  1. burn em like Guru ji roasted the masands.
  2. why always blame hindus for impotent sikh leadership mr another parnoia sikh? 111572[/snapback] he's not blaming hindus, he's blaming the impotent leaderrship for getting hindus to vote. it's not paranoia, this stuff really does happen!!
  3. the reason many want a "leader" is so they can shove all the Panth's problems on his shoulders, and also have a good time blaming him for rising patitpuna... in essence we want a scapegoat. no one is going to come and solve our problems the way we are expecting it to happen. the problems are not because we lack leadership. it's because we have forgotten what amritvela meant, what nitnem meant, what reading 25, 50, 100 Japji sahibs per day meant. naam japo ( and I mean do this in insane proportions to the extent where it becomes 24/7 automatic). and the irony is, if Sikhs started doing this, then we'd have a leader....darn that's crazy irony!!
  4. Bhai Mati Dass was Brahmgyani, Bhai Sati Dass was Brahmgyani, Bhai Mani Singh ji was Brahmgyani. All Mata ji's ( wives, mothers) of Guru Maharaj were Brahmgyanis. They were also Gursikhs, Gurmukhs, Sikhs, Sants....what else.....Sadhus, Mahatamas, Mahajeevs. Why you ask? because they, in the truest sense of these words, mean the same thing. Doesn't matter if you call them Bhai Deep Singh, or Baba Deep Singh ji, or Sant Deep Singh ji. It all applies to them. Any other questions R Singh ji?
  5. kaur93, i hope you go to Khalsa School, or else this project might bring some uninvited tension to you.... i'd think twice before doing something like this unless you know enough to counter any terrorist allegations your teacher or other students may throw at Sant ji.
  6. the point is, any <banned word filter activated> who has the audacity to use pure names of Sikhs in such a degenerating way, well, then they better be prepared for some consequences. if people wanna make fun of Sant ji on their own hinduunity.com sites or whatever, then they can go right ahead, we don't care. but using a name like "khalsitan" and then using disgusting language for Sikhs and their saints....well then i'll do what a TRUE "soulja" would do.
  7. all i have to say is "thank you"....these sites were a real disgrace.
  8. usually on the weekend before school starts.......
  9. wear a smaller gatra so your kirpan doesn't need to be tucked into your pants..and stays higher up.
  10. i hope they raise a memorial...a memorial in every city....i'd support a memorial to just pissoff these dimwits who have the nerve question the shaheedi of our singhs.
  11. Can anyone shed more light on this? First time i've heard it.
  12. think about it guys....Guru ji gave us kirtan (plus categorizing Bani according to raag) for a reason. we don't need to go any place else to get our fill
  13. since i tie both gol dastaar and pointed kind....my tan line is confused as to what shape it should take...
  14. that krishna dude got burned when everyone else went silent in the middle of his rant...lol...then he tried to backtrack....what a goofball.
  15. Sikhi is here to stay. This is the Panth that Guru Gobind Singh ji gave to Akaal Purakh to manage. Nothing can ever destroy it. Doesn't matter if 90% of youths cut their hair....their apostasy doesn't even put a scracth on Sikhi. Stay in chardi kala. Nothing can break the Khalsa Panth. This is the everlasting panth. Things aren't as bad as they are going to get....the worst is still to come. Just keep faith in Guru Vaheguru. If you lack bhagati like the rest of the 99.99% of the world, then you too are doomed.
  16. yes, i agree.... -no burning of anything -no over the top yelling -must be peacefull -make sure white public understands the protest...cause that's the whole point overall, know you are representing sikhs out there...so don't do anything that could cause us embarrasment.
  17. agree with posh jatti....control your anger shriomani singh...caling badal names only makes yourself look like a wahhabi fanatic..lets keep peace remember, even when indira gandhi was doing all the shitttt, Sant Jarnail Singh ji never called her a "<admin-profanity filter activated>" or any other name, he called her "bibi indira gandhi" or "pandita di thee" meaning daughter of pundits...but he never cussed her...lets try to keep our cool, even on our enemies calling them names, we end up making ourselves look like hate filled idiots.
