  1. Hammertime Jee, what we are saying is we need to advocate our uniqueness. But you are advocating outright hostility towards the Muslims. You might want to observe and accept that in the US the Sikh-Muslim situation is much different than the Sikh-Muslim situation in the UK, you are mixing the two together. Please don't not try to prove your uniqueness to Goray by showing off your hatred for Muslims. A Sikhs is Nirvair (one without enmity). This is not the time to show or spread hatred towards any particular community. We need to think of more positive steps which can be taken to spread awareness of Sikhi instead of trying to spread hate towards others. I for one think the best way to spread awareness of Sikhi is to actively do parchar of Sikhi to non Sikhs. Non Sikhs should be invited into our Gurdwaras and taught about what Sikhi is and how following Sikhi has can change ones life. Every Sikh should act as an ambassador of the Sikh faith. Make yourself so spiritual and pious, encompassing all the good qualities a Gursikh should have that non-Sikhs just by observing you should want to be like you and adopt your faith.
  2. While Sikhs should tell the world they are not not Muslims or any other religion but an independent religion but at the same time that does not mean we should start to point the finger of blame at any other religion. I have noticed some Sikhs in trying to show their difference from Muslims start to overly bash and bad mouth Islam and Muslims as if that will show how truly unique the Sikhs are. That is not the Gurmat thing to do. Most Muslims living in the west are good people, I wouldn't want people do hate them. We need to follow the examples of our Gurus in every point. We need to inform non Sikhs out there who we are. Reading some of the comments by Sikhs at the comments section of news papers one can help notice how ignorant even fellow Sikhs are of Sikhi. For example, one Sikh commenter wrote Sikhism does not beleive in converting other people to Sikhism because Sikhism believes all religions are equal and lead to the same place. With such ignorance is it any wonder why Sikhs are no longer spreading the word of the Gurus to non Sikhs? They say one of the best ways to inform others of your religion is to preach it and spread it. In that case we have failed miserably. Sikhi is a unique religion. It was founded by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Jee who was the greatest of all. His spiritual path(Sikhi) is also the greatest path amongst paths. We Sikhs have done some great Karma in previous lifetimes to be blessed with the priceless jewel of Sikhi in this lifetime.
  3. Khalistani gun man jee, there is no justification for consuming drugs as some modern Nihangs do maybe these are some things which have crept up into the Nihang lifestyle over the centuries. I'm not against Nihangs. I personally like them. They have preserved many old traditions of the Sikhs to this day. But you need to get out of us vs them mentality that UK Nangs have created amongst many western Sikhs. I've talked to Nihangs in India and they don't agree with UK Nangs at all. That being said no one is perfect and no one is beyond scrutiny. If Nihangs are doing something objectionable there is nothing wrong with being critical about it. Just because one is Nihang does not mean whatever they do is 100% correct.
  4. WoW. It's great to see some Sikhs are still keeping an eye for potential trouble makers. The missionaries are very sneaky in the way they convert people. They will first start off as if they are trying to help you, but once they have your trust they will then start with their usual lines like Lord Jesus is the truth and the way. Sikhs need to invite Americans to their Gurdwaras and build relations with them but watch out for the christian missionaries because for them a tragedy is an opportunity to convert you when you are most vulnerable emotionally.
  5. Since it's not the good old days anymore, we can't carry rifles guns where ever we go. But we can use what we have on us. Our kirpan is a weapon. The kara can be used as a weapon similar to brass knuckles. I have seen some guys getting a little more improvised by using their belt and swing it against their opponent like in the following video. So that is 3 shastars we can always have on us. Of course the Kirpan should only be used as a very last resort if one's life depends on it. Now it is up to us to practice everyday with what we have on us. A Sikh should be so tough that he should be able to take on multiple opponents. We should not try to take Panga with anyone, always try to resolve the matter peacefully. But if all matters fail then it is justifiable to give them a beating they will remember for life.
  6. During hardship or times of persecution Sikhs tend to get more religious and marshal. This happened right after 84. But as the freedom movement died down Sikhs became less religious and also lost our marshal quality. Maybe the recent shootings of Sikhs can ignite something positive in Sikhs in the west. Maybe this can make us think outside of the comfort zone and bring us back to our roots. We need to come back to our Dharm and also start to get more marshal and by marshal I mean get self defense training and make yourself physically and mentally tough as our forefathers were.
  7. ਯਾਰ, ਬੱਸ ਵੀ ਕਰ ਹੁਣ!! You've already opened up the same topic on another thread with your conspiracy theories. Why create a new thread with the same topic again?
