  1. I remember listening to the radio last year and it was really good!! I learnt alot! Took over the amritbani youth world show and again as done in english! theres NO excuses to not understanding!! lol Check it out! you can get some wicked shabads too.....
  2. THIS is what CONFUSES ME ABOUT KARAM!!!
  3. Just because we they may not appear to be able to recite naam doesnt mean they cant! Just the sound of it is all thats needed and from there, they will adapt to reciting naam themselves. It will become a part of them. What must be remembered is, we arent the clever or abled people. who we call disabled in my opinion are sometimes the more able as they can and will do things we take for granted by using excuses like, im tired (i sit clearly in this catagory!!!) Maharaj blesses them with skills also, we may not see them but doesnt mean they dont have them! A blind person typically has a good sense or surroundings, how? ask your self that. Apologies for mitakes and offenses. My nani was blind, she was blinded for 3days yet no one knew as she was able to tell the time spot on when asked yet she couldnt see the clock, stil managed to cook food n everything, my masi only realised when my nani put her hand on a burning pot and jokely said, "mum didnt you see it?" which is when my nani cried and said no, im blind. Sometimes even the most unfortunate in our eyes, are the most fortunate. look at it this way, they get to do something which we cant, naam 24/7 coz we concentrate so much on other things!!! All maharaj end of day, mite make them pay for sins in a previous life but blesses them with the opportunity to call his name and beg for liberation!
  4. Might be an idea for a couple people to watch the play incase there is any conflict after showing by muslims who use the excuse Sikhs banned a play, so will we attitude... That way we know what both plays are about and have some sort of leg to stand on!!
  5. VAHEGURU ^ VAHEGURU (Vaheguru to the power of Vaheguru = ULTIMATE VAHEGURU NAAM JAP!! lol! <_<  Jst means dont have to do a cut and paste job!! )
  6. My point exactly. I will ring them up 2moro (just seen the number now and i guesin they closed now!!) and will also ask. When you foned was there no aswer hence u left a message? i will call from work so i can keep callin all day till i get an answer! lol, not like i got nething else to do! lol (literally, i have nothing else to do! <_< ) Education is the key and finding out the purpose, not get defensive because it may be jst an honest mistake. Who took the photo? Because to me, it would have made sense that day only to tell them to either take it down or rotate!!!??! (not saying what you did was wrong tho, alot of time the shock stops us!) Alot of the time if we jump to actions we are not gona have a practical outcome, makes sense for once to use our brains and use this to an advantage!! Shows simply that schools are not doing their jobs propery since beadmi like this is still happening tho RE is compulsary in first school alone!!!! and primary since alot of the time i see primary and secondary schools in Gurdwara Sahib having talks done for them!!!!!!
  7. Why not find out why they have the display and ask them to rotate 180deg so facing correctly and educate. Maybe they might take down themselves...? Sikhi is a universal religion, everyone wants a piece of it! Ik Onkar resembles One God. Christians too believe in one god. Hence maybe why they have displayed it? How about instead of making them remove the rumala, we say display it properly with a little message about what the translation is, where it came from and then a couple of links to websites which people can find more info about Sikhi from???? That then forms Sikhi Parchar, and stops beadmi of Ik Onkar (being displayed incorrectly). Apologies if people dont agree with this, its just after the Bhezti incident, we have to be careful in what we say "We dont want this being displayed, its offensive to Sikhs" coz end of day, all that is needed is a news paper article to write a stupid story sayin we forced them to remove!!! Please forgive me for offense to anyone and mistakes by my opinion. I just think if you see Ik Onkar in a Church shop, it shows Sikhi is everywhere, a simple explanation on a post card next to it providing information is a good thing.. All-Info
  8. HEEHEEHEE VERY FUNNY PICTURE!! HEEHEEHEE lol Im jokin, i think it looks wicked! and i saw her on the day and trust me, it looked amazing!! Happy Bday lil sis!!!!! Tho i told you this mornin i sayin it again now! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIL PHENJEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!! LOL Have a wicked day! WJKK WJKF
  9. Take a text book to em and slap em with it! Show em the rehat maryada. I used to get problems in school too back in the day but jst used to same as ma lil bro indi, refused to do PE. worked a treat coz government requirment for you to participate in PE. NOT TO TAKE OF YOUR KARA!!! lol!! Congratz bro!! Told ya would work out in the end!!!! :TH:
  10. Take a Hukham and follow your gut instinct! This isnt probably the best advice!!! But so far is worked for me!
  11. purpose being to fill it out i guess... for feedback and results?!?
