Do you hv any Gurbani pankitis indicating that sant can tell Waheguru ji to change His plans ?

Baba Atal Rai, probably a brahmgyani or very close to it,brought a dead friend of his to life and Guru Hargobind Sahib did not like it and asked His son to die as he interfered in God's hukam.

Same thing happened to baba Gurditta ji, a brahmgyani for sure, when he brought a dead cow to life and Guru Hargobind Sahib did not like it and baba Gurditta ji had to give his life.

What do u make of the above sakhis?

I don't who exactly are 'Brahmgiani' but in Sri Sukhmani Sahib Jee:

    barahm gi-aanee aap nirankaar.

The God-conscious being is himself the Formless Lord.

You should read Kamalpreet Singh Pradeshi's books. He has translated Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji's katha to english. It is so deep. He spent almost 300 pages just on the mool mantar.

I have at least one of them

What I want to find in the meantime, is a very simple but effective way that summarises the meaning of Jap Ji Sahib, explaining the context of each Pauri.

I remember listening to a Katha and it said something along the line of Mool Mantar being the 'head' and the Salok Pavan Guru Paani Pita being the 'feet' ; I need a source that will explain it like that or use some other analogies and so I can understand what it is I am concentrating on when doing abhiyaas

Man spends £12,500 in a bid to make himself 'as inhuman as possible'

A man who wants to look as 'inhuman as possible' has spent the equivalent of £12,500 on tattoos and body modification (pictured). The extreme body modification artist, 28, from the Ore Mountains, Germany, known only by his Instagram handle 'Black Depression' has tattooed his face to look like a jigsaw puzzle, had chunks of ear cartilage removed, ears and nose pierced, and stretched and dyed his eyeballs. The artist has also had both rows of his teeth crowned in titanium, as well as his tongue split.

Strange. Not heard any modern day singer of Pakistani origin sing shabads or Sikhi-related song.

Sikh man alleges Muslim wife, in-laws forcing him to convert, moves court

Chandigarh, Jul 15 (PTI) A Chandigarh-based Sikh man has filed a civil suit in a local court here, seeking directions for restraining his wife and his in-laws from allegedly forcing him and his minor son to convert to Islam.

The court of Civil Judge (Junior Division) Rasveen Kaur on Wednesday issued notices to defendants on a complaint filed by the 36-year-old man and fixed July 20 as the next date of hearing.

In a civil suit filed through counsel Dixit Arora, the man said that he was Sikh by religion while his wife and his in-laws were Muslim.

The plaintiff through his counsel submitted that he met his would-be wife in 2008 in Chandigarh. He was working as a store in-charge of a jewellery store while the woman was working as a sales girl at the same store.

After they became friends, the woman proposed marriage. He initially refused the proposal as he belonged to a different religion while she was a Muslim.

But after she assured him that she would never create any hurdle in his religious feelings and values, they solemnised the marriage according to Sikh rituals in 2008 at Amritsar.

The plaintiff alleged that from the day one of their marriage, his wife and his in-laws started forcing him to profess Islam.

When his in-laws continued to force him to profess Islam, he decided to stay away from them and shifted to Delhi where he stayed for four years from 2008 till 2011.He later shifted to Amritsar where he stayed for four years.

In 2012, his wife gave birth to a boy. His in-laws started trying their best to convert their child to Islam, he alleged.

On the persistent request of his wife, he shifted to Chandigarh in 2016. Since then, there had been active interference of his in-laws in his matrimonial life, he alleged.

He further alleged that his in-laws used to instigate his wife to enter into heated arguments with him as he was not ready to convert to Islam. He further accused his in-laws of insulting him numerous times.

This was posted at the time in another thread, but yes, it's a strange one!

Shud a sant stop tsunami and interfere in Waheguru's hukam?

Giani Thakur didn't say he himself has the power, I think he was saying that that is what Sant jee told him

Sants work in Hukam...Sants can do Ardaas to delay or stop 'plans' from Vaheguru...if they are kind of 'one' with Vaheguru

We as a panth hv so much money but we waste it on useless activities.

From what I hv talked with haryanvi  jaats, they were really impressed by medical facilities they received at kisan andolan.

May be diaspora Sikhs can fund a mobile medical team which can go to villages in haryana and help people with medical treatment, medical tests and medicines.

This will bring affection in the hearts of jaats for Sikhs.

Affection is a very strong tool to win people to your side.

Ideally, this medical team shud be of practicing knowledgeable gursikhs who also believe in 'sarab rog ka aukhad NAAM".

We don't need fuddu leftist doctors who say that religion is secondary and it's more important to be a good human being.

Medical facilities in rural India are terribly bad.

We can send these mobile medical teams of practicing Sikhs not just in haryana but whole of india.

Its a mode of sikhi parchar as well as helping humanity.

    You should become a parcharik....

