Schools Minister Robin Walker has said schools will continue to teach LGBT content and there are no plans to 'rule out' teaching about trans issues.

The minister made the statement to the House of Commons' Education Select Committee this morning as MPs discussed recent guidance issued to schools on political impartiality.

Mr Walker said that 'we need to talk about the world as it is' - adding that trans people do exist in Britain and are a protected group under the Equality Act

Helena Monk, 27, had stopped in a side road near Altrincham to eat the burger despite having a meal and drinks with a friend the same evening, only to 'panic when she saw a man walk towards her pink Fiat 500.'

She told magistrates she drove back onto a country road to get away from him, where police spotted her swerving around the road with an internal light still switched on inside her vehicle., who lives in an apartment worth £560,000, had initially applied for a 'special reasons' hearing in which drink drivers cite 'exceptional hardship' in an attempt to dodge a road ban.

The comedian questioned whether actors and presenters would be prepared to 'take in a veteran that's homeless', or whether 'that [would not be] leftie enough.'

His comments came after Benedict Cumberbatch, while attending the Bafta Awards at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Sunday, said he would offer his home to Ukrainians fleeing the country's war with Russia

Speaking to Sky News on the red carpet the Power of the Dog star, seen wearing a Ukraine flag pin badge, said: 'It is a really shocking time to be a European two and a half hours flight away from Ukraine, and it's something that hangs over us

Jim Davidson has criticised 'lefty' celebrities who say they will take in Ukrainian refugees into their homes, saying that they are 'not in the real world'. He also took aim at Beneditch Cumberbatch, who while on the red carpet at this weekend's Baftas said he would take in a Ukrainian refugee

'I think already today the news has broken that there's been a record number of people volunteering to take people into their homes, and I hope to be part of that myself.'

Davidson was appearing on GB News' Dan Wootton Tonight show when he weighed in on the film star.

Asked by host Wootton if celebrities like Cumberbatch 'need to politically virtue signal at these events', he replied: 'It's what people do, it's their chance to get on a soap box.

'Ask him if he'll take in a veteran that's homeless who has fought in many wars for this country. That's not leftie enough.

I don't think it's victim blaming to tell women to be careful about this. It's a reality.

I'm just wandering what the relationship is like  between Pakistani cab drivers and other criminals ? Like the 'attacker', whether these attackers are involved closely in a criminal network ?

On a related note, there are many Sikh cab drivers in parts of Kent like Dartford and Medway areas. What is the situation like in East London ?

Not sure what this proves. Seems generally the 'richer' states are in North, South and the Western part of India. These people are likely better educated on average. Chandigarh's average is similar to Panjab's and majority population is Hindu there. Kerala is known for their education and proficiency in English, so probably they are recruited from abroad for professional jobs.

Maybe @shastarSinghcan add something to this discussion ?

Just within a span of few days. And these are the known cases.

    @Premi5 @proactive

People die of accidents all the time, that's the leading cause in young people for death. Is it any higher than the national average ? Looks like the weather was an important part in this accident ?

British expat dies in Cancun after execution-style attack in front of his daughter

A British man from Cornwall was shot dead in Mexico in front of his teenage daughter after reportedly receiving threats from a cartel.

Estate agent Chris Cleave, 54, had stopped at traffic lights as he was driving through the resort of Playa del Carmen near Cancun in his red Audi on Saturday when he was shot by two men on a motorbike.

His 14-year-old daughter was sitting next to him at the time of the attack. She was taken to hospital but was not seriously injured.

The British expat, who had lived and worked in Mexico for more than a decade, died instantly from a bullet to the head and police are investigating whether he was murdered by drug dealers.

Local reports said a man thought to be Mr Cleave was threatened earlier this month along with two other men with a so-called “narcomanta” – a message left by a drug cartel on a cloth banner.

The message, written in Spanish and left in an upmarket beach area of Playa del Carmen, said: “This is for you Filipp and Jack from Playacar, with Range Rover and Porsche cars.

“We are coming for you and the sale of your s--t. Also for you Cris, with the red Audi.

“Shut your mouth before you find yourself in a body bag.

“Playacar will be your prison because outside we’re waiting for you.”

The message was removed by the police soon after it appeared on March 5 and local reports suggested that it had been left by someone involved with selling drugs.

There is no suggestion that Mr Cleave was involved in drugs, but police are carrying out an investigation into why he was the subject of an execution-style killing.

Prosecutors confirmed on Sunday that two arrests had been made over the attack - an 18-year-old man, identified as Lenin N, and a 30-year-old man named Jose N.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of Chris Cleave

One of the suspects was stopped on the motorbike used in the attack shortly after, while the other alleged killer tried to flee on foot after getting off the bike during a police chase and hiding in undergrowth. The gun believed to have been used to shoot the British expat was recovered nearby.

A spokesman for Quintana Roo’s State Prosecution Service said: “We can confirm the arrest of two men who probably participated in the incident that took place on Saturday morning in which a foreigner living in the area lost his life.

“The weapon that was used has been recovered.”

Mr Cleave, from Truro in Cornwall, worked as an estate agent and property manager.

He is believed to have been followed as he left his home before being assassinated as he stopped in traffic.

