  9. I thought it had something to do with the fact that Guru Gobind Rai were not Guru yet...I think a similar thing happened in Shabad Hazare. Just wondering if it was the same explanation here. Thanks for clearing that up.

  14. DalSingh101 Jee, Why is the "survival" of Sikhism "strongly related" to it's promotion in the modern world? I have always been given the impression that a Sikh will always follow the path of Truth and doesn't "promote" anything. We are not a missionary religion. Can you please elaborate on your comment?

  16. hmmmmmmmmmmmm......then I guess I stand corrected. Although, I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one who thought it can only be burnt. Maybe you're allowed to do both....?
  17. Mehtab Veerji, Just wondering where you learned about Jal Parvaah. I was always under the impression that kesh should be burnt out of respect.
  18. yes, the funniest bit is at 3:58 when the kooka collapses into a ditch on the side lol. I humbly disagree. The funniest part is at 3:27 when Crazy #2 comes in like he's being attacked by killer bees. You see, up until that point Crazy #1 had this thing wrapped up. He was the only guy up there and everyone that walked by was probably saying to themselves "There's no WAY I can compete with THAT kinda crazy." Let's face it, up until that point, Crazy #1 was the superstar. Enter Crazy #2. ..and just like that, it's a whole new ball game. Naamdhari Darbars. Where Crazy Happens.
  19. Agreed 100%, I highly doubt Guru would ask his Sikhs to give someone with obvious mental health issues a thrashing because of such an incident, and the ones condoning such anger fueled vengeance have completely lost the plot of Guru's teachings. Veeray, based on the incident today (May 11) where someone threw water on Guru Sahib IN Akal Takhat would you say this is another case of of someone with "mental health issues"? There is a stark contrast between "anger fueled vengeance" and demanding that the proper sathkar is shown for Guru Sahib. Based on the most recent incident, NOW do you think that the Singh's were justified in using the force that they did?
  20. True ... I think it's kinda fickle for you to believe that you know how Guru Jee would reply at all. :2singh2: I am not bothered by your personal attack, but for the sake of the forum, you may want to think twice. Nonetheless, what did Guruji say to Bhai Kanhaiya? When you encounter a enemy who has killed your Khalsa brothers and he is in medical need give him a thrashing? No, Guruji said the enemy is not the person but the oppresion. Once the threat is removed, the person is not degraded or finished off, but given water and assisted. This person should have been immediately removed, had psychiatric evaluations, given treatment and/or humane punishment as necessary. Those who were thrashing need an education and behaved like Guruji’s darbar was some back lane (the guy was probably mentally ill, what was their excuse for being so crass in guruji's darbar?); collective thrashings in such a situation are disrespectful and actually add to the insult. NO personal attack was intended. Sorry if it came off as that. But I agree with khalistaan_zindabaad. You don't know this guy had mental problems and nowhere in the articles posted does it specifically say that he had mental issues. For all we know his "vision" of Guru Nanak Dev Jee could have been drug induced, or he could have been flat out lying. Also, he's being charged criminally. If he was truly a mental patient I don't think the person would be charged criminally but rather sent to a mental hospital for treatment. Sorry, but the approach used by the Singhs was completely warranted (IMHO).
