I'm bumping this thread up, because I would like opinions on what the pattern of Punjabi in the UK has been in recent years? Is it still majority from Doaba? In Canada, I understand most of the newbies are in greater number from Majha and Malwa rather than Doaba?

Which is your local Gurdwara? Gurdwaras are not that busy during daytime or weekends. I can tell you this is true for Woolwich and Gravesend Gurdwaras. Certainly, there will be a lot of sangat in Langar Hall but not many sitting in Darbar Sahib But yes, a lot busier than Churches. Churches (by choice/or not) allow all sorts of events to happen within them, like blood donation camps Should Gurdwaras be opening the door for more community events?

Do you believe Tommy is genuinely fighting a cause he believes he, and is not under control of the government/secret services? If he is, I admire him. Being honest, unless you are used to walking at least 10-12 km a day, you will struggle to walk just 42km let alone 142km in a few days. You should start training now if you definitely want to achieve your goal, aim to be walking 25km a day comfortably at least a weak before you set off
