  1. Your best bet is to talk to raagi's who have recorded kirtan CDs.

  3. JSinghz, Guru Nanak Sahib Jee are God. The concept of nirgun and sargun is at play here. The other Guru's, as explained earlier 'became' (or converted to if you will) God. As the jot (light if you will) was passed on from the vessel we know as Guru Nanak Sahib Jee to Bhai Lehna Jee who then became Guru Angad Sahib Jee and so on. Perhaps the following tuks will put you at ease. God heard the cries of humanity and came as Guru Nanak to the world Bhatt Keerath Jee In this shabad Guru Amar Das Sahib Jee is called God themselves.Guru Arjan Sahib Jee For a Sikh, Guru Sahib is God. Period.
  4. Giani Thankur Singh Jee has been saying in Katha for over a year that tough time are ahead. Every Sant he meets asks him to alert the Sangat of this. In the Guru Granth Sahib Jee katha he said that Waheguru Jee has decided to finish off this world as the amount of paap has increased immensly. Then Sants went to Guru Nanak Sahib Jee and asked that those who read bani and live as per Gurmat, shouldn't they be saved? Guru Sahib asked them to come back after a few days. When they went back, Guru Sahib said that okay people who live according to Gurmat will be taken care of. Exactly when things will go down is unclear at this point. Giani Jee has not given a specific date.
  5. Don't just talk about change, be the change!
  6. yubacitysingh, you sound like a broken record. How many times will you ask the same question over and over again? I'm putting an end to this thread. If out of shape singhs bother you this much, I suggest that you go and personally talk to them to get an explanation of why they are out of shape.

    Amrit Sanchar

You can just that, I'm sure Panj will understand. Alternatively you could say mai hath saaf kita
  8. I'm not sure how often the site is checked by college authorities so there is a chance that they are not aware of this. I don't have their contact information but if someone can provide it, I would be more than happy to contact them directly and let them know of this.
  9. Most wedding cards contain one or two tuks of Gurbani at the very top, this has become a fashion thing it seems. Giani Thakur Singh Jee said in katha that we should not put Gurbani on wedding cards as the cards are thrown in garbage soon after the fact. I just wanted to highlight this for members as it is a rather small effort we can make. I have seen some wedding cards where instead of Gurbani they write English translations. This feel like a good way of getting the message of Gurbani across to all guests while maintaining respect toward Gurbani. Does anyone have any ideas on what tuks (English translations only of course) would suit on a wedding card? Dhanwaad
  10. I have downloaded iGranth and will check it out when I get home. Dhanwaad.

    Jawaddi Taksal

Your best bet is to contact them directly. http://www.jawadditaksal.org/index.php/Contact-Us/Gurudwara-Gur-Gian-Parkash.html I have personally met Principal Sukhwant Singh Jee. He heads up the kirtan side of things at taksal and is an extremely nice gursikh. Even though we had met the first time, the pyaar he showered toward me was immense
  12. While the mods may be logged in it does not mean we are a) active at the time b) reading through all the new posts being made Typically I don't go through all new posts looking for trouble makers. If in my normal browsing I see something out of line, action is taken. I would encourage the more mature members to please use the Report feature to highlight any and all posts which are out of line. Dhanwaad PS. The posts are regulated, the ones you see are the filtered ones. That outta tell you something eh JSinghnz, you already are on QC. I would advise you to be courteous and nice to others. Don't make me unpackage my shiny new club. I have been working out I tell you :pushups:
  13. The only app missing from Android is Gurbani Anywhere. I really love the app but it seems the developers are not going to build it for Android
  14. I will only say this one time. Do not deviate from topic and do not make things personal. This is a rather sensitive topic, let's not ruin this too. Next time I see something like that happening, you will be given a warning and put under QC. If you feel the urge to be childish, you can use the PM feature to death. As I get time I will remove all off topic posts from this thread. Edit: All off topic posts have been removed.
  15. Looking at your post on the other website, I'm not so sure that you would want to get a B.Sc. in Computer Science. This degree is primarily based on programming, you will need to code a lot. I was really surprised to read that you are not a fan of Visual Studio, I have worked with many IDEs and VS is by far the best one out there. If you don't like VS then you won't like anything else out there either. In this day an age, programming without an IDE is unheard of. Having a degree is always best, however, if a diploma can get you a job that is a decent start. But then what you have to do is, as you work, you have to get certifications as you go to bring your education up to par with the rest. A few years of experience along with the diploma + right certs will give you a hand up against the competition. If networking sounds intriguing to you, look at A+ certification to begin with. There are a number of Cisco certifications which are in high demand for networking folks as well. I'm not sure how things work in England but that is the jist of things work in American sub continent

    Need Some Advice

It is fine, no need to go pesh. I would advise against popping pimples however.
  19. Yet you continue to a part of this joke :rolleyes2:
  20. Please do not be put off by the requirement of a Design Document. If this is not something you are able to do, a small paragraph describing the app will be sufficient as well
  21. I don't mean to sound harsh but if you said nothing to him at the time then opening a thread on this forum to complain about the event is rather useless.
  22. You can not think about God's existence