  18. About 200 historical ones (associated with Guru ji or purantan Sikhs). Other than that, there were thousands of village gurdwaras, which were all converted into mosques, schools, government buildings, homes. Even from the 200 historical gurdwaras, only about a dozen are funtioning as gurdwaras. The rest are either crumbling, being used as homes, schools, or government buildings. It's so sad. But there's not much we can do. The harsh reality is that unless there are Sikh families living in the area of the gurdwara, it's pretty hard to prevent locals from using the buoilding for their own uses. That's why the Joga Singh gurdwara is well preserved since there is a local Peshawari Sikh Sagat there. Same is true for a few gurdwaras in Shekhupura (Nankana Sahib). There are some local Sikhs families who actualy USE the gurdwara.
  19. It's recorded fact in various granths (Sooraj Prakash, PAnth Prakash) that Guru ji used various days to have large sangat gatherings. Sangrands, Pooranmashis, Vaisakhis, Holis, have been all days that Guru ji used to have large sangat gatherings. The point was not to worship the actual days, but to use them to have large sangat gatherings. We do similar things even today. Say for example having a New Years Gurdwara programme, or having large sangat gatherings on Sunday. The point is not to worship Sunday or worship New Years day, but to use them as an excuse to congregate with gursikhs. So don't worry too much about having "sangraand" day at the gurdwara, no one is going to tell you to worship the moon on that day, you'll be just in the company of sangat and read from gurbani. Guru ji has written Bani specific to months....not to make us worship the months, but just to serve as reminders. Just like doing "Nitnem" we get a daily reminder. Just like doing Naam Simran all day we get a constant reminder. Similarly, we get a reminder once a year when we decide to spend New Years Eve at the gurdwara instead of partying with friends.
  20. yes, i believe Guru Nanak wrote either Beej Mantar (Ik Oankar) or the whole Mool Mantar on a piece of paper, placed it on a platform with beautifull cloths, and did circles around it instead. Most of the guests, priests, family members were upset, but little did they know who 'Nanak' really was. Dhan Guru Nanak Dhan Guru Nanak
  21. KuMi reads Gurbani... must say i am impressed.
  22. The Khalsa was not created to be just a military force, not at all. Guru ji was not trying to create the worlds most powerful army, or to conquer lands, that’s not the Dharam of the Khalsa. In terms of power and might, the Mughal Empire was far stronger than the Khalsa. The Khalsa never numbered beyond a few thousand, and they never had the great resources that state armies had. The Khalsa defended itself using the weapons produced from hardworking Sikhs who contributed them as part of their daswand. I’m sure the Marathas conquered more territory, had a bigger army, had more military feats than the Khalsa. But no army in this world, ever was nor ever will, match the Saintliness, courage, bravery of the Khalsa. The khalsa didn’t conquer land, it only defended itself. Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s army was not the Khalsa army, it was just an ordinary army that had Sikh soldiers. He was no different than all the other kings of the world. He might have been a good king, but his army was certainly not the “khalsa army”.Khalsa is only under Akal Purakh, and it does not spend it’s time conquering the lands of others. It only defends the land it resides on, and it protects dharma and uphold righteousness. No other army in the world can match the Khalsa in terms of its virtues. The virtues of the Khalsa are beyond any army of the world. In terms of just virtues, the Khalsa is more powerful than the US Army. But in terms of weapons, number of forces, resources, of course the Khalsa can’t match it. One Khalsa can take on 150,000.…no other army has a soldier that can do this. The khalsa has conquered the mind…which no other army can accomplish. So my suggestion would be to not compare the khalsa to worldly armies…cause the worldly armies only count the amount of forces and amount of land you conquer. Guru Gobind Singh ji never conquered any land, he only taught the Khalsa to defend itself and anyone who comes seeking protection from the khalsa.
  23. only God and otehr bhagats know who a real bhagat is, we just try and guess. nevertheless, this pope did some really good things in his life. don't know how much bhagati he did, only Vaheguru knows.
