  1. forgot to add... the cartoon seems pretty distasteful....no need to do stuff like that...
  2. i find it funny that namastang expects everyone to respect sri akal takt maryada when that maryada was made by the same peope he on a regular basis calls malech khalsay... yo akaal..can't pick and chose when you want to statnd beside the institution...pick a side and stick with it... and here's my favourite part of namastang's post: "i didn't say that.. can't we all get along and accept each other instead of mocking each other?" hahhahahahahahaha...what baloney....maybe you should remind yourself of the above statement when you go around spreading your hatred toward the akj and singh sabha movements...i've seen the stuff you posted just recently on another site....and your arguing with jagjit singh veer showed how much you can't "accept the akj or others"...
  3. is it the one where it starts off with 'nanak so angad gur devna..."? i love that one...i think there is a recording of someone doing kirtan of it...i'll try to find it...or if somoene knows what i'm talking about they can post it...
  4. hahaha... that's soo funny.... funnier still cuz tht's something i'd expect jas to do....hahaha... apparently theres someone i can pick on now....hahaha... gurpreet and jas will be given a break...
  5. same here...i'm stuck studying ..just got hom from library...
  6. can you guys put the words of the first line of the shabad up? thanks
  7. this is wiiicked... thanks guys...i was feeling bad about not making it...but this is awesome...it's pretty clear too
  8. namastang...you need to chill.. no where did bikramjit singh or jagjit singh veerji say that they SHOULDN"T help her....they just posing questions if they're helping others too....there's NOTHING wrong with that... speaking of the empty pitcher that makes the most noise....from a neutral standpoint...i'd say you make the most noise on this forum....
  9. jas is that a way to tlak to one of your younger sisters? she's only 14... and trust...you don't want to annoy her...have you forgotten the time i ticked her off?? she wanted to SHOOT me...i got lucky that time cuz i apologized...i suggest you do the same before she gets angry...
  10. yo manleen...you already know what you need to do just take japman in to your class...his mere size will scare the crap out of everyone....even though he's smiling all the time...haha or take chan b1....she'll tower over them...that should take care of it too
  11. jas...we were at an akhand jaap...only motive for going is to jap naam...not get fatehs.... oh there's soo much i have to teach you brother...
  12. what baloney are you saying???? i used to respect your open mindedness and you thirst for sikhi giyaaan...but this latest post just shows how much you still need to grow...tellingsomeont to take it from sri anandpur sahib and sri hazoor sahib...as it is best???!!!.... that's ridiculous...taking guru ji's amrit is the same whether you take it at dixie gurughar, anandpur sahib, hazoor sahib...all that matters is for 5 rehitvaan, naaam abhiyaasi gurmukhs to be present in the hazoori of guru granth sahib and the spiritual seekers must be thirsty for guru ji's amrit and gurmantar to start their simran jeevan....
  13. jai tegang veerji... let me ask you something... what has this thread done? has it made anyone more aware of osho?? all you guys have succeeded to do is give osho's chelay a forum to spread their message...and they seem to have a come back for every accusation you guys make...i personally haven't seen anything positive come from this thread... i think the best way to make peole aware of osho's stance...is to just say..here are his books...if anyone cares enough..go read them... i personally don't care at all...hence i'd never go read them... anothe thing...i've heard osho's name ever since i was young...but everytime i heard about him...it was "oh..he's some spiritual guy who did his own thing"...never heard him being made out to be a great gurmukh...that's why i've never had any problems with him or his followers...because ot me..they're just following their own path...and if it hels them that's great...me complaining about their path isn't going to make me progress on the my path laid out by guru ji... while i applaud the intentions..i whole heartedly disagree with the way it is going about...people think oh we need to expose such and such....no! we don't need to expose anyone...we just have to start practicing gursikhi ourselves and PREACH GURSIKHI... and no matter what anyone else is preaching....when see gursikhi being lived by those preaching it..they will be inspired!!...
  14. i would just like to say.. there have been great souls who have been udhasis, nirmala saints, sevapanthis...professor puran singh ji has written about them to some degree and if we read bhai sahib bhai vir singh ji's book called Sant Gatha...in it he has chronicaled the lives of several sevapanthi saints who lead beautiful jeevans... i'm saying this because people are attacking these groups.. HOWEVER... for people backing these groups...we cannot ignore that many mahants did a lot of negative things in our gurughars and that many udhasis have in the past taken positions against singhs... even damdami taksaal gives recognition to the sampardas..but they will also tell you of the negatives that have come out of these sampardas..so there's no point in using damdami taksaal as a pro-samparda argument... now i'd like to address namastang's (akaal, neo) repeated accusations against the akj and singh sabhias....calling them malech, farangi khalsay... neo...that isn't cool at all...it's very undignified and shows pretty much no class when you have to resort to that type of name calling...even if you DID have any points to make...you can't expect anyone to take you seriously when you behave like a child..i have been reading this from a neutral stance...and nowhere have i seen jagjit singh veer make those type of statements that you have made... i can understand that you have disagreements with the akj...i myself don't believe in keski as kakaar, or that raagmala isn't bani...however...just cuz i happen to believe something contrary to the jatha..doesn't give me the right to attack THEM...whether YOU like it or not...all amritdharis....are sons and daughters of the same Dasmesh Pita...we have the same father, same mother, we come from the same place.... as khalsa we are supposed make our jeevans of love...we are supposed to embrace the whole of humanity as our family and become the sevadaars for the good of humanity...how can we do that when we can't look at another gursikh with love and humility???... from reading your posts and others here too...there is not love and humility there... it seems that we are all posting here to make OUR points...not to learn and grow...we should probably start asking ourselves...am i posting to contribute to a positive learning environment...or am i posting cuz someone <Edited> me off and now i have to post back and make my argument.... i sincerely hope my fellow brothers and sisters will choose the former...
