  1. I wrote that because I knew someone like you would jump all over me. There was no need for me to put that disclaimer, but I did it to calm people like you down. All you have said is that I am shameless and disrespectful. You haven't added anything of substance to the conversation. If you disagree with me, then prove me wrong. Don't just throw insults at me. Here's something else to think about: Charitropakhiyan of Dasam Granth
  2. I have the utmost respect for guru sahibans. I didn't say anything wrong. I only spoke the truth.
  3. How do you avoid Kaam when you are trying to make kids? Guru ji had 4 kids so... I'm not implying that Guru ji was a bad guy, I'm just saying he was human like all of us. A better Sikh than us for sure, but at the end of the day he was still human.
  4. Have you seen a doctor? Sounds like you might have a pinched nerve in your back that gets agitated when you sit cross-legged, or maybe the problem is with your feet. Do your feet "fall asleep" easily? Do they get swollen?
  5. Why only 125,000 times? Why not 126,000 times? God forbid you lose count. I hope you attain whatever blessings you are seeking.
  6. Why do people always have to take things to extremes? We don't have to all intermarry for this caste issue to go away. Why can't we just learn to get along? People stuck to their castes back in the day, but they still fought side-by-side. The people discriminating against other castes don't know Sikhi. If a Jatt doesn't let a Chamar take prashad from the same place as other people, then that Jatt isn't a Sikh of the guru. I'm from a Jatt background. I'm proud of it. It's part of my blood. It's almost like an ethnic group within itself. That doesn't mean that I think I'm better than people who aren't Jatts. A lot of songs big-up Jatts, but that don't mean other people gotta develop an inferiority complex and start hating on us. Those songs are for us. Go ahead and rep your people if you want, nobody is stopping you. What about all the songs repping Punjabis, and saying how we the best? You think Gujjus or Tamils get <Edited> off? Maybe we should intermarry with them so we don't have any beef. Why stop with South Asians? Maybe every ethnicity around the world should intermarry so that we would end up with one generic race and have world peace? Probably not gonna happen. Respect each others differences and treat each other as equals.
  7. If this happens, then the person will be caught and discovered as a poser. If it is indeed a Sikh, like the guy who slapped that Indian minister, then the appropriate action for us to take would be to denounce him and then summon him in front of Akal Takht. An airplane hijacking I think is unlikely. In the US they have air marshalls on each flight, ready to shoot down anybody who tries anything. Anything can be used as a weapon. Pens, forks, sharpened handle of a comb. The media is just creating a hype because that's what it does.
  8. Nah bro. Red blood cells contain hemoglobin that binds oxygen when the blood passes through the lungs. The oxygen then disassociates from the hemoglobin complex in the body tissues because the partial pressure of oxygen in less in the body. Then the blood goes back to the heart, and then the lungs to pick up oxygen again. De-oxygenated bood isn't really blue, it's just really dark red. Oxygenated blood is bright red. Lol, I had an exam on this a while back.
  9. You are doing too much cardio and not eating enough. Your body is going into starvation mode and it's eating your muscles for extra calories. That's why you have skinny arms. No muscle means slow metabolism. That's also why you have extra belly fat. Your body thinks it's starving, so it stores the fat around your abdomen to use in an emergency situation. Cut down on cardio and concentrate more on lifting. If you still have the same problem then you need to eat more, or change your lifting routine. Cheers.
  10. Yeah you're right. My bad. The Sikh misls came to prominence after the fall of the Mughal empire. Guru Gobind Singh put Banda Singh Bahadar in charge of punishing the enemies of the Sikhs in Punjab, while Guru ji marched south with the Mughal emperor. It was on that march that assassins snuck into Guru ji's tent and stabbed him. The assassins were cut down by Guru ji's bodyguards, but Guru sahib later succumbed to infection and died. He proclaimed Guru Granth to be the next guru on his deathbed. Meanwhile Banda Singh Bhadur continued his campaign in Punjab. One of his goals was to put and end to the zameendari system of the Mughals. This meant that the Jatts would no longer have to pay tribute to Mughal overlords. They could own their land outright. The emancipated Jatts then organized themselves into Misls that filled the vacuum left over by the declining Mughal Empire. Out of one of these misls arose Ranjit Singh, who incorporated all of the Misls into the Khalsa Raj, which eventually expanded into Kashmir and Afghanistan. Bhul chuk maaf.
