Off course other ways like jeevani,sakhiya really helps as well in fact they should be incorporated while we do practise so it keep us always motivated and inspired. Don't take different approaches in conflict with each other but rather different ways. Reciting gurbani with full faith for various socio-economic and ultimately for our own mind cleansing and seeing power of chanting gurbani, seeing affects of it that's direct experience of individual it's more profound ,penetrating than jeevan sakhiya which one may or may not be drawn to naturally. As they say stories is other experience but direct interaction is our own inner experience. Like for example if I am thrisy of water I cannot be fully satisfied or my thrist cannot be quenched with other experience of drinking water ..my thrist will be only quenched ultimately with my direct experience of drinking water myself. Similarly gurbani is ocean water we are fish. Fish need water direct interaction for survival.

Find out by deep inquiry while in deep prayer-infuse the innocent question like an innocent baby -when you were baby- completely novice curious soul with that kind of pure innocence, unconditioned mind without preconceived notion, preconditioning- infuse the innocent question in your deep prayer- who is the mediator? This inquiry its not matter of abstract/conceptually asking the question- remember innocent baby does not know how to see things or put things conceptually but our innocence as baby as curious soul knows only to feel the question. With that innocence and feeling- throw the question out to divine without words but with feeling- who is mediator? when divine answers back at that moment there won't be questions at all, you feel the answer. But unfortunately for most of us this feeling of answer from divine does not last that long because our conceptual mind will kick in again and take control- take center stage. Yes leave it to Guru Maharaj. It's up to Guru maharaj to decide to draw his sikh in or not and various ways to draw seeker in.

It can be slippery slope if parcharik use this too much so careful balance is needed but its been used as method to get people into it. It's pretty immature for others to throw big name mahapursh in blame without any context. However, it just shows no one is infallible only shabad and shabad gian only is.

This is first case which is gone to police in these kind of scandals hopefully there is through investigation. Whoever is found guilty- full precedence needs to set, put in case study for all to study. Seriously, parcharikhs need to give sangat some credit, they think we are all retarded like born yesterday. If you must do parchar have deeper impluse towards doing parchar yet not deep rooted/self abidance in your real self/ non dual shabad gian, then you might as well just stick to just youtube channel to do parchar, have proper full time job, don't even interact with real life parchar or sangat, because sooner or later one lets their unguarded thoughts take control and screw up (very high profile rishi manuis screwed up in the past, so never be surprised if one gets drawn to maya and screw up) either that or some crazy obnoxious vile extremely jealous individuals or group will try to entrap you..either way if parcharikh is not deep rooted in their real self or shabad gian effortlessly this will have major psychological affect on parcharik state of mind not to mention break sharda of individuals and destroy victim life. However if shabad gian fully consumes one according to guru's kirpa takes hold of one fully then through an parcharik-sat-shabad gian does parchar, then there is no worry for down falls then despite of nindaks countless attempts, there is not even worry for parcharikh if body gets burned, torn apart to pieces by nindaks, not whole world destruction infront of their eyes can affect their natural state of being- pure stillness in shabad. Regarding this case specially, i m glad victim went to police this should be encouraged yet lets see the legal outcome. Everyone should know their rights and follow legal means. Due to increase in corruption and previous track records, it looks like there is no good and bad comparison when it comes to SGPC/sarna control of ethasik gurdwaras its only bad and worst. Looks like there is not such choice out there who can compete with wide spread power/influence SGPC/sarna influence has. There is no much choice, one has to vote by looking at risk factors, track records of both influential parties. My safest bet would be SGPC if there is only choice between SGPC and sarna group. Sant Samaj/Nihang groups has bit of influence in SGPC (strategically so) so i don't think they would dare move try to destroy puratan maryada or heritage of patna sahib.
