  1. Sat Sri Akal: Better be darned good...my bro's organization is on the same name!!! http://www.unitedsikhs.org/ :e:

    Nice Pic

Sat Sri Akal: Uh...no. That would be the Panj Pyare, who have the Guru's Authority in this world. To say anything against them is to say someting against Guru Sahib. You bad-mouthing Guru Sahib? I oughta chase after you with a Thappi...
  3. Sat Sri Akal: And there is this from Sant Attar Singh Sahib's life: One Day, Sant Gyanni Sunder Singh Ji, while holding discussion on practising the Divine Name, said, "If Guru Nanak Dev Ji showers his blessings on a person, he could attain the next spiritual stage automatically provided, he recites the Divine Name in single track devotion. Therefore, a person has only to meditate, practising single track devotion". On this, Sant Ji confirmed it to be correct. In the beginning a sikh devotee recites the Divine Name and holy hymn loudly. By this way, his attention concentrates. After that with meditation only, one can remain in the stage of concentration. Later, lips become motionless and only tongue practices the Divine Name. After some time, the tongue too stops movement. Then 'Kanth' (pharynx) also stops working and subsequently direct constant link with the Divine God is established. In this stage, each and every hair of the human body emits the sound of 'Waheguru' (the Divine Name). And even all world and every thing in it is heard reciting 'Waheguru'. "Jo Bolat Hai Mirg Meen Pankhero So Bin Har Japat Hai Nahi Hore" (1265) "Whatsoever deer, fish, birds speak, they only recite the Divine Naam." A devoted person like this, lives in this world without involving himself in the worldly affairs. Once, when Sant Gyani Sunder Singh Ji visited Mastuana and while discussing the Divine Thoughts mutually, Sant Ji said, "Gyani Singh Ji, we (Sant Ji) with the reliance of Gurmanter (the Divine Name, Waheguru), the state of our mind turns from solicitude to thoughtlessness. And k eeping ourselves within our bodily structure, we establish link with the Almightly. This method is adopted by us." But brave persons like you, with the reliance of 'Gyan' (the Divine Knowledge), keeping yourself in the solicitous state and through self perception, set up relationship with the Divine God." Sant Gyani Singh Ji requested that the method which your goodself (Sant Ji) had adopted and enlightened to us is really a good and superior one. (http://www.kalgidhartrust.com/Rajjogi.htm).
  4. Sat Sri Akal: Minutes later after making the comment, a wooden cross falls out of the sky and strikes the General square in the eye... B)
  5. Sat Sri Akal: MWHAHAHAHA!!!! Olden days...lived in Delhi for 7 years (through riots...same as Khalsa Sahib, neighbors hid us duginr the day and ratted others out during the night). After riots, some brave Sikh wrote in giant letters on a wall in the neighborhood "Khalsa Eho Nahi Marya Jaanda" - The Khalsa Cannot Be Killed Like This!!!! Anyways, remember heading to Punjab to visit relatives. Sleeping on roof at night, drinking Gannae Da Ras (sugarcane juice for you foreigners!) and then throwing up 5 minutes later because it was "not the freshest". Clean air (at that time), lagre farms, nice people and loudness everywhere. Me brothers were victims of Thappi and Jharoo Penthra from moms whenever they got into a fight. Dad was a fan of open-armed combat, with his favorite moves being the ear-twist and the classic Thapar (Delhi chapear). And they say Sikhs don't know combat anymore... :e:
  6. Sat Sri Akal: Need to post a "Sikh Laison" on board aka. 7 foot tall Sikh with a 5 foot dull Khanda. Any Sikh who goes for a drink...WHAK!!!!! That oughta stop that problem...
  7. Sat Sri Akal: As my dad states: "The Government's hands are long." There are members of the RSS ("Sikh" branch) right here in the U.S. in New Jersey. Don't think for a moment this is a small effort. BUT...if they even think for a moment that they will add Gurbani to the Guru Granth Sahib and lead a procession without a beatdown...they are sadly mistaken. There are still enough Sikhs in India to put an end to that one.
  8. Sat Sri Akal: From Baba Nihal Singh Sahib's katha on PanthKhalsa website, sewa to the Panth is recognized in the Nihung circle by honoring the Sikh with a Farla.
  9. Sat Sri Akal: The Guru is sitting on its Eternal Throne in the Gurudwara...the GURU Granth Sahib. What do these pictures of the imagination serve as?