  15. my grandfather was involved in the punjabi suba... he spent time in jail...from what i hear...they were in great chardi kala during that time...everyday all the singhs would do simran, nitnem, and asa di vaar in the morning...and spend the rest of the day in high spirits... also..my grandfather did sangat of Sant Sangat Singh Kamaliyay valaay..who got all his vidiya from nirmala mahants and was a close friend of bhai sahib bhai vir singh ji... only reason i bring that up is to show that punjabi suba wasn't purely a political scheme by the akalis... and in fact common folk in punjab were inspired to volunteer in this suba..as my grandfather WAS a common farmer gursikh...
  16. to Premkranti...if doing sangat of osho gives you peace and solace and spiritual upliftment...than i am nothing but happy for you... may you keep experiencing spiritual growth in your chosen path... to all the singhs... i don't know much about osho...nor do i really care to know...trying to just follow Guru ji takes enough of my time to try to figure out the ins and outs of some other person... i do know this...us HATING anyone...isn't going to help our spiritual growth... we should just concentrate on doing simran, seva, sangat...if osho didn't think our gurus were gurus...then so be it...it's not an insult...i'm not insulted..i feel bad for the guy...cuz he could have probably gained immensely had he been blessed to recognize the True gurus...but he didn't and that's his path... let him have his opinion... him believing in guru ji or not doesn't affect us in anyway...and if we are to take his trivial comments and internalize them and start hating others..then it's really only our spiritual detriment...so if you don't agree with osho..ignore him and his chelay...you do what Guru ji has told you to do...and i guarantee that if we even start becoming one tenth of the sikhs that guru ji wants us to become...the world will be inspired by gursikhi...and forget about the likes of osho and others... when i listen to a tape of a gurmukh who used to do katha...i always remember hearing his words..."others can do what they please....but we are sikhs of guru sahib..and we have hukam from guru sahib on how to live our lives..we need to listen to guru sahib"....
  17. akhand jaap was great....absolutely amazing...can't wait for the next one..
  18. simmal veerji, the pind dodra that is talked about on sikhiwikki is not the same pind...the pind where gurdwara brahm bunga is located is actually pretty close to Machiwarraa also Doraha is the location of the second Gurdwara Brahm bunga sahib, which is just a half hour outside of Ludhiana..they have local samagams there i believe every two weeks....
  19. simmal veerji is correct... the pind dodra is in Bathinda District...it's about a 3 and half hour drive from Ludhiana... i'll actually be attending the samagam too...you can PM me or call the numbers that simmal veerji provided...
  20. hey ham316 veerji/bhenji (sorry don't know) if you enjoy reading Bride of the Sky ( which i think is a brilliant book for any spiritual seeker)..i think you'd enjoy reading Prakasina by Prof Puran singh ji...another truly amazing work... i haven't read a full book in a while...mainly cuz i'ver read a lot of books..and now i go back and read parts of books that i love... they include..Ten masters, spirit born people, spirit of the sikh, gurmukh sikhiya by bhai veer singh ji, sant gatha by bhai vir singh ji, gurbani vichars, siddharta by herman hesse, the alchemist by paulo coelho, autobiography of a Yogi by parmahansa yogananda...and can't forget East and West series..a series of small magazines wich inspiring articles..this is published by followers of swami TL vaswani....pretty cool stuff...cuz htey have inspiring material from sikhi, hinduism, islam, christianity... and Se Kaniyaa (but haven't finished it)
  21. i'm not alone in kingston... saday naal sava lakh di fauj hundi hai!!!!!! guru meray sang sadha hai nalay, simar simar tis sada samalaay
  22. i think a lot of it has to do with her tabla player..
  23. khalsa girl..you seem like a dedicated gursikh... but some of your comments are pretty childish and irresponsible... everything amritpal has written on his site is well researched you on the other hand have provided no research for your claims...only to say that "this is what gursikhs have said"...that's not called research... and for you to turn around and say others make things up..that's just really stupid....