  11. Dogras were Sikh rulers under Maharaja Ranjit Singh. They controlled the Kashmir region. When the British showed up, the Dogras sold Ranjit Singh out. In exchange, the British made them independent rulers of Kashmir region. One particular Dogra was Gulab Singh. He was a nasty fellow. He made secret alliances and betrayed his allies. There is a story about how he lured an army of Pathans away from their village, and then proceeded to burn the village down. He killed the children and took the women as slaves. Not a nice guy. In 1947, Kashmir was mostly Muslim so they wanted to join Pakistan, but the Dogras wanted to remain independent. Pakistan then flooded the region with Pathan tribesmen in order to drive the Dogras out. The Dogra ruler then panicked and joined India, at which point Indian soldiers came in to fight the tribesmen. That leaves us with the current situation in Kashmir. That page has a lot of propaganda. I'll try to answer more questions when I have the time. I don't remember all the details, so you might have to do some research yourself. Anyone else who knows more can add. Keep up the good work.
  12. If your mind is so easily swayed by colors, then you have a weak mind. The blood pumping through our bodies is red, so I guess that means we are all going to hell. Not that we believe in hell anyways, but that's a different topic. No offense intended. Stating my opinion. Bhul chuk maaf.
  13. We shouldn't be making images of the gurus at all. It's not what they wanted. It leads to disrespectful things like this.
  14. Rai should understand that it's not Hindus we have a problem with. It's the BJP / RSS crew that we don't want running Amritsar, for obvious reasons. Also, how come BJP gets to pick the mayor of Amritsar?
  15. How come BJP is always running their mouth? "We will not tolerate it". Who are they to tell us what to do? They don't represent us and we didn't elect them. Compare that to Akali Dal who are always walking on egg shells. They don't want pictures because they don't want us to remember what they did.
  16. BJP has no right to interfere in Sikh matters.
  17. Congress doesn't want the memorial, because it will make it hard for them to get elected in Punjab. Every time people visit Harmandir Sahib, they will see the memorial of how Congress Party attacked Golden Temple.
  18. It would be nice to see a Sikh mayor representing a city founded by Sikhs, but you can't deny other people just because they aren't Sikh. What if Christians in the West didn't let a Sikh become mayor cuz it is a city founded by Christians. That would be discrimination. As long as non-Sikhs don't interfere with Akal Takht, I think it's okay.
  19. IN INDIA, COWS GET MEMORIALS BEFORE PEOPLE Cattle slaughter in Punjab, CM scrambles to announce cow memorial Rohan Dua & Rohit Mullick, TNN CHANDIGARH: Two days after indefinite curfew was imposed in the remote Joga town of Mansa district in Punjab when angry villagers razed and set afire a factory amid reports of cowslaughter inside it, Punjab CM Parkash Badal scrambled to announce a cow memorial at the premises of the unit. The decision was taken after a delegation led by Punjab Gau Sewa Board Chairman Kimti Bhagat met the chief minister on Wednesday. Tension had escalated last week after carcasses of several cattle were recovered at the Mansa factory. Several activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Gowshala Sangh had gathered around the factory in huge numbers and set ablaze its premises. The factory was reportedly being used to supply crushed bones of dead animals to pharmaceutical companies. The mob had also vandalised the houses of two men - Ajaib Singh and Mewa Singh - who the co-owners of the unit. The police are yet to ascertain the work inside the factory. "At this stage, we can only say that probes at several levels are on in full swing. We are conducting raids. A joint team has been formed by S P Mansa and SSP(Detective) which is being led by DIG Bathinda" said Bathinda I G Nirmal Dhillon. Mansa senior superintendent of police(SSP) Sukhdev Singh Chahal was suspended for dereliction of duty on Sunday. Punjab is already the first state in the country to have enacted a law for cow protection making an of fence punishable with imprisonment for ten years. Several cases of cow slaughter are pending at different levels to ensure the 'strictest punishment'. According to the latest data available with the Punjab Police, there are 270 such cases of cow slaughter in the state already.

  21. If you're that worried then you should sweep all the insects in front of you before you take a step. God forbid you step on a bug! We aren't Jains.