  10. Sat Sri Akal: Jatts existed for thousands of years in the Punjab. Did they do anything as Jatts to stop the Mughal invasion? NO. They took a royal beating, just like the rest of India. Learn what you are being proud of first. Jatt is simply a landowner. On the caste system, a Jatt belongs to a very low class, one that a Brahmin or Kshytria would net even associate with (but would kill if a Jatt got even close to a Hindu Mandir or read a Veda). Yeah...proud to be a peasant. Guru Sahib took all the down-trodden, gave them the dressings and attitude of Kings and Queens, but it seems that people these days like to shed their royalty and become the dirt their ancestors were. Ah well...your choice.
  11. Sat Sri Akal: Radhasoamis have nothing to do with Sikhism anymore. When it was in the beginnings in Punjab, the Radhasoamis used to read the Guru Granth Sahib with a commentary of it from their leader. Nowadays, Radhasoamis read nothing that is of Sikhism.
  12. Sat Sri Akal: Uh...no. Why do we not just begin to take Indian textbooks as fact too?
  13. Sat Sri Akal: Did the police catch anyone or anything happen? Hope that such people are arrested and put away for good. Give a bad name to a good country (good for now that is). Hope that nobody gets hurt...only one more reason of why Sikhs MUST be armed with foot-long or bigger Kirpans. Police can't follow us everywhere.
  14. Sat Sri Akal: Uh...yeah... "I consider only Nanak to be enlightened; the remaining nine masters are just ordinary teachers," they were ready to kill me. I said, "You can kill me, but you will be killing your eleventh master!" Surprised he made it out of Punjab alive... Ah well...he shall die one day. Then the Almighty can slap him around a bit...
  15. Sat Sri Akal: O...k...even violated Gurbani. There is a line in Gurbani that states: sabh thae vaddaa sathigur naanak jin kal raakhee maeree ||4||10||57|| Guru Nanak is the greatest of all; He saved my honor in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga. ||4||10||57|| (Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Raag Soohee, 750 ). Should Guru Nanak at least be sitting in the center at the highest throne? Even Namdharis should have enough common sense to get that part right!!! Never mind everything else that is wrong with the picture...which would be everything... Thank Almighty for Bhai Ganda Singh and his book which contains the letters of Baba Ram Singh. He CLEARLY states that he is but a Sikh and not a Guru. A Sikh whose reputation is tarnished by ignorant followers.
  16. Sat Sri Akal: The best view presented about this was by Balbir Singh Ji's family. In an interview, they stated that Mr. Roque was sentenced by a democratic jury, a sentence that must be respected in the ideals of the democracy that the U.S. is.
  17. Sat Sri Akal: How much you wanna bet RSS will end up killing India?
  18. Sat Sri Akal: Here's an article on the Kartarpur Bir by Bhai Daljit Singh, a prominent Sikh scholar. Beware, a long read, but worth it if you want to know about the Kartarpur Bir. http://www.sikhcoalition.org/Sikhism18.asp Also, the location of THE origional Damdami Bir (the one dictated to Bhai Mani Singh by Guru Gobind Singh Sahib) is unknown. Some claim that Ahmed Shah Abdali took it with him during the invasion of the Punjab, but it is unconfirmed. Regardless, copies of this Damdami Bir do exist (someone even posted a pic of a page of a Guru Granth Sahib bir hand-written by Baba Deep Singh on SikhAwareness pics forum once).
  19. Sat Sri Akal: Remember one thing also. Nihungs wore huge Dumallas, but they were not just cloth. They reinforced the structure of their Dumalla with steel wiring and Shastars.

  21. Sat Sri Akal: If these "Singhs" did it, may they be stabbed by a rusty Khanda...
  22. Sat Sri Akal: Please do not attack the man's race...it's not correct. But yes, he is a republican so..... :umm: @ :umm: @ :D @
  23. Sat Sri Akal: It can depend on the speakers that you are using. If you have good headphones lying around, try them and see if you like. I am using the laptop speakers/headphones setting, which tries to optimize bass and treble for my headphones. Try it.
  24. Sat Sri Akal: O...K...here we go again......... Panthic Rehat Maryada...approved by the PANTH, NOT SGPC. Quite simply, this topic isn't worth internet space. Do nitnem, read the Guru Granth Sahib...Guru Sahib shall do the rest and give you knowledge of whether to eat meat or not. Too many times this topic has been done with no resolution...
