  1. benti to all saadh sangat ji, please come. we're more than happy to fund any transport from birmingham and nearby for sangat coming in groups/car sharing etc ji!
  2. waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh. personally my belief which may be wrong is that its not about who stoop up 5 men or 5 women.. its two things any panj pyare have to represent the original panj pyare sahibaan in body as well as jeevan.. just as a singh saab je with a disability an amputation, blindness etc cant do seva in panj because the panj pyare have to be complete in body in order to be worthy of representing the panj pyare in body. remember we say its just about wats inside.. like a bibi can be more chardi kala and khalas then a singh and thats soo soo sooo true.. but maharaj does pay attention to the external for example bana and we all know bibia and singhs are different externally. secondly its not about the original panj but if your saying its because bibia didnt get educated or whatever the thats an insult to bibia because there were many brahmgiani bibia at the time of mahraj who neever stood for seva in panj.. ike mata gujri ji mata sahib kaur mai bhag kaur ji and many others ji sant jarnail singh too opposes it.
  3. happy birthdaay paaji hope maharaj keeps you for ever in chardi kala
  4. its on sunday ji.. yeah i'll try ask someone to do that seva if at all possible
  5. noo but i have it as a vcr video tape ji
  6. right paaji with the dvd... i know nothing of the tarmala lot except its a bit weird and he runs a brahmgyan course.. please may i see the video as ajit singh is like friends with my family who lives in swindon and ive been asked to go to their gurdwara many time and want too just too see whats going on. in fact i was going to see ajit singh on the bank holiday monday but got caught up in something else. my mum and bhuaji went to that gurdwara in swindon in early days... they described that singhs were doing what seemed to be swaaas swaas simran but like two of them went like crazyish (with respect in case they are actually having a spiritual experience) and the giani leading the simran was liike these singhs are having darshan of maharaj at sachkhand.
  7. yeaah penji its fine according to me .. just do ardas and just do mool mantar jaap and/or shabads usually recited before taking hukumnama works for me ji!

  10. pjs veerji i am not arguing with you ji!! but you know the bani you quoted well ages ago i heard maskeen jis katha on it. it doesnt promote or like give a reason to see homosexuality as being normal infact quite the opposite The female is in the male, and the male is in the female. Understand this, O God-realized being! (Mahalla 1, Ang 879, Dhan SGGS Ji) it means in each of us there is a polarity a masculine side and a female side.. just like a right and left side physically. thats why we sit by gender in the guru ghar to balance out our gender polarities its not just a cultural segregation thing i think. and basically maskeen ji was saying thet the male side in us complete (if were male) but the female side is not so we need to complete that so we are naturally attracted to the female and vice versa for bibia thats what theres is to "boojo brahm gyani" as like boojo doesnt neccesarily mean undertsand.. it could be like paheli nu boojna.. like solving a riddle. mahraj gave this bani as a riddle for the brahmgyanis (maybe not brahmgyani as in sukhmani sahib) but those with knowledge of waheguru ji and sikhi to interpret it forr moorakhs like me. i maybe completely wrong ji bhul chuk maaf
  11. i genuinely believe he is wrong and proably did say it. i just want some to have proof in order to prove this to others
  12. aww penji thats awsome ... that darshan at 10 years awww wow!! beofre my birth my mum went to have darshan of babaji as she could not conceive and babaji assured them that if they kept faith and did paath a child will come.. and lets just say (cant really say it on a public forum) my birth wasnt all that normal. i never had darshan of babaji wish i did but i think i owe a lot to them
  13. waaah thanks so much for sharing this penji.. did you have darshan of them?
  14. no ive has santhia ji, do seva in 5 akand paathees. that will be fine i am from uk... i'll try get hold of a pthi sahib ji but i just realized all these banis are in my sunder gutka so i'm ready to go
  15. may amrit sanchars,? we have a bibi ji in bristol who is an abhilakhee?
  16. argh! whats the correct banis for panj granthi sahib ji
  17. thankyou ji that makes sense.. panj granthi sahib ji it is
  18. Waheguru ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh I know its probably bad to ask and depends on your reading speed and fluency. Like the average time it takes to read out sukhmani sahib loudly to sangat is just under 1.5 hours i think. How long would it take to read the following pothi sahibs? Panj Granthi Sahib Pothi Das Granthi Sahib ji poth
  19. sorry to interrupt khalistanconsensus paaji/penji.. as humgareeb ji said if hes eating meat let alone drinking at a weeding then surely he is not a sikh. i agree we need to put forward gursikhs in their businesses/elections etc but not pakhandis who use religion as a means to get votel like the badals in india .. even if they are in pooran gursikh saroop they are sheep in lionskins
  20. paaaji if we can do one million chaupai sahibs then mool mantar jap will be to easy i think! maybe we should try to get a personal target for everyone.. and when one reaches it they register... and we can try to get 1 million sikhs out of the 27 million there are there might be an issue though with people disagreeing on how long mool mantar is and where it finishes so there needs to be different numbers for the two variations so we don't offend anyone! but saying that the chaupai sahib paath went ahead with the kirpa kari jag mata chaupai, arhil, other chaupai and savaya + dohra. so we could just do it with the long one dont know just a passing thought! and we can have motivatiors from all cities and aras enouragin sangat getting them to carry on!
