yup you're totally right Kurtas ji, there is a Gurdwara right near the park, it would be ideal to end the nagar kirtan there; to see the organisers of this event in all their glory please see front cover of this week's 'awaze quam'; they talk about waking the youth up maybe it's time they did too!

yup Guru Ji were brought to the park but only for a few minutes whilst they did final Ardaas after nagar kirtan (because nagar kirtan ends in park) and about "those that follow a human Guru" they were there again this year with not one, but two stalls, to feed the Sikh sangat who was more than happy to give them money.

brought ppl in 2 sikhi?? thats all wel and good, but have u ever heard of a camp which promotes those who have moved away from sikhi???? at this very camp, a bibi was highly promoted, who had in previous years, worn a keski, and then taken it off and cut her hair!!!! she as at the forefront of the camp organisation, doing kirtan on stage!! what kind of an image is this promoting??? dont worry kids, its fine 2 keep ur rehat one day, and then lose it the next!!! what madness... i would not send my kids to such a confusing environment... there are far more better camps, sending out the right message, with no wishy washy sikhi... just THE GURU'S SIKHI!!!!! Ok but what if that bibi was having problems? What if her doing seva at a forefront role was a method in which she could overcome her problems and sort herself out? What’s wrong with her doing kirtan as someone with a hair cut? Since when have only turbaned Sikhs been allowed to sing praises of God??

i reckon all these people could have easily got done for disturbing the peace or under some other public order, then they could have gone back home and done bhangra under the pippal tree

this dudley road thing happened after the mela; the park where the mela was hosted is a couple of miles away; the guy making the film didn't focus too much on the cars on dudley road, there was a few Gursikhs there taking all the flags down off of cars whose owners were smoking etc

couldn't agree more! how many poeple have actually bothered to listen to kirtan and katha recordings of the camp?? anyways it's kind of funny how with the camps coming up, this video was hosted now, around the time poeple start filling out applications!! i won't mention who but someone does have a hidden agenda, but hey, what's new these days? chalo each to their own and all that but on that note why don't you all come to sikh student camp and find out what it's like for yourselves, i know i'm going to :lol:

ok ijust tried to get through to katherine but the woman said call back in about 30mins, i pretended to be a guest at the wedding who needed directions, the lady happily gave me directions and did not mention anything about the wedding being cancelled :lol:

yup from my experience it is very difficult to learn with asian parents especially if your dad sits in the passenger side and is going mad kicking the floor because he thinks the brake pedal has magically appeared on his side :wub: (men!!) and when you mom screams just because you ACCIDENTALLY drove her car through garage door - i mean come onnnnnnnnn woman get a grip!!!!!!! plus don't go for lessons with the AA because i failed with them, maybe it was because i hit a tree i don't know but apparantly i was the 1st student ever to be failed with this particular instuctor so then i got a punjabi instuctor, and boy did he yell! and one time he made me pull over and said "that's it get out :cool: " and i was like huh? what have i done now? and like he made me swap seats and then he told me he's going to show me how i drive.....and like he was zooming around corners and slamming on the brakes etc but ya i stuck with him and i passed - on my 3rd attempt but
