Basic training like boxing sparing, sparing helps. If you don't have a set of moves but are mentally fast taking on someone with a great technical moveset who is slow you could take them out, since you can see their moves before hand. You can probably even instinctively come up with counters if you are fast enough. But refining the skills all takes practice. So my question, let me simplify it for you. Are you an expert of any martial art?

Reading through the posts people have mentioned Muslim historians detailing the accounts but how accurate are these accounts, is this a metaphor or do we need to take it literally. There are images and accounts of Saladin (during crusades) fighting with his head decapitated. Was Saladin a Saint? Or is it a Metaphor, to mean something else.

The martial art is not for criticism here. Regarding the martial art, Its very good and its has also been credited by many masters of different martial arts. He has appeared in martial arts magazines and even on discovery channel documentaries explaining the history of a Nihung warrior. You cannot say the martial art is fake and made up. If it is then he is one intelligent person. To create an art with so many different techniques and the philosophy supporting each technique. End of the day, people on this forum will never understand the complexity of the art and the determination that is required. As mentioned in the earlier posts there are teachers in India teaching this art, how genuine is this claim I don't know.

100% agree with what you are questioning. The conclusion we have is, Shastar Vidya Niddar Singh is teaching has value. Other martial artists, of high grade have authenticated this art as great value. No one has slated him regrading his style and technique. The problem with main stream SIkhs are they do not agree with his philosophy, which I can understand. Niddar Singh has made it clear to all main stream Sikhs, if you are not interested in learning the art then he will teach someone who is interested and that seems to be true. The people who are learning of him have been attending his classes and learning a great fighting style. I have met many of his students, they all seem like great guys and girls. Personally I see Niddar Singh as a teacher with a great martial art to teach. If you want to learn, then peruse the path, if not then just let him be.

I've been reading your posts and you keep banging your head with this single statement regarding Homosexuality is same as Paedophilia. How is this identical? Homosexuality is a relationship between two consenting adults of the same sex. Paedophilia - Sex with a person, who is under the age of consent. How is this the same? If homosexuals are not accepted within the SIkh faith, then it's natural for a person to find a different faith to reach their goal. It's not like Sikh faith is any different to any other religion out there, they are all same.

People on this forum need to look in their own cultures first before ridiculing others. I know of countless cases in villages of Punjab (India), where girls as young as 14 have been married off without their consent, so arranged marriages. Out of all the great empires out there, it was not one of the greatest empires in the world. In the Asian subcontinent, Yes. British was way ahead, French, Spanish and the Dutch were just behind the British. The issue we have is Punjab empire under Maharaja Ranjit Singh could not be sustained after his death.
