadh Sangat should not be downplayed as per Sukhmani Sahib and ਬਿਨੁ ਭਾਗਾ ਸਤਸੰਗੁ ਨ ਲਭੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਭਰੀਜੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ Without good fortune, the Sat Sangat is not found; without this Sangat, people are stained with filth and pollution. ||3|| But there is no doubt we are judged on our own actions and many Mahapurash have reached great heights doing bhagti on their own. ਦਦੈ ਦੋਸੁ ਨ ਦੇਊ ਕਿਸੈ ਦੋਸੁ ਕਰੰਮਾ ਆਪਣਿਆ ॥ Do not blame anyone else; blame instead your own actions. ਜੋ ਮੈ ਕੀਆ ਸੋ ਮੈ ਪਾਇਆ ਦੋਸੁ ਨ ਦੀਜੈ ਅਵਰ ਜਨਾ ॥੨੧॥ Whatever I did, for that I have suffered; I do not blame anyone else. ||21||

Obviously the buildings are not dysfunctional. The power hungry & kursi loving committees are responsible for running them like businesses and misuse of Sangats money is rife. The last thing on their minds is education Sikhi or worldly or with providing sports facilities.

Relative to what's written in the article the large majority of Gurdwarey are dysfunctional. ape beej ape he kao, good Sangat help massively but in the end we are judged alone.

Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji first and foremost and also Panj Piyare can collectively lead. Now for what you're asking, I'd say we do not have a single leader or voice that everyone will follow due to the egoistic nature of the Jathebandhies who can't agree on trivial issues and sit together for discussion without turbans flying and swords drawn. Even during Sant Jarnail Singh's time some factions (we all know who they are) split from them but they had overall majority support so remained a respected figurehead. Until we have someone on that level that everyone will stand behind and support come what may, whoever is chosen is unlikely to be respected from all parties. The youth are focussing more on spokespersons for Sikh issues rather than developing leaders and we have many organisations that perform work at an individual rather than collective front. So, we have no one body or person as a leader either at a political or religious level.

Healthy discussions are great, we learn from other posters even if our views differ and providing we don't hold grudges afterwards and can still be civil with the person holding opposing views, they should be allowed. Admittedly, I let my ego get the better of me recently and in future need to hold back even if someone is riling me.

Subaig Singh was a good fighter, educated and had a good build and won a few fights, *edit* don't know if he still fights..

This is true, but what I will say is that mentality and strength of ethnic groups is obviously based on ancestral genetics, how they are brought up and the type of work they do. There is no denying that this was a contributing factor to their mindset in Wars, this included the Non Sikhs as well!
