  1. Better to see the truth from all angles.
  2. Now I have the understanding you don't despise all of them, and that your dislike I hope stems from 'all' groups who stir their caste agendas, no need to comment further. Oh and one more thing, nothing wrong with simple.
  3. It's your wedding, so assuming your partner is also Amritdhari you should explain your thoughts to parents on both sides that a reception where filthy songs are played, women and men unashamedly dance with each other and where alcohol served is not in keeping with Gurmat. Relatives who pressure the families will survive another day without getting plastered and making fools of themselves and might even learn something about an Amritdhari wedding in the process. As an alternative to the reception. I would recommend that after the Anand Karaj invite Kavi's to sing dharmic geets. Should you reside in the UK, then Jago Vale Jatha are brilliant!
  4. I'm simple yes. Are you intolerant towards all jatts from past and present?
  5. I believe it was a Prince who hunted the deer and offered it to Guru Sahib. Some people (not saying who) believe this became Kheer when Guru Sahib was about to eat the offering, I don't agree. Whether Guru Sahib consumed the flesh I do not know, but I do not believe it turned into rice pudding.
  6. not read them for accuracy yet, but looks like good seva.
  7. These points should be directed at Kejriwal or B Mann on TV to see how they respond.
  8. Must have been a mismatch in timing as it was on my screen when I was typing.
  9. Nothing wrong with Jatts or any other caste for that matter. Ones that put down one caste over another are no better than those that claim superiority!
  10. Badal and Akalis should not be used in the same sentence, 'chands' is more fitting. Any Taksalis backing Dhumma are in fact worse than Badal, as in theory they should be Panthic. Badal is a known kanjar and long term defined enemy of the Sikhs. If Dhumma's supporters side with him, they will go down in history with blackened faces in Lok and Parlok.
  11. Shabad Hazare Patshahi Dasvi (Re Man Eh Bidh Jog Kamavo) love Principal Karirs voice. http://www.sikhroots.com/audio/Albums/Shabad%20Hazare%20Patshahi%2010/Re%20Man%20Aeh%20Bidh%20Jog%20Kamao%20%28Ramkali%29.mp3
  12. Small Gatra and min 6 inch kirpan, don't see what's complex about it? Like someone else mentioned been wearing like this for yonks at work under my shirt, no need to tuck in trousers, would be rather uncomfortable when sitting down.
  13. Moving interview with Chardhikala Bibi Ji who gives a brief insight into the Kharkoo lehar of which she was an active member and how she has dedicated her life to looking after the children of Shaheed Singhs after her time in prison.
  14. One Jatha in particular is fond of going pesh at the drop of a hat. Sikhi is a logical path, no need to get stuck in dubidha or bharam over small issues. Thinking like this all the time would drive people crazy!!
  15. The Kurehits are clearly noted in the Rehat Maryada, this is not one of them.
  16. Thousands of Police officers have stopped peacefully marching Sikh Parcharaks and Sangat from reaching the Chief Ministers residence at Chandigarh. Parcharaks and Sangat have now sat down on the road. Dhindsa and Chandumajra held meeting with Sikh Preachers Mohali, October 30, 2015 : FM Parminder Dhindsa and Prem Singh Chandumajra reached Mohali where Sikh Protesters are staging Dharna after their March towards CM Badal’s residence stopped by Police. Thousands of Police officers have stopped peacefully marching Sikh Parcharaks and Sangat from reaching the Chief Ministers residence at Chandigarh. Parcharaks and Sangat have now sat down on the road. The parcharaks have 3 demands: 1) Release of Rupinder Singh and Jaswinder Singh 2) Arrest of police officers who opened fired on Sikhs in Kotakpura 3) Arrest of actual culprits of Baragari Sacrilege Sikh Parcharaks are preparing bottles of blood to be submitted to the government. - this is a stroke of genius, offering blood in advance of being shot or murdered.
  17. Where are the Sant Samaj, have their hands been tied with the choorian presented by Gurpreet Singh? Programme being shown on Sikh Channel now.
  18. Sikh designer in UK Sculpts Historic Figurines By Bhagwant Singh - September 13, 2015 Taranjit Singh – UK based digital designerMidlands, UK—Taranjit Singh, a digital designer based in the UK has an impressive portfolio of Sikh related digital designs. His latest endeavour however is worth particular attention as he produces impressive figurines of the famous Bhai Garja Singh, companion of Bhai Bota Singh, hailing from the 18th century. Taranjit Singh creates an inspirational hero from Sikh history, Bhai Garja SinghA successful kickstarter campaign has seen the pledged goal of £11500 being surpassed in but a few days. The 3d prints of the small statues are described by Taran Singh as follows, “The sculpture will be 12 inches tall and will be cold cast in resin bronze. There will also be a real bronze version which will be limited to 10 casts only. I have researched and carefully crafted each and every component in 3D. “Sikh history and art are my passion and I have always been inspired by stories about the brave Sikh warriors who rose to forge their own Sikh empire in Punjab during the 1700’s. I wanted to create something that would remind people of their bravery and celebrate their inspirational sacrifice. This is my way of sharing their story with the next generation.” Bhai Garja Singh by Taranjit Singh UKBota Singh and Garja Singh are famed for their single handed challenge to the oppressive ruling regime of the time. Keeping their swords in their sheaths and arming themselves with only staffs, they fought off the cavalry and infantry of a 100 man contingent. They eventually succumbed to their injuries and laid down their lives, but not before propping their broken-boned bodies against each other, back to back, to spend their last few breaths dealing a few more deathly blows to the shocked soldiers who had come to ‘arrest’ them.
  19. These are all GOI sympathisers so unsurprising. Even Malhi is excited about seeing Modi F*S!
  20. I was present. If the Singh's did not block the road this would never have made the news. It would have been the same as the 20+ other protests that have taken place in previous years that pass peacefully when no one took a jot of notice. This of course plays perfectly into the hands of GOI and UK government. From where I was standing the minor trouble started when the Singh's were being physically man handled, when the police tried to force them off the road onto the pavement (admittedly they asked several times to no avail) and after the Singh above was arrested. This is when 'plastic' water bottles started being hurled at the police, raised voices and pushing and shoving ensued. The report is misleading, there were no more than 50 odd Singh's opposite India House (Waldorf side) that were being carefully monitored by the Police. The police presence far outweighed what was required during a peaceful protest. Heck they even had a helicopter circling, riot vans, HMP, it was overkill to say the least.
  21. Badal only applies senile folk, else they would not do his dirty work.