  12. I cut my hair up until about 18months ago and before when i cut it, it wasnt good. Now its strong and thick but think if you get me? I use Timote or however you spell it!! Smells nice too!! Nice herbal stuff! Works for me, iv used loads of different stuff and thats the best i have found. Wash it then condition it (again timote), then dry it!! My method.. Lighlty towel dry (NOT to hard else u break the hair!!) then erm, use a hair dryer (i use a Vidal Sasoon.... ) on medium, hot, medium, cold, medium and dab with a towel too, then let it open for bout 20-30min (my hair is still short tho so dnt take as long but repeat the drying process if need by - the hair dryer bit!!) Takes a while BUT its done my kesh good! I went to a hair dresser and asked why my hair took so long to grow and she looked at it and said, "You dont have a single split end and your hair is so healthy! How do u do it? so i told her n she was shocked coz supposedly u meant to cut bout once every 6weeks to keep healthy... Try that method, see if it works? My hair falls out a bit, but thats when i dnt take care enuf of it. NOTHING goes in my hair other then that! I kill ya for tryin!! no oils no nothin, dnt trust em!! Try and do this once every 2-3days for a bit, then condition a couple times a week. If anyone on here has ever had the opp to see my hair out, they tell you, it is in healthy condition considerin it got shaved once every 3weeks <_< ( Thats jst my advice, try if you like! Up to you, but its worked for me!!! Mite work for you? WJKK WJKF

  14. A straight reply to this is, STOP EVERYONE FROM GOING TO THE GURDWARA WHO DOES NOT KNOW WHY THEY ARE GOING. End of discussion. See the point? Its extreme. Thats the view people will be taking. Just because you dont know why you are doing Lava does not prove anything. Apologies but it doesnt. That just says the same to a lilttle kid running to Maharaj Parkash, headbuting the floor and runnin away. Why does that kid do that? Because they dont know why they doing that. Any one see the similarity? Logical. In islam, muslims bow down to allah as the "Submit" to him as he is more powerful. In Sikhi, we bow down, give our head and say"Guru Ji, hears my head, do with it what you wish, its yours. Play football with it if you want. Its yours not mine". How many people understand that? Not many at all. Untill recently, i never knew that. I jst thought i go and do matha to show respect. If there is not enuff education then how will people know? Instead of placing a ban, which is pointless, like i said, might as well ban people going to the Gurdwara instead, how about put up some screens, translate the Gurbani into english for those who dont know it! Its not like the Gurdwara dont have the money is it! That exposure to Bani is all thats needed. You put up something which people can read, they read it. Why? coz in a wedding all you do is get bored, lets face it, its why the older generations chat so much and the kids run wild. If they are reading something, they soon calm down. Proven fact in our Local Gurdwara. Simple solution but instead of taking steps to assist people, what do we do? push them away. One other thing i forgot to write, only rememberd coz someone i think wrote it above (anjaan)? What use it is growing your beard and not cutting your hair for a month or whatever people do for wedding? Is it to look nice on your wedding today with a beard and a Dastar on? Whats the point? you just make yourself look stupid and worst of all, do be admi to my Guru. i told my cousin straight, he trims his beard but kept it for the wedding. What is the point? Who are you trying to fool? Guru Ji? By sitting in front of him for that short period you think he wont know that before you cut your beard, and as soon as you get home, its comming off again? Its more preferable to go there infront of maharaj and get the blessing in the body of who you are. Anyone can look Sikh, not hard. Sikhs were mistaken for afghans were they not after 9/11? Turban and Beard? Same principle works the other way, jst put Kara and Kirpan on one of them, hey presto, they look amritdhari (you wont see the Khanaga or Keshera as hidden). Face facts, cant fool anyone. If any ban is to be put in place its no ban! Jst friendly advice to say, this is what a sikh is, please try your best to follow it, COME AND LEARN bout sikhi, how beautiful it is, and soon the person will come in, keep hair, stop eating meat/smoking/drinking etc etc Banning anyone doesnt do no good at all. Apologies for the long post and the offences made. I know i must have made a couple. I can only apologise but sometimes reality can be hard. Please forgive my mistakes. WJKK WJKF
  15. Who wants to write the next conversion story? and who wants to be the next person fighting on the doors of the law to prevent SIKHS talking MAHARAJ to a private hall for a wedding? Is it not written in Bani that everyone is entitled to enter a Gurdwara? Gurus house is open to all? Seriously all the brothers and sisters who have written they are in full agreeance, please think. Have you always had your kesh and lived in that environment? What about those like myself, who have been born and had a hair cut from day 1, only by my own choice and Guru's Kirpa did i take the step to keeping the Gift from Maharaj. Like i said, the principle makes sense, but do you really want to push away what little sikhs we have left? To me it is a known fact that hair cut bros and sis do so much seva, i see it everyday. Yet they always seem to get the stick. I told my mum and sister earlier, and they shouted at me for it. What have i done? nothing. this is the image Sikhs