As for the Sikh Dharma, not mentioned anywhere. What are Sikh Views on Neanderthals? Nothing. Not mentioned anywhere within the Sikh Dharma. As for science, Neanderthals were part of the evolutionary line of species. And did co-exist at same time as Human beings. Do Sikhs beleive in Evolution? If so, what is the reason for the huge time gap for humans to arrive since the Earth's Inception. Again, not mentioned anything regarding the Sikh Dharma. This huge time gap for Humans, can you provide more detail about this time gap. The Evolution period from our ape ancestors to Human species, there’s billions of years of evolution. It did’nt just happen in 100’s or even 1000’s of years. Just think about in this way. The earth is 4.5 billion years old and if you transfer that time in a 24 hour clock, our time as human species, is less than a millisecond.

Radha Swami - Meaning, Radha in Sanatan mythology means great power and swami means teacher. So, getting to the point means teachers of great power, translated word for word. As for Sikhs not liking them, that's incorrect. Radha Swami's are respected as any other sect within the Sikh dharma. As for Sri Laadi Shah, seems to have similarities with the Sufis and may have links with writings of Waris Shah. Again your questions regrding SIkhs not liking them, you have been misinformed. I disagree, The SIkh religion in its organised state may belong to Akal Thakat. The Dharam (the knowledge) does not belong to anyone. If the 3ho Sikhs are not abiding by rules of Akal Thakat, then its simple, they will split and create their own label. For 3ho Sikhs, its not about the label. The yoga practice and the rituals are the basics to their lifestyle. If Akal Thakat disagrees with them, do you really think they will change their ways? I don't think so. This cult just hurts Sikhs overal How are they hurting Sikhs overall? I guarantee many mahapurakhs would call these people blind fools..... Again, do you really think, they give any thoughts on Mahapurakhs based in India? The knowledge from the Gurus don't belong to just the Sikhs, it belongs to the universe, be it may Christians, Hindus, Muslims, Devil worshippers, Atheists. Akal Thakat is not in control of this.

My friend, I use the term "Sikh dharma", if I wanted to define it as a religion, then I would have said "SIkh religion". Sikh Dharam, to me, has no rehit or any religious body controlling the dharam. I have said in my previous post, If you want to follow these religious bodies and you need their wisdom then please do so. But, don't expect everyone to follow.

3ho Sikhs have done huge amount to raise awareness of the Sikh faith in the western world. If Sikhs from an Indian back ground don’t agree with them. Well, it’s tough. I have previously posted my opinions on the subject before and these opinions have not changed. The 3ho Sikhs have donated huge amount in Amritsar, for the grace of God they have even taken the influences of the Sikh dharma to South America. Outlook of 3ho Sikhs on this forum is portrayed in such a negative light, do they really give any thought to, what other main stream Sikhs think of them? No. They will continue in their ways because that’s who these people are. If main stream Sikhs from an Indian origin don’t agree, they will establish their own sect and carry on. We have seen this in India and we will also see this around the world. Sikhs dharma does not belong to people of Indian origin. Sikh dharma does not belong to SGPC, Akaal Thakat or any other religious body. If you want abide by Sikh dharma by following these bodies then this is your choice. Don't think everyone will follow in the same direction.

Personally, having non cut hair in the Sikh faith is on the increase. Living in Punjab in the early 80's, cutting hair was becoming an issue but I feel that trend is now decreasing. Having non cut hair in the SIkh faith is not likely to improve the faith but that is a different issue.

So, If SIkhs don't do the killing then its justified. How is that justified? Let someone else do the dirty work on your behalf and then reap the rewards. To the original poster, if you need to work and pay the bills then this what you have to do. In our current climate, It very difficult to find jobs. My grandfather was an Amritdhari and worked at our local butchers because that was the only job he could find at the time.

I disagree, the western world have spent much time and effort researching mental heath. The issue we have is, most people will deal with mental health problems by boxing them up. But we all know, problems this can cause, majority of all health problems are related to depression or stress. So, is it not correct to tackle these health problems by finding the root cause? Hence, tackle the mental health problems before they become physical.

SINGH4PEACE is right for stating the following "In this democratic world, let them do what they are doing. If these people are converting on their own will then I see nothing wrong." The problem is recognising the underline issue why people are converting to different religion. Do they truly find peace and get treated as equals? India is a vast country with many different cultures, languages and as communities move from one state to another, its common trait in human-beings to find similarities with your new neighbours. From personal observation of India that is the reason why India has flourished and become a multicultural state. The problems come, when these similarities are not so common and the only way to achieve this is to either adapt & evolve or accept these differences and try to get on. But sometimes the only solution is to change your current outlook accept the majority. This was never the case in historical India (not India as a country but as a land mass), many cultures were accepted as part of the big picture but the problems seem to have occurred in mid 20th century, where religious identity became the common trait. Well, it made things simple, you followed the same religion as the masses and automatically you are accepted by the masses. Why is Christian conversion on the rise? They are not part of the masses; the cultural similarities are contradictory from the locals they are converting. So, why are these people converting? Maybe that is the answer, the differences, something new. Christian church is accepting the people for who they are, no caste, everyone is treated as equal. Where Hinduism, caste system plays a crucial role in the Indian society and the low caste will always be treated like an animal, change Christianity brings, the low cast locals are looking for. For once, the low caste can break out of this vicious culture of caste and stop discrimination against them. Probably, many are thinking on this forum, why not Sikh dharm, we don’t believe in the caste system, we treat everyone as equals. Do Sikhs really practise what they preach? We are seeing a common occurrence of many low caste Sikhs breaking away from all Sikh affiliation and creating their own Temples under the banner of Baghat Ravi Das and other Saints. This is on the increase in India and the west. Many on this forum have stated, we need to push the knowledge of Sikh Dharm to these people and we need to fund these activities but, will it have any outcome? Personally, I don’t think so, it’s not the lack of knowledge these people are deprived off, it’s the feeling of acceptance and being treated as equals. Even now, the Sikh faith is littered with religious leaders who are from Jaat caste and they still continue to push this during the elections. May not be intentionally but it’s the way the Indian society have been raised by the previous generations, the caste system is the core off all Indian person. Sikh faith may not believe in the caste system but do majority of Sikh people believe in it? The answer is YES.

Even if the man was a fraudster, he made his millions. Should we blame him or the people who are prepared to follow him. Everyone has a choice.

I apologise, I don't understand your question, do you mean, "You cannot deny the caste system is almost a non -factor in the developed areas?" If this is your questions, I would deny this because it's untrue. Caste system is still followed by the developed areas. So my question, this development you mention, what is this development? Do you mean better technologies, more money, improved standard of living?

Development of what? The caste system was in existence before the British Raj, before the Mughul era and Indians lived within this system. How is this "development" you mention going to change this?

The caste system is the fundamental thought process of all Indians, we people let them? Which people are you talking about, the high caste because I don't think the low caste have any say. How can you change the entire nations thought process, its been part of their development for 1000's of years. How can this change happen? The southern part of India may change, southern Indians have a complete different mind set to the northerns. But these winds of change you speak about have been blowing for the last 30 years in India. India has continued to deteriorate, the only changes you will see are the Independence of the southern states from North India.

India would have done nothing about this incident if the world leaders didn't get involved. Indian PM, just sat back and thought this will pass over like all the other crap, which goes on in India. Personally, I think these arrests were made to show the world how quickly India can turn things around. Did they arrest the right people? Well, that's something we need to debate about and you may get the odd conspiracy theories. India will never change as a country, a culture that has never evolved. The caste system still controls the masses and influences the political stance of each political decision.
