er i think a few people are getting confused with bhang and sukhnidaan. bhang contains poppy seeds and opuim. the sukhnidaan which was the prashad given by Guru Gobind Singh Ji does not contain drugs. it contains 5 unprocessed natural cannabis leaves. unfortunately due to media on tv and school, as soon as cannabis is mentioned, we automatically think that anyone aaaociated with cannabis is a drug addict. majority of the medication that you would take for even a simple headache or flu contains extracts from the same plants of cannabis. and to make matters worse, this medication has been processed and refined to be much stronger. and because of that we see warning labels of "may feel drowsy after dosage". this means that you may not be in your own complete "hosh". the sukhnidaan on the other hand contains only 5 unprocessed natural cannabis leaves which have only been ground up. they pose no threat to the mind or body in any way. it can be given to a small baby or an elderly person without ramifications. this was given as prashad to the singhs to aid in war times and sickness to help heal the body so that the warriors could fight on without to much pain whilst staying in their own minds. but unfortunately now 5 leaves have turned into 5 hand fulls and the sukhnidaan is mixed in with alcohol and THIS will destroy you spiritually and is against sikhi.

not all maryada has been written down. this is the maryada that we nihang singh hav been carrying on at hazoor sahib ji since the time of Guru Ji. shastar vidiya jhatka maryada has been carried out from the times of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. this training has been going on for a long time. unfortunately now people have become so westernised that they question everything in sikhi. see for you sikhi is a relisiog where seeing is believing. for nihangs sikhi is a way of life, a spirtuality where believing is seeing. this training maryada ispuratan. giani giaan singh i nirmala wrote in twareek guru khalsa that the history and existance of shastar vidiya will be forgotten and debated against. and he was right. many great gursikhs have followed this maryada and preached it and taught it. expand your mind. "sikhi is a relisiog" was supposed to be sikhi is a religion

ok now. for all of you that dont know the history maryada about jhatka - im going to educate you. IT IS NOT HINDU MARYADA. in training for war whislt practising shastar vidiya, the higher you skill gets, the easer and quiker your killing gets. jhat means quick, and ka means to kill. jhatka - quick kill. now, it is easy to understand that you cannot practise jhatka in a training akhara, otherwise you'll end up killing your training partner. so the nihangs would practise jhatka on bakre. in our nihang maryada, it is believed that evry bakra that is killed through jhatka is reborn as a nihang warrior. this is providing the fact that the bakra is killed with 100% mentallity that it is being killed in seva of the panth. if when the head is severed, the body shakes - it was done wrong. so the singhs would have to practice on the bakra and give it mukti from this joon to become a nihang singh in its next joon. And the tilak thing is that Shastar are only to be used to take blood. Otherwise they will take blood where and when they want to. Because Shastar are not just weapons, they are the form of Waheguru Ji. As written in Sri Sarbloh Granth Sahib Ji; ‘Mahakaal jagdees hai sarbloh avtar’. Mahakaal is the creator of the universe, and his form is of sarbloh – Shastar. So they put the blood on the Shastar out of respect and maryada as the Shastar are there to take blood. As is the maryada that you don’t unsheathe your sri sahib for no reason. You only take it out when you have to take someones life. And when you do, you do it with jhatka – one strike kill. If you don’t take it out for that purpose, then the maryada is to slit your thumb slightly so that blood drops, wipe the blade then do your namaskar to the kirpan and put it back into the scabbard.

The udasis were started by baba sri chand ji under the hukam of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Baba sri chand ji went to learn and master yoga, which he did by the age of 16. the udasi form of yoga takes 100 years to master but baba ji mastered it in only 16 years. At this point, udasis were considered part of sikhi. Baba sri chand ji also gave the seat of Raj Yog to Guru Raam Daas Ji. This is the highest seat of yoga from the 6 schools of yoga. The only person before Guru Ji to receive the position of Raj Yog was krishan (Vishnu avtar) in duapar yug. (Take not that this Raj Yog is does not give any relation between Guru Ji and krishan avtar. Yoga is a spiritual form). At this time udasis would not be as they are today – smearing themselves with ash, begging on the river banks of hindu rivers, bearing the marks of vishnu or shiva on their foreheads. But they did not keep their hair. At the time of Akaali Nihang Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Guru Ji called upon the udasis to help in a war against the invading afgan army. The udasis agreed to help Guru Ji in battle, but a short while before the war, the udasis ran away out of fear. Guru Ji said that if they had turned their back on HIM, HE would turn his back on them. One of the udasis remained and went to Guru Ji and begged that He not remove them from the panth of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, or else they will wither and die without the Guru. The udasi said that he will fight on behalf of all udasis on Guru Ji’s side. Guru Ji accepted this and taught the udasi ONE block with a shield and ONE attack with a sword. Needless to say in battle, the udasi, with the kirpa of Guru Ji, caused a lot of damage to the afgan army. And it was because of this single udasi (who’s name I cant remember – sorry) that the udasis remained part of sikhi. But as time went on, with the oppression from the hindus, udasis found it easier to turn more hindu-like. They now cut their hair, beg, smear ash over their bodies and bear the hindu signs on their foreheads. Hope that this helps with info on udasis. Fateh

yes because nidar singh nihang needed a prescription from the doctor to go to the pharmacy and buy some jathedari!!! i have seen and read the letter with my own eyes. signed by santa singh. wheather or not people believe in the letter, whether or not nidar singh nihang decides to openly act or promote the fact that he has been given the jathedari of buddha dal uk does not matter. what does matter is that the letter, singed by santa singh CLEARLY states that nidar singh nihang is the jathedar of buddha dal uk.

jarnail singh ji id dead. his saskar took place infront of sri Takht Sri Akaal Boonga Sahib. giani thakur singh ji, at the time of his death admitted that he had lied and said that jarnail singh is actually dead. even his family admit he is dead.

to be a sikh it means to learn and practice shaastar vidiya - knowledge of scriptures and bani, and to learn and practice shastar vidiya - the knowledge of our sikh martial art. this is why we have always had buddha dal - the warriors, and damdami taksal - the nirmale.