Friends on Sunday night paid tribute to Mr Cleave, describing him as a “gentleman and an amazing father”.

“When there was something or whatever I needed he was the one I was calling first. Always reliable and trusty. Honest with a golden heart,” one friend said.

Households in the UK will be offered £350 a month to open their homes to people fleeing the war in Ukraine.

Housing Secretary Michael Gove told the BBC tens of thousands of people could come to the UK under the scheme and he may offer a room to a refugee.

But the Refugee Council is concerned about the level of support for those traumatised by war.

Labour said there were unanswered questions, accusing the government of "dragging its feet" over the crisis.

Under the Homes for Ukraine scheme, people will be able to nominate a named individual or a family to stay with them rent-free, or in another property, for at least six months. A website to express an interest in being a sponsor will launch on Monday.

Mr Gove also told the BBC's Sunday Morning programme the government was looking at using the properties of Russian oligarchs sanctioned by the UK for "humanitarian purposes" but there was "quite a high legal bar" and this measure would lapse as sanctions ended.

Retailers Sainsbury's, Marks & Spencer and Morrisons are among the UK companies offering to employ Ukrainian refugees.

In response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, governments are taking aim at the superwealthy with close ties to Vladimir Putin, hitting them with sanctions, cutting off their access to offshore wealth, seizing their luxury yachts and villas and generally making it difficult to be a filthy rich person.

But in the Opinion Video above, Jonathan Pie, the fictional broadcast journalist played by the comedian Tom Walker, argues that even while the United States and the European Union have come down hard on Russian oligarchs, Britain has taken a gentler approach. This response, he argues, is the result of a dark symbiotic relationship that the country has developed with ill-gotten Russian money.

Why are Sikh female dental students so loose? I know of THREE girls from Sikh families who completely went off the rails when they went off to uni to study dentistry. ?

Might be because they were under a lot of pressure to get their place at Dentistry School, and then more pressure once they started?

Were any of them pressured strongly by family to do dentisty ? Did they all qualify and are they practising ?

‘IT’S THE NEXT ROCHDALE SCANDAL’: SELF-PROCLAIMED ‘PAEDOPHILE HUNTERS’ CLAIM PERVERTS ARE TARGETING SIKH GIRLS AND USING THEIR RELIGION TO FORCE CULTURE OF SILENCE

    http://www.storytrender.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/6_CATERS_SIKH_PAEDO_HUNTERS_07-768x512.jpg

    By Dan Coles

A group of self-proclaimed paedophile hunters claim perverts are targeting underage Sikh girls because they can use their religion to force a culture of silence.

Deepa Singh, in his thirties, claims to have both historic and recent evidence of a scandal in the West Midlands which goes back five decades and could mirror the infamous Rochdale and Rotherham child sex grooming case.

The support worker, from Birmingham, West Midlands, believes some men – who he claims are mainly of Pakistani decent – are specifically targeting underage Sikh women to exploit them for sex.

Deepa claims the religon’s traditional cultural values of honour and pride could be being used to enforce silence, with abusers threatening that revealing the abuse will bring shame on victims’ family names and the community as a whole.

He claims his organisation Sikh Youth UK, which he launched in 2013, has roughly 90 examples of the grooming of Sikh girls nationwide in the last 18 months.

Deepa, who receives no formal funding for his efforts, said: “What we have highlighted is the whole process of grooming, patterns and perpetrators that are targeting young Sikh girls specifically.

“Our report shows how the Sikh community have been failed by the authorities, governing bodies and agencies.

“Now we’re putting in as much effort as we can to highlight this issue.

“We will not tolerate this hidden scandal that has been brushed under the carpet and will continue to highlight who the perpetrators are.

“We are not sure that we can stop the problem entirely, as it already goes back more than 50 years.

“What we can do is implement measures to avoid it, intervene where it’s happening and put resources into helping the primary and secondary victims.”

Deepa said his group is designed to prevent vigilante action by tackling issues head-on legally, and even host awareness talks across the country in universities, schools, community centres and Temples.

The group has received support from Edgbaston MP Preet Gill and Rotherham MP Sarah Champion, while working heavily with the Sikh media, all Sikh Gurdwaras in the UK and being a member of The Sikh Council UK.

In 2013, vigilant action in Leicester led to a restaurant being mobbed resulting in multiple men being jailed for offences against a teenager including inciting child pornography, paying for the sexual services of a child and trafficking.

But Deepa insists his group work within the law.

He said: “We’ve lost out previously as a community because not only did the authorities let us down, but when our brothers and fathers tried to deal with it they were arrested and branded vigilantes.

“In 2013, a Sikh girl was groomed, raped, abused, and moved around the Midlands.

“The Sikh community gave the information to the police and they said she would handle it, but the girl was raped four weeks later.

“Hundreds of men went into a restaurant and did what they had to do to defend the girl’s honour.

“13 of them were convicted, and only then were the perpetrators arrested.”

Shocking footage shows him and his team confronting men who allegedly thought they were waiting to meet underage Sikh girls they had been speaking to online but were actually messaging Deepa’s contacts.

West Midlands Police confirmed both citizen’s arrests had resulted in one man being issued with a caution for attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, while the other was released pending further investigation.  ?