who carry Guru's roop imply. Im not perfect, i know that, i still have many paps and will have many more.. But because of that it makes me who i am. I earlier said i agree with the principal, im soon starting to change my mind.. Reason is, i know more hair cut sikhs that care more about sikhi then Kesh Dhari. When i was at uni, we had the Al-Mahajaroun, it was hair cut singhs who gave us great support. I had an amrit dhari singh who said he wasnt going because he was scared of have a chapal thrown at his head. those were his exact words. Ask yourself, who cares more bout Guru Ji sitting in Darbar Sahib. Those who have been given a gift and abuse the hell out of it? or those who know mistakes and admit them, but have not yet got it in them to change their ways. At uni, a Singhs dastaar got taken off in a rumble over india v pakistan match last yr. Who were the people on the front line ready to sort out the problem? Hair Cuts. Why? Coz they know something many Sikhs with Dastars dont. Thats your Gurus Dastar. Not yours. Your Gurus. So by right they have the choice if they wish to have a sikh wedding then to have one. Yeh they may not know what it means but they still should have the option. Sorry to go on. Having disscussed with my mum after my last post, i thought about a few things. Yes we should keep Gurus Rehat and Hukham but some people do not have that strength inside them. So is it right to deprive them of what little piyaar they have for my Guru? I dnt think so, but as said, im jst a papi and my voice does not count. Many apologies for offences made. I see the world in both lights because i have been in the shoes of the other side. I have seen both lights. I know which i prefer but because of my up brining, i am not to forget where i came from. There are only a few decent Kesh Dhari in the world now, there are many more Monay that are prob better hearted. They just dont know it yet. WJKK WJKF All-Info
  16. I agree with the principle to an extent. I cut my hair for well over 18yrs, then woke up and havent cut it since december 2003. Therefore understand what the committee is saying but lets face some facts involved with this procedure. 1. You will push people away from Sikhi 2. People will get married outside of the Gurdwara 3. Preventing a sikhi, whether he has cut hair or not is wrong if in a Gurdwara to see my guru as that one visit may be the change he or she needs.. But most of all. What happened with the Respect for Guru Ji Campaign? Was this not in a similar way? Maharaj being taken to dirty places because supposedly the Gurdwara charged to much for a wedding (and obviously a hotel is charging less... <_< @ ) But point being this will only increase these types of weddings as some <banned word filter activated> is going to make money by arranging weddings in "Clean" halls and still the Anand Kharaj will go ahead. "Quote Defeats the whole point really. Members, men or women, with trimmed hair will not be allowed to perform “Anand Kharaj” (a religious marriage ceremony) on the Gurdwara premises. Senior CGPC vice-president Harbhajan Singh said the decision would work as a pressure tactic on youths so that they will learn to respect their hair." If the youth dont respect the hair now, what makes you think they will respect it after they are turned away? Like i said, i agree with what is trying be done BUT look at the long term damage to Sikhi. If Sikhs are pushed away, what will make them want to continue Sikhi in their family (ie the next generation). I was also told by a wise person once, the Anand Kharaj, was only performed for Amritdhari Gursikhs. If this is the case, when will this come into play again? Purely for those who are Kesh Dhari but have not yet been called to give their heads will they too be excluded? I agree to an extent but there are long term thoughts which to be done. The action in my humble opinion needs to be reviewd. Sorry for any offense caused. All-Info

  20. Gurfateh I agree with you paji, United Sikhs are still heading the campaign and are still continuing to do seva. I am waiting for feedback from my contact who is working closely with her and will put up on the site when have it. It is pointless each orgainisation doing there own thing hence we need to come together to work on the issue but utilising the specialities each organisation have skills in. 21. Where are the people meeting when they get to london?? It would be pointless if many people meet in one place and then another group turn up and dont know what to do with themselves... Especially if they are just coming down with not enough knowledge of what to do when get to london. Thanks All-Info
  22. I think Sikh Net may have archive info for this, the Akaal Takht was considering passing a Humkham to stop abortions in Sikhi coz of this huge gender in balance!!!
  23. Agree 100% with Paji! Use your keys instead, u will be surprised what you can do with them and even if you dnt have keys on you, theres one weapon that cant be taken from you. Your TEETH! lol, serisouly they there for a reason! Mike Tyson did in the ring... lol Dont use your kara ever to hit someone in the head! As said before, IF and ONLY IF you need to, use it to control the person! U dnt need to remove to defend. Think about it, guy throws a punch, you block it, his hand or arm hits your kara, if its not removed its not your fault! You havent actually done anything wrong just blocked your face from being smacked! Better still, go to a self defense lesson and learn how to defend you. Sikhs are born warriors, lets atleast continue that on! Sorry for any offences or mistakes WJKK WJKF All-Info http://all-info.us