Depends if it is rural or urban settlers.  As I stated above the vast majority of landholders from Lahore district were resettled in Ferozepur district. Out of a total of 341K acres allotted to landholders from Lahore 274K acres were allotted in Ferozepur district. Ludhiana got only a few thousand acres. This was mainly because Ludhiana had  many colonialists who had moved to the canal colonies in the early 1900s and they were settled in their own villages and their losses were compensated by land left by the Muslims in nearby villages. Even though these colonialists had only left a few decades earlier from these villages, for many years they were still referred to a BAARIYE' meaning from the Bar which were how the wastelands were referred to prior to them becoming canal colonies. The only non-Ludhiana settlers they got were Rai Sikhs from Montgomery who were settled in the 'Bet' villages close to the Satluj river abandoned by the Muslims. Many urban Sikhs from Lahore itself settled in Ludhiana.

@proactive so much knowledge, how ?!

    Super impressed

Santokh Singh: Life term for son who killed dad with cricket bat

Phillip Badwal, 25, had denied murdering his father but changed his plea on Wednesday

A man who beat his father to death with a cricket bat and a metal dog bowl has been jailed for a minimum of 20 years.

Santokh Singh, 59, known as Charlie, was attacked by his son Phillip Badwal, 25, at their home in Airedale Road, Bradford, on 30 November 2020.

Bradford Crown Court heard Badwal, who was on bail at the time of the attack, inflicted "unspeakable violence" after an argument with his father.

He initially denied murder but changed his plea on day two of his trial.

Mr Singh, who had worked as a publican and an engineer, suffered extensive skull fractures, fractures to his face and nose and a broken leg during the 20-minute attack at the family home.

Judge Jonathan Rose described the murder as "a savage, brutal and prolonged attack on a defenceless and vulnerable man".

The court heard Badwal had previously subjected his father to threats and violence and had forced him to go out and buy drugs for him as well as pay off drug debts.

The day before the attack Mr Singh had gone with relatives to see a new flat, having said how unhappy he had been in the family home.

After the attack Badwal called drug dealer numbers instead of emergency services.

He also tried to cover his tracks by throwing the cricket bat over a neighbour's fence, disposing of his phone and telling police his father had come home that morning badly injured.

Barrister Peter Moulson QC said Badwal's addiction to drugs was the root cause of the offending and his client could not recall what had happened in the house.

At the time of the attack, he was on bail for his involvement in multiple street robberies and was jailed for five years at Leicester Crown Court in May.

Speaking after the hearing Det Supt Tony Nicholson, said: "Badwal unleashed a serious and sustained assault on his father in the house that they shared, leaving him with injuries which were to sadly prove fatal.

"Rather than seek urgent medical attention for his seriously injured father, Badwal contacted drug dealers before finally ringing the emergency services, who, despite their best efforts, were unable to revive Mr Singh."

He allegedly bit her lip and neck, and “held her [mouth open] so that he could ash his cigarette into her mouth”, prosecutors alleged.

As Kazakhstan burns over inequality, the elite’s wealth is safe and sound in London

London is home to some £530m in luxury property owned by the country’s ruling class

    6 January 2022, 2.39pm

Protests in Kazakhstan started quietly this week. A sudden increase in the price of liquefied petroleum gas, popular as a secondary fuel for its low cost, sparked public meetings in towns in western Kazakhstan, the home of the country’s natural resources sector.

But five days later, and the system built since the 1990s by Kazakhstan’s first family, the Nazarbayevs, and their associates, looks to have been shaken.

The government has resigned, former leader Nursultan Nazarbayev has been stripped of his role as chairman of the country’s Security Council, and protesters have attempted to storm government administration buildings amid a state of emergency. After a request by president Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Russian troops have now entered the country. Dozens of protesters have allegedly been killed by law enforcement in the city of Almaty, according to a local police spokesperson.

Four thousand miles away in London, though, the UK assets of the Kazakhstani ruling class are sitting quietly. The Central Asian state’s elite owns at least £530.4m of luxury property in London and the southeast, according to data released in a recent report by Chatham House. Some £330m of that luxury property is owned by the extended Nazarbayev family.

Uneducated morons like you working on construction sites would not know how to use politics and manipulation to achieve your goals. Sikhs need to get closer to Muslims to achieve their goals. Kartarpur Corridor was the first step, many more await to be achieved. Nothing wrong in fostering an amical relationship all while being careful to achieve:

    1. Renovation and opening of the many dozens historical Gurdwaras in Pakistan that are in a bad shape.

    2. Recovering Gurdwaras that were turned into schools, libraries and so on.

    3. Overseeing and encouraging Sindhi Hindu and Punjabi Christian (mainly, but other non Muslims not excluded) conversion to Sikhi.

    And so on.

Impossible to achieve all of the above without what I said.

Not every issue in the Panth is related to Jatts or 'elite sponsored grooming gangs'. There is a world outside of that. There are many more dynamics that come into play Dalleya.

@dallysingh101has been to University, and seems to have the highest 'street' education of anyone on this site (in my opinion). He's also worked in offices and as a teacher.

And what's wrong with working on a building site? Maybe he prefers it over the office environment ?

Since when have Sikhs historically been able to trust Muslims ? I think never

Do you see Sikh pracharaks being able to freely spread their message in a Muslim majority country ? I don't

No one ever said "every issue in the Panth is related to Jatts or 'elite sponsored grooming gangs'" - these are not issues mentioned in this thread, but the grooming gangs issue shows an example of why Sikhs cannot trust certain demographics in my opinion