  21. As bloom veerji would say.. in my humble opinion, If one has Prakash of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at his home, why is it still important to go to the Gurdwara Sahib? Because the value of sangat is stressed highly in guru granth sahib and the most effective way to do sangat of gurmukhs is to go to the gurdwara sahib. What is the significance of bowing before Sahib Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj? Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji is our living guru jagadi jot of dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji maharaj, bowing is a sign of surrendering in the feet of guru ji. and also a sign of respect, its just like bowing to all guru jis. What is the correct way of bowing before Sahib Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji? Im not sure but bowing is matha tek which most people do. but the most respective way is dandauth bandana (from the shabad dandauth bandana anik baar sarb kala samrath..) that is what guru gobind singh ji maharaj did to sri guru granth sahib ji when they bestowed maharaj the gurta-gaddi Why is Langar important? Langar brings pyaar in a community. Eating togeher without discrimination is a sign of sikhs love for everyone. it removes all barries of sex, sexuality, caste, race, creed, paapi puni whatever! What is the correct way of doing Langar Sewa? This is tricky, its important to keep utmost sucham taking care of bibek. ideally langar should be prepared by amritdharees who know the maryada (like Chehra Sajona ..tying your face to prevent germs going into the langar) in sarbloh vessels and served in sarbloh too. Rember its important that degh is made even more carefully.. i cant remember which mahapursh but they used to make atta from a chakki everyday because they truly believed the langar that is taken for bhog should be as fresh and as clean as possible. they would say the ten gurus our going to eait it so we should make it with utmost sucham, prem and whilst doing paath or simran. How should one perform Ardass? From the heart... From ik oankar Sri Waheguru ji ki Fateh Sri Bhagauti ji sahai to nanak nam chardi kala tere bhane sarbat da bhala is the standardized ardas but you should say the astpadi from sukhmani sahib before tu takhur tum peh ardas and the dohra after followed by a loud jaikara... Sat Sri Akaaaaaaaaaalllluh In Ardas, what should one ask Guru Ji for? Naam Dan .. Vin tudh hor je mangana sir dukhaa ke dukh de naam santokhiya utre man ki bhuk... jachak mange daan de pyariya, devanhar datar me nit chitariya nikhut na jaee mool athul bhandaria nank shabad apar jin sab kich sariya thank waheguru ji for everything they have given us ask for chardikala of khalsa ji ask for forgiveness for our sins and mistakes and there charna di preeti for sangat of gurmukhs and to stay away from the sakats and nindaks. for gursikhi and amrit di daat to everyone Should we bow before Mahapurakhs? What is the view of Gurmat on this? i'm not going to comment...all i'll say is its really manmat to bow infront of anyone else but granth sahib in gurujis darbar or where there parkash is... outside is upto you reallly ... gurfateh is enough but personally i dont do it but i dont see the harm you see? like i dont think its bad ... but sometimes it makes the mahapurk llook bad and people make it a reason for nindya so i usually don;t. What is the significance of pilgrimage in Sikhism? no significance but going to sri darbar sahb or other teeraths (guru ghars and takths) and getting/learning a way to live or stregnhen your sikhi- jeevan jaach is truly guru's mat. What is the Gurmat view on pursuing Education? ummm you see.. theres viharak parhaee (education) and brahm vidya (spiritual teaching).. if you just pursue worldy education without spirtiual education you will become hankari (arrogant) do both. personally i feel we need to educate but not so much and for so long that iit takes out of bandagi/bhajan time. What view does Sikhism have on Marriage? its encouraged.. sagal dharam me grihsth pardhan... but dont get tangled in it, just fufil it as duties What is the correct way of taking Hukamnama from Sahib Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj? What is the significance of the Hukamnama?1t is against the tradition to take the hukam from wherever we like or be mind full of the time of day or when devotees grab hold of angs from the left and right to open up the page again. This does not attract the Guru’s happiness. After performing Ardas and before taking the hukamnama, one should recite the Mool mantar five times or recite the four manglacharan1. Then, the verses related to the vision of the Guru are read as we fold and remove the rumala. Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is the embodiment of the great Guru so no doubt should arise regarding the time of the day etc. Reading the verses of devotion, one should turn a handful of page to the left or right without deliberation. The verse that starts at the left page is the Guru’s true hukamnama. If the verse starts from the previous page then follow it over by turning the page over to the right. If the verse is a Salok, a Pauri will often follow it and this should be read as well. In this way the true hukamnama is read and the great Guru’s affection is earned.” Se kinehiya page 363 ^ How should one respect Granthi Sahibans? you can give them kirtan bheta or dastars or clothes. When leaving one’s house to go to the Gurdwara, is there any maryada which should be obeyed? Do ishnaan, where double dastaar (kesi and dastar) and do paath simran if you can if not then dnt do idle chatter or gossip on the way How should a Sikh greet each other upon meeting? Waheguru ji khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh How should one respect the Sadh Sangat? do jodea di seva or any seva for the sangat langar, cleaning, paath, kirtan anything positive to the sangat is respectful How should one do NITNEM? wake up at amirtvela (i try but fail a lot) then do simran and then pnaj bania and more if you can Where can one learn shudh path of Sahib Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj? From Santhiya classes