  8. I've just read some of his articles, and apparently this is the type of crap Ron Bander Jee always writing. Bandar Jee's two main targets are Sikhs and Muslims.
  9. What a sick <banned word filter activated> this sorry excuse of human being is.
  10. Genie Jee is correct. Our media such as Panthic.org should also do a report on this guy and expose him. Notice how it's the same 2 or 3 Sikhs with him in all the photos which shows this guy doesn't even have a lot of support base. He is pretty much alone yet he gets so much media coverage as if he is the main representative of the Sikhs in India. He must be told to stop embarrassing us. He's always acting psychotic in all the photos where as everyone else around him are pretty much calm and composed.
  11. Is his National Akali Dal the same as Shiromani Akali Dal of Badal? currently there are many factions of the Akali dal. These guys seem to be from Delhi.
  12. This man is a hero. And I agree, no less than the Akal Takht Jathadar himself should give him a Saropa on the behalf of the entire Panth.
  13. What an embarrassing site that man is. I think he is brought to all these protests just to create a scene and embarrass the Sikhs. If anyone knows him please talk to him or his family to make him stop embarrassing the Sikhs. You can google this guy and see for yourself. All of his pictures are like this where he acts like a real angry psycho. But it's all acting. What a drama queen.
  14. I've entertained you enough on your strange theories. My last post. There is a saying about paranoid conspiracy theorists like you: Being slightly paranoid is like being slightly pregnant, it tends to get worse. Seek help brother.
  15. FACEPALM I think the mods are sleeping. Where are they when you need them to close a nonsense topic?
  16. second amendment da lagda How do you know THEY know we're not Muslims? to the average American that's exactly what we are. Bhaaji, have you been living on mars for the last 11 years? Nearly every Sikh who has been to the US or lives in the US has felt that weird feeling. Americans look at us with suspicion. I had a relative in michigan telling me how even black Muslims confuse him for being a Muslim sometimes when they say Salamuaalekum to him. So many turbaned men have been called Osama or terrorist to their face in the last 11 years. Maybe you don't wear a turban so you might not have experienced it. But for those of us who do wear a turban know exactly what was going on in the mind of that skin head. And I don't even know what your problem with Jews/Zionists is. I have known Jews(the zionist types) and they don't have any problem with Sikhs. One of my former professors was a Jewish zionist and he had a great deal of respect for Sikhs and supported our right to self determination. Extremist Christians and Muslims may not like them, but we have no problem with them and neither do they have a problem with us. So stop trying to turn their problem into our problem. Stop trying create a conspiracy in everything. I remember it was you or someone else like you also came up with a conspiracy theory that the Jews are behind the SGPC not allowing Patits to vote in the elections. Seriously, please reconsider your theories or at least keep them to yourself. It's really getting embarrassing.
  17. Thank you, that's exactly what I'm trying to say here. There is a time and place to say something. Conspiracy theories right now is not the wise thing to do. Right now, everything is so fresh, lets use what little media attention we are having and tell the world in a single voice what we have been going through since 9/11 in the west. Spiting out all sorts of nonsense theories will just blunt our effort and make us weaker. If we are going to live in the west and raise our children we want them to be safe. I don't want more of these murders happening.
  18. WOW, so now you guys see a conspiracy in this as well? was Balbir Singh also killed by a Zionist Jew after 9/11 as you beleive this was the case in the Gurdwara shooting?? Are you guys for real??? does everything in the world have to have a conspiracy behind it?? can't we just take this at face value and accept that a racist bigot killed our people in a Gurdwara instead of drawing nonsense theories.
  19. Totally agree with the OP. People need to say it the way it is. If an interviewer on national TV asked have Sikhs been victimized since 9/11 you should say YES and let the world know what Sikhs have been going through since 9/11. Instead we have fools trying to act politically correct and on the other side of the spectrum we have some of our nutcases here on this forum trying to blame this on the the Jews. Seriously how dumb can you get? We need to let the world know that there is a HUGE problem happening since 9/11 and Sikhs are at the receiving end of this problem. If we don't, expect more murders of Sikhs.
  20. Can the mods please close this thread. Harjeet Jee, please see a doctor.

    Paranoia

What do you feel paranoid of?
  22. Brother, with folded hands it's my humble bainty at your feet, the murders just happened yesterday. It is still very fresh in our minds. Please don't turn this into one of your Anti Jewish conspiracy theories. Please leave this alone and let us focus on the solution instead of further spreading confusion.
